Disclaimer & comment rulesJust returned from a trip there visiting Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales as well as Torres de Paine. As the article said the area exudes confidence and growing prosperity. Lots of British, German, and Australian tourist enjoying the sights and wildlife. Some really nice restaurants, coffee shops and luxury hotels too. Plus very nice welcoming people. You can still see Huasos on horseback with their dogs herding the sheep and there are plenty of wild animals and birds in a pleasant unpoluted landscape. We enjoyed our stay much more than we thought we would. Chile is a wonderful place to visit.

don't miss Puerto Williams, the southernmost City of the World, named in honour of John Williams Wilson. British -Chilean Commander in the Chilean Navy.
