Lucia, dear, you're 69, enjoy your life that you have left. José is 78 and doesn't have that much time left. So spend it with him. Not with the thankless task of a politician.

A female poor man’s Che. Middle class family and she was the black sheep that turned terrorist against an elected government.

Well, it took her hubby to jump the gun and propose her for VP, does that mean nobody else wants her, I think so. That does not mean she won’t “fight” for the job but if she is as piss poor fighting for that as she was for the stupid sods aka the Tupas, she will get left in the chrysanthemums (the pair farm them).

No we don’t want another complete idiot from the Mujica stable but she does at least fit that bill looking like the old broken down mare that she clearly is. NONE of my Uruguayo friends want her anywhere near the job, but I have to admit that none of them wanted “No Money Pepe” either, sensible people my friends.

So as the old twat himself said “but time will say and decide”.

Rh. Ferrugineum - commonly known as the Alpenrose, is a hardy dwarf species native to the Alps
Rh.Periclymenoides is called nudiflorum over here and described as an azalea. Native to East coast USA
I grow neither of these species.

I prefer Cinnabarinums, Crassums, Augustinii, Loderi and Sino Grandes.
In fact nearly all species and hybrids EXCEPT Ponticum.

As a matter of fact, I spent 4 hours in Benmore Gardens yesterday photographing the ones currently in flower.
I also went to Gallimaufry in Blairmore for coffee and a chat with the owners son about “local worthies”....interesting !

Are you interested in Rhododendrons ? If not, what is the point of the question ?

So Stevie. You finally agree with me on something.

You only admitted there could be one and tried to confuse the issue.

    Nothing else.
    So prove it.

    2) On April 15th 2013, Venezuela’s opposition leader, Mr. Capriles and the President of the National Electoral Commission of Venezuela, Mr Diaz, asked for a 100% audit of the votes; a request promptly accepted by winning presidential candidate, Mr. Maduro…

    Sau-Sage of Chubut.

My point was that it doesn't matter.
Yes my initial post was wrong BECAUSE I could not be arsed reading the article. I had been looking at the posts on Venezuela and did not notice I had brought up the Uruguay section.
I saw...Mujica proposes wife Topolansky as the ruling coalition's vice-president candidate....and read no further. Typical Argie, Uruguayan or Venezuelan nepotism. End of story.

As to brainwashed monolingual Anglo Turnips.
Why do you think we are monolingual because we chose not to learn Spanish ? If we know enough to order a meal what else is there to know ?
If we lived in S.America, Spanish and especially Portuguese would be useful
In Europe, Spanish and Portuguese are of minor importance. If anyone from these countries want to get on in life, they learn English.
French/German are useful languages for culture and science...Spanish is for tourists.
Why do S.Americans bother to learn English ....you tell me !
Is it mandatory or is it because the rest of the world doesn't think Spanish is useful to them, so you need English or American to communicate..
As to brainwashed, at least we do have brains to wash.
I am not so sure about your chums.

    Definition of nepotism :--
The practice among those with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs:

Kirchner -KFC -Maximo. Nepotism or not ?
Mujica - wife. Nepotism or not ?

    Definition of basket case:-
(idiomatic) A country in a difficult economic or financial situation.

    Venezuela....basket case or not.

    If you disagree state reason

Stevie, the failed revolutionary socialist, you remind me of the speakers I used to see on Tower Hill, London, in the early 60's. They would mount their soap boxes and set right the world's' problems as they saw it .
No alternative viewpoint had any value.
It was almost messianic. The socialist worker's paradise was just round the corner. The problem for them was that nobody wanted it !
So they would climb off their soapbox and depart. Do yourself a favour and copy them !
I possibly do talk drivel at times, as do all of us. You are the exception, with you it is all the time.

We can continue our slanging match if you wish. Being “monolingual”-not true -my command of the English language and it's idiomatic use is superior to yours so it's one you will not win.

@55 Stevie...re-defining 'dynasty“ ?? hardly.....for the benefit of your small brain, I'll spell it out for you : dynasty = ”succession of rulers from the same family“ ...Nestor K 2003-2007, CFK 2007-2011, CFK 2011-2015, and had old bulgy eyes not croaked in 2010, he'd probably be re-elected 2015...is that or is it not, a ”succession of idiots from the same family“ ??
And just for your info, Mr. English scholar, the word ”electronical” does NOT exist...except in your wee brain.....ignoramus !

In order for it to be a dynasty, the succession has to be in generations, Jack.

    In English

Because “family” in this case, counts as of the same blood. Husband and wife of the same blood may be common where you come from, but don't project it to the rest of the world, or the English language...

@64, Stevie, in the colloquial sense, “dynasty' was perfectly accceptable in the context in which it was used....it was pretty f**king obvious to all - except to you. Don't pretend to be a smart ass, because all you are is the ass.
How about 'electronical” ?? care to comment ??

    I is the ass?
And who are you? Ali G?

Of course, remove -al and stop thinking about it...

Stevie, I'm fully aware that any time spent on you, is 'wasted', but because I have some time to spare, I'll spell it out for you...again -
Although not necessary for native English speakers to understand, I could have inserted a comma....so, for your sake , here goes, with 'commas'...: Don't pretend to be a smart ass, because all YOU are,,,,is the ass. See, you are just the ass. Not smart.
    Whose Ali G ? your idol ?

Stevie, you're the “scholar” , much obliged....so it should've been WHO'S....just a typo....But when are you going to learn that this forum is supposed to be about 'content' not 'form' ?? but don't let it worry you, you're pretty bad at both.
