    Hmm “full membership request”!

I wonder if it will be forthcoming?

And if it is, how will Mercosur react to such an independent path by Paraguay?

A better move in the long run.

At the moment, MERCOSUL has stalled out.

Mercosur will not admit this, otherwise Paraguay would be the troyan horse to anihilate the weak and less competitive internal market of Mercosur. Pacific Alliance would eat them alive...

“Paraguay's aspiration to join the Pacific Alliance is not seen with good eyes by Brazil or Argentina the main partners of Mercosur.”

    So what did they expect?

Both of the hags that are supposed to be leading their respectives countries crapped on Paraguay and now they don't like what Paraguay is doing, tough titties.

The sooner Mercosur goes tits-up the better.
