I did fly out of Glasgow airport one time with my birds family, to go to Tenerife.
I flew in to Edinburgh Airport to be met with TV cameras once in 1991, when I came back from the first gulf war. (Op Granby)
To date, and considering my home base is 30 min NE of Dyce airport beside Aiberdeen. I always fly in and out of Dyce - Business class of course. Always.
I take it you have actually tried to register then? As yet I have not, but I know I am eligible, and believe you me I will be voting.

The governor of the BOE was very polite and diplomatic yesterday, essentially saying that he will do whatever he is told to do but a sterling zone carried huge risk. Don't be in any doubt that he was extensively briefed by Westminster before his visit.
The UK treasury was less diplomatic saying basically, not a chance in hell is the UK entering a sterling zone.
The preamble and stage has been set, the NO POUND bomb is loaded and ready to be dropped at a time that suits Westminster over the coming months.
Oh by the way, Mr Salmond has no choice but to take Scotlands share of debt, if he doesn't he won't be able to borrow, that is fact, just in the same way that the UK has no choice and has to keep all the debt so as not to lose market confidence if Salmond stupidly decides he is walking away debt free.
I actually don't think that Scotland would have that much trouble joining Europe, but they will have no choice but to take the Euro and join Schengen and submit their budgets and spending to Brussells. Scotland would then become a European state about the size of Latvia and with the same political clout. That in my view would be less desirable to a majority of Scots than remaining in the UK.
The hard facts and truths are about to be laid bare and will leave Salmond with virtually no wobble room. Prepare yourselves for the NO POUND bomb Scotland, its on its way.

But if Salmond doesn't take any of the debt of his own volition, Scotland will be deemed by the markets as too risky to lend to, Salmond is in a really difficult spot on that one.
The new utopian Scottish economy will be heavily reliant on north sea oil revenues. If the rUK is in a sterling zone with Scotland and oil prices drop, that is great news for the UK but very bad for Scotland as they won't be able to pay their way. They will have to raise taxes massively and the rUK would be liable to bail them out.
That is why there is no way the UK are getting involved in a Sterling zone.
The seeds of doubt are only being planted at the moment, the UK will wait until quite late to tell Salmond that the sterling zone is definitely not happening so he has less time to bake up an alternative and feed it to the Scottish people. The majority of information from Westminster prior to September will be ambiguous and non-committal so as to give Salmond no time what so ever to have any B-plan right at the end. Quite clever really.

Yes you are right...but you are also wrong...the UK in the case of a Yes vote will not under any circumstances prevent Scotland from using the Pound....it is not in their interest...a deal will occur and Scotland will lose a little of its Sovereignty, but will still be independent...in much the same way the UK has with the EU....

It is absolutely not in the UK's interests to be part of a sterling zone, that decision, i'm afraid, is one for the rest of the UK.
The problem for the Scottish Nationalists is that they know this full well and all they can answer it with is “well its in your interests”.
No it is not the rUK's interests to be getting involved in a very risky sterling zone, we will just keep it as it is thank you. I am English and I would like to have a say in whether or not I want my country to be liable for the debt of a foreign country.
I am afraid that the sterling question will probably be the undoing of the SNP.

In his speech, Mr Carney stressed arrangements for a currency union in the event of independence would be a matter for the Scottish and UK parliaments.
The pound does not belong to England....it belongs Scotland as well.....

The Pound is the currency of the UK, if you leave the UK, you have no pound, unless of course you are able to convince westminster and the treasury to the contrary.

On this form were two unique security codes..No.1 and No.2...

We may not know much but, as Tobias' thoughtfully provided semi-serious video clearly demonstrates, we DO have the ability to laugh at ourselves as well as acknowledge our many foibles.
What most foreigners don't realise about Australians is we'll test you and test and test you but once you have demonstrated that you can take it - we'll adopt you for life.
I'm glad Mr Summers is here and has the opportunity to speak about his home. Whether it will greatly increase awareness of the issues concerning the Falklands I can't say but it can't hurt that his accent is almost perfectly pitched between a Home Counties accent and an Australian accent.

Well I'm hoping I have at least one of each. A murderer, rapist and thief. A trifecta win when you think about it. I mean the ones sent to Australia were supposed to be punished! AND THEY GAVE THEM AUSTRALIA. LOL. Sometimes you just have to chuckle at giving an entire continent to people who were deported for crimes.
Now I know that one of my English ancestors emigrated 100 years ago. Unfortunately I'm unsure how my Scottish ancestors got here (Ayr) or my Irish ancestors. Or my Spanish ones for that matter. The Danish ones were migrants via England.
But the result is the same. I, along with 23 million others, get to enjoy one of the world's richest, safest, most stable and prosperous countries. The only nation encompassing an entire continent. The first in history. And the last.
So I don't know what crimes my ancestors may have committed but jeez I'm thankful that they did. Every day.
As for what you don't know about Australia. Well that will fill a book wouldn't it. But you know enough to make me smug. Oh so smug.

They appear regularly on the police blotters of the time for knife fighting but as they spoke no English the magistrates usually dismissed the cases!
Unfortunately there are no records of who they were and where they came from in Uruguay, so their story is a dead end from this country

There is a small but viable market for this “eco” tourism.

A small tourist industry suits the Falklands fine. You don't have to go there, others will.

The ship was called the Lady Shore & the incident happened in 1797.
To garrison the new colony of New South Wales(which comprised all of Australia except Western Australia)the government raised the New South Wales Corp.
l guess the best troops were fighting in the Napoleonic wars so all the dregs of society were employed & drafted into the NSWC.
There was a detachment of the NSWCorps on board the Lady Shore comprising former French POWs.
These are the ones who began the mutiny.
lf you google Lady Shore Mutiny, there are a few articles about it.
Some are conflicting.
One says that the female convicts were landed in BsAs, another in Montevideo.
Be as that may, the fact is that 66 British female convicts have added to the Latin Am genepool! lol!

btw- l haven't forgotten your request for information re cousins in both the British & German fleets in the Battle of the Falklands in 1914.
Just can't remember the book that it was in & to date haven't found anything on the net.

These are available on two albums and are played on original musical instruments of the time using the music written on the original manuscripts. Look at Mahé on a map. You will see that there is a central range of hills at 470 metres Praslin, La Digue also have areas well above any affect of the ice caps melting.
The main islands in Fiji are also mountainous and apart from the smaller atolls, the bulk of the land would be largely unaffected
The affect on Argentina would be that B.A.,Rosario, Santa Fé would be well under the sea, as would other coastal settlements.
Yes, bits of the Falklands would be underwater but there is still a lot of land above 100 metres.
It appears that Argentina would come off worst.
I take it that you are a child and/or a product of the Argentine education system.

From my general knowledge, I know of the 75th Rangers BUT I don't know of the SHUTZSTAFFEL TOTENKOPF UNIT.
I think it very unlikely that they were an US unit whose primary function was the protection of Hitler and the Nazi party. However, perhaps you know differently.
Please enlighten me on this obvious gap in my knowledge.
