#4 Not only did it go to arbitration, and Argentina lost to Chile (after claiming a bit of Chile), the arbitration was agreed to be handled by Queen Elizabeth II (she delegated it of course), odd that Argentina agreed to the UK arbitrating in the first place if they themselves had a genuine dispute with the UK. The Chileans know that the UK is a friendly country with no designs on their territory and no wish to boss them around, unlike the beast in the east.

Well at least Dominguez got wants the capital removed BsAs and placed in the North. The country desperately needs infrastructure and more conection with Chile. It really does.

However this has to do more with domestic politics as CFK tries for people to assimilate the Chilean success story with her Argentina “administration” of 8 years, and also wants people to assimilate Bachelet's own comeback to politics with her own ambitions for 2019. Kind of the same partnership they wanted to portrait politically with Dilma and it turned out pretty bad.

Of course Bachelet is not stupid and a complice enough to give her what she wants....or is she??

What was telling was how little was said.

Dominguez used the now established routine of talking about the FI after a foreign dignitary visit has visited. Other than that he talks about an agreement that was signed in 2009. In other words no new agreements or initiatives were discussed.

But every cloud has a silver lining. Dominguez is correct that the Maipú agreement presents great opportunities. The northern route goes right through Condorito's turf. All that “worthless” fiscal land in La 4ta Región that government gave away in the 90s to anyone who had the initiative to go and mark it out....not so worthless any more :)

@19 “No one knows where Britain even is in South America”

There you go again making sweeping false statements. The very small world you inhabit probably is full of ignorant people that cannot identify countries on a map. I believe that.

    In general:

Is anyone watching 'The Road to Rio' on Dave? A couple of comedians - Mark Watson and Henning Wehn - travelling through the six South American countries taking part in the World Cup Final. Last nights episode was in Argentina and very funny it was too. They were on the hunt for Maradona, met a few Argentinian footie players and visited the Maradona church in Rosario, amongst other things. The commentary on the Argentinean players was particularly funny as they all seemed to have been banned or sent off for bad behaviour. But the players all spoke affectionately about their time in England and were mature enough to accept their behaviour was somewhat lacking at the time.

During the programme they visited one of the Villa's to scout for new talent as many famous Argentinean players came from such backgrounds. They needed a guide and a full police armed guard to go into the Villa. They were warmly welcomed but at no point could they have been there without the armed guards.

For TTT's information, everyone knew where Britain was, even in the slums.

If you can see it, it was an affectionate and funny episode. Next week is Chile.

#25 so it is tit mouse. Seems you are too stupid to get the point. Back to point. Is the education so bad in Argentina they no longer teach geography there? Or do the teach a bastardized version of it. England is up there with Egypt, Greece, Rome as empires and they do not teach history either?

WTF do they teach in Argentina? Let me restate that.........in the public kirchnerized schools in Argentina. Must Argentine's I know had to go to private school for a real education.

    @28

Let's count the sweeping generalization shall we??

“The commentary on the Argentinean players was particularly funny as they all seemed to have been banned or sent off for bad behaviour.”

All argentine football players are bad thugs. (not a generalization in Elaine World)

“They needed a guide and a full police armed guard to go into the Villa. They were warmly welcomed but at no point could they have been there without the armed guards. ”

All football players in Argentina come from a Villa (not you are really getting deep down in Elaine World).

Notice again, confirming what I was saying in the other thread, NOT ONE positive about the country. The summation is all argies are thugs and come from “slums”.

Well, that's not sweeping enough isn't it? And the best part it is not one guy on some obscure internet website “sweeping”, it is a British television chain!

Which confirms what I have been saying the Brits are delusional. Here is one Brit-She scathing me on “sweeping statements”, follows it up with a British television show making sweeping statements on the AIRWAVES (note the “church of Maradona” being included, intimating all argies are supersticious pseudo- religious heretics), adding cherry to that turpitudinous cake of cheap stereotypes.

Of course, if an Argie show went to Britain, and showed some monolingual, toothless British Chavs shooting penalty kicks and missing goal each time, Elaine would be the first crying foul.

These people are not rehab material. Which is why like I just say: The Truth shall be trolled.

    @TTT

Yes, the comedians met with Argentinean players that had 1) cheated, 2) refused to go off when sent off, 3) been sacked for leaping into the crowd and punching a supporter.
The players had a sense of humour about it, which you just do not possess. I didn't categorise ALL Argentinean players as thugs at all. I was talking about a television programme that I did not produce or edit.

I didn't say all Argentinean players came from the Villas but the programme highlighted that a lot of talented players do have that background. Indeed, if you have an opportunity to watch it you will see that retired payers go into the Villas to talent spot and work with the young players there. They must think it is worth spending time there.

Try reading my post without the huge chip on your shoulder obscuring your view.

“If you can see it, it was an affectionate and funny episode. ” Affectionate. Funny. Both positive words you have ignored because it doesn't feed your persecution complex.

LOL so no south Americans know of England or the UK!! Well you lot seem to, does that mean that your not from Latin America LOL Here is a little snippet of data, it is somewhat outdated now as it is from 2008

“The APS suggests the 2008 Latin American population of London to be
79,269 out of a total UK Latin American population of 130,186. London
contains 61 percent of the UK Latin American population by country of birth.
The largest proportions of Latin Americans in London come from Brazil,
followed by Colombia and Argentina. ”

    Then we have this :-)

“2008 number of South Americans granted British citizenship 27,939”

Then you might want to read this LOL

Your knowledge of Britain is atrocious, especially when discussing your lack of need for it.

As the UK is the second largest investor into medical research in the world, with two of the largest pharmaceutical companies....chances are very often Latin Americans are very grateful for British products and British innovation.

Indeed, in times of direst need, it may often be British innovation that saves lives and cures disease.

Now of course it maybe correct, as you suggest, that the poor education system in most of Latin America means that there in no appreciation of where many of the vaccines, medicines and treatments you rely on come from. Indeed, you may be right that the poor education means many couldn't find the UK on a map....that is not our worry, it should be yours.

But, when...(unlikely though it may seem), you were to have children...(Yuk, poor, poor girl) and they require healthcare, I urge you not to look at where the vaccines or drugs were developed...but just thank your God that they were.

The problem Argentina has is not in persuading the various Latin countries, or indeed the odd tinpot dictatorship to side with them on this Malvinas fiasco. They voted with Argentina last time there was a UNGA vote on self-determination of NSGTs.

The issue they have is that the vast majority of countries that were neither Latin nor tin-pot voted with the UK, giving the UK a sizeable majority in the UNGA. Simultaneously, destroying more Argie lies that “the world supports them” and removing any doubt that self-determination applies to all NSGTs.

When we start to see say 10-20 countries that are neither tin-pot nor Latin (or both in some cases), supporting anything else than peaceful resolution...then perhaps there is a story.

Currently, I count 2 countries, India (Kashmir in mind), and China (anyone of two dozen island groups!!!) that voted with Argentina in 2008 that are of any interest....the rest were Latin or tinpot.

Whereas the 60 or so voting with the UK were quite a diverse mix.

Vestige- you are missing a point or to- Chile has a successful growing economy - largely because its Govt keeps out of it and lets business do business and just collects profits taxes. So I do not see a Chilean Govt telling Lan where it can and cannot fly to. Chile respects international conventions and organisations as well.
As for other routes - so you are telling me that if a major US or European airline that say already flies to Brazil sees a worthwhile opening in the Falklands to add on in future - that a Brazilian Govt is going to tell that major int airline where it can and cannot fly to?
Even one from Uruguay for that matter - or further north than Brazil.
all of the above would go clear of Arg airspace.
You do have an inflated view of Argentina,s power over other nations and the respect they allegedly have for Argentina.
No- the only way the Lan route from Chile would stop is if your President has the balls to cancel and withhold the overflight permit -which would be a major breach of UN governed Int flying regulations and I doubt she has the balls to do it.
GB has good friends in S.America - Brazil-Chile-Peru-Columbia for a start, Royal Navy ships not associated with the Falklands visit Brazil.RN ships associated with the Falklands visit Uruguay, Chile(Valparaiso) and Columbia.

Chile's position has remained unchanged. In other words verbal support for Argentina's claim. It is all in the name of co-existing. Chile has nothing to lose by taking this position. It helps keep Argentina in check re Bolivia's claim on our north (as was demonstrated during Bachelet's last term).

It also has no impact on our relations with the UK that continue as good as ever. The only more Anglophile country in South America is ironically Argentina.

I will ask you for the FOURTH TIME, you've dodged the question every timef: Why do “I” need to prove to you or anyone else here anything?

Why have you not demanded the same of all the others here when they talk about Argentina, like asking them “you ever been there?”

    But you don't.

The only conclusion to that double-standard and your own reticence is that “argies” must prove to European and North American posters their credentials but NOT the other way around.

    57 islander.

If you think that flight routes are somehow impervious to political influence when theres billions of dollars passing between Argentina and other mercosur countries then think again.

Whatever friendship GB might have with Brazil, Chile etc is now nothing compared with the economic ties and mercosur membership of Argentinas direct neighbors. A flight slot or two is nothing between besties, nor is hangar space, permits, new regulations, and so so much more in the tricky, and so often political, business that is aviation.

Where theres a will theres a way, especially if theres munnay and influence involved.

(I doubt the islands are a very profitable or important route for anyone important ... new more profitable opportunities may suddenly appear)

Each day, each large trade contract, each accord, vested interest and diplomatic meeting among the chattering classes of these ever closer neighbor countries, is an opportunity for Argentina to control 90% of the islands air transport. So give it a little time.

“The Maipù treaty is a great opportunity for the great north of Argentina, an area far from the traditional Atlantic trade relations, thanks to the economic, land and ports complementation between our north and Chile”.

I would read this as a sweet buttering-up of Chile to then sponsor and promote Argentina into the Pacific Alliance. Dictated Argentinian terms to then follow.

And that is why neither would want to piss off a major airline from EU or USA if it wanted to onfly to the Islands - I say - if - the demand is not there yet.
Oh and where does this mystical 90% of air-routes come from - currently 33% come from S.America - the other 66% come direct from Europe.
If you were silly enough you could control- ie stop - the 33% - but that is where you end.

The money that was supposed to be spent on bring the national carrier up to date went “missing” didn't it? and no one seems to know where it went so really, more damage at this point would tend to go unnoticed.

The only thing that argentina could do ( and this has been discussed over and over on this forum ) is to deny overflight to any Chilean airline flight going to the Falklands, that would also be self defeating again but no one would notice that either me thinks.

    Keith
I see in your world that two wrongs make a right.

So Mendocinovino has descended to the same level as Ilsen and Troy then? Wow he must be so proud of himself. And he's added layer of homophobia - so is now worse or better than them?

And if you think that remark of Troy's was homophobic then I expect A_Voice to find you even more curious. Here's a hint. Me telling you to shove something up your arse doesn't make it homophobic. Calling you gay for saying something does.

I'm unsurprised you can't tell the difference.

    Firstly;
“Confused by you Geek chic gay self proclaimed superior intellect BA uni terminology.”

    Superb!
I must admit that I highly 'camped-it-up' on another thread, but that was for the same reason.

    Thanks Anglotino,

His “righteous indignation” at my comments are like water off a duck's back to me, given his selective criticism, ignoring the slagging by Voice et al.

@121 Anglotino --Own your mistake mate. --What mistake. You yourself are not impartial to using sexual references. But you find the word “Gay” off limits.
--Now you are just sounding whiney and pitiful.--Why have you directed that at me? seems to me those other trolls are the winey ones......i'm cleverer than you...waaa.......I went to University......see i am clever I proved it. Don't make me laugh!
-Defend yourself? God grow a pair and move on. Your inane and continuous trolling while chasing people around this site is truly yawn-inspiring. -- I am sure that parents of Children who take their own lives because of online bullying or parents of military Cadets who suffer actual bullying will take that well thought out advise to heart and offer that to other victims.
--Chasing--Troy following me to the Coral thread. ILL SON following me to a thread that is long forgotten to me. But you decided to mention it to me not them. Why? So you have your own prejudices regarding women and their lack of Gonads. So now women are less inclined to stand up and argue a case just because they have none? No. But you never meant that did you. Was just a phrase to be used on me. But you saw no harm init it did you? So lets not get into pulling things apart word by word or your own post will become equally “Yawn inspiring”
--no one had trolled you on this thread. You just waltzed in and took aim at someone. That is trolling in its truest form.--you could be right. But since Mentally ILL SON did that to me then he has set a president for me.
-Chasing Ilsen and Troy seems to get you going. Doesn't make you gay, just pathetic.--If standing up to Bullys is Pathetic in your view then you are welcome to it. it would be easy to let them carry on.
--As Troy has shown, this isn't the first time you have attempted to insult someone by calling them gay. --No. He has not done anything of the sort.

Yes it is interesting which logins are getting duplicated.

Keith York was supposedly 'duplicated' by Mendocinovino. And Stevie is supposedly being “impersonated” on here and yet he isn't even kicking up a stink. Which he does at the drop of a hat.

    So who is who?

    Mendocinovino's = Keith York - that's a fact now.

Note the lack of follow up by Keith York. No comments removed. No indignation. Especially after he swung in against my comment to Mendocinovino, but quiet now in addressing Mendocinovino's supposed impersonation.

Mendocinovino = Stevie? Seems so as he is the only other person to have this happen.
    http://en.mercopress.com/2014/05/16/morales-reveal-that-with-argentine-help-bolivia-is-developing-nuclear-energy#comment326806

Because if someone has found a way to fool the system in creating logins then you have to wonder why they only chose to impersonate Keith York who hardly ever comments and Stevie who seems uncharacteristically quiet about the matter.

    And suddenly they all disappear.

  • Anglotino

Well you can easily see that Mendicinovino replied using the Keith York login and that was it.

It is the same when Stevie supposedly had an impersonator. They both just brushed past it hoping no one would make an issue of it. And that it would be forgotten.

But tell me, if someone managed to post messages using the same login name as you, what would be a natural reaction?

Well first you would complain to Mercopress and have the comments removed.

Second you would say loudly and clearly everywhere possible what had happened. And if Mercopress failed to action it, then you would highlight this inaction.

Some reactions are normal. And some are abnormal. If you can really game the Mercopress system to create identical logins then why in the hell would you impersonate Keith York?

Why not a more prolific poster such as Think or A_Voice or ChrisR or Yankeeboy or even me?

Because if someone did that to me, my first action would be to post an identical message on every single open article with a link to the message explaining that it wasn't me.

I wouldn't just ignore it. That is not a normal reaction.

So far I have only seen two people claim this happened. Funnily enough Mendocinovino and Keith York have disappeared. And Stevie has snuck in and posted a quick message on one thread.

    But they are vey quiet.

As quiet as a think went when he did the same thing with Doveoverdover and then Surfer. Though he has now hoped enough time has past to pretend otherwise.

Probably what this person is now doing.

That's funny, I've been on here longer than your current persona, and I don't recall Anglotino ever doing that.

Certainly if it was as you say, there would have been such a hue a cry going up from the Trolls like yourself, accusing and denouncing, instead of sitting smugly by, as you would have us believe.
It's likely there would even have been queries from side of a Goodness and Niceness, too.

That being said, there have been the occasional glitches in the MP site program that occasionally allowed people to post consecutively, it happened to me twice, and others have remarked thst it happened to them.

I don't think you have a case against Anglotino, not does it look like the Trolls, Mendocino or Keith, have been maliciously duplicated. A victim of his own stupidity or carelessness, more likely.

I would not know from personal experience, but perhaps those having multiple accounts or different logins using the same IP...

I would quite like to leave you in your ignorant bliss, but I feel a certain duty to enlighten the less fortunate, even if just a little.

When your browser interacts with the servers that hosts this very page, the server obtains all sorts of data from the “client”, the IP address, the operating system, the screen resolution etc. How else do you think webpages know which language, currency, etc to present you with?

All your VPN does is present a different IP to the webpage. The trail back to you can be followed back to the VPN and through the ISP. It is a two way street.

    Bye bye now.

“Note how Skip is keeping quiet...”

What you may have failed to note was the time of my last post. 12.05PM GMT. I definitely wasn't waiting around 2 hours for your reply.

I am not geo-ambiguous like you. I am quite happy to admit I am in Melbourne. So I posted at 10PM. You replied at midnight my time.

    Nice try.
    http://instagram.com/anglotino

Anyway you are correct. I have posted multiple posts one after the other to get my point across. I have never hidden nor denied the fact.

But for some unfathomable reason you, who will be pedantic over the pronunciation and origin of a word for days on end, equate this with someone using more than one name on here.

The ability to post consecutive comments is nowhere near the same as posting a comment under a DIFFERENT name. Also I have never disclaimed those comments as they were consecutive and flowed as one long post.

However both Keith York AND Stevie disowned the comments. They CLEARLY state someone else is using their name.

The only posters to EVER have it happen. You posting multiple times on this thread don't count because I know it's you.

You might never forget but I never lie. So you will never trip me up on inconsistencies.

Also Mercopress can remove an entire post. That is why on some threads the replies go out of synch. Reply to comment #22 when it is now #21. So you either do forget or you aren't as observant as you believe.

Anyway Mendicinovino is now claiming it was all part of a psychological experiment using different logins:
    http://instagram.com/anglotino

And Stevie is keeping a low profile hoping that everyone will fail to realise what has happened:
    http://instagram.com/anglotino

I suggest you all comment freely to them on those threads.

You have failed to note the obvious....
It was a fine example of a poster following his post with another post using the same name....
Something you have just admitted doing, also something that Troy denied you have ever done....
What is different this time is someone duplicating names exactly... for me to now assume that was you I would then have to assume you are both Keith York and Stevie....
I may have considered this a possibly until my name was duplicated and it now appears that I'm replying to myself..I'm not.
Therefore I know it's not you pulling the trick of consecutive posting, but someone using both Stevie's and Keith's name exactly....
It may even be that the post @127 was not Keith York and that his post was @128 and 130.....
Why not explain why my comments are being removed....?

No it's isn't possible to post 2 post from the same account. However you can have to two accounts and swap the logins. As long as you change the original login to “free it up” for use by another login.

For instance, if I changed my screen name to a different name then anyone could use Anglotino.

It is NOT possible to register a screen name using any combination of spaces to confuse the system and hence have an identical screen name to someone else.

Nice try but that was a FAIL.

It's so easy to do it when I have the screen name.

    Impossible if I don't!

Prove me wrong.... oh that is right, you can't.

    FAIL!

Nah, Anglolatino, you are aiming for clouds... Look at A_voice's triple post, two of them within 2 minutes. Means A_voice changed screenname while somebody took it and posted. All in 2 minutes.

Continue though, it's highly amusing to watch you destroy that wall :)

Aah I did it in 1 min.

    FAIL!

“A Voice [in his own head] has left the building.....” a somewhat quieter and humbler little troll.

    You run along now!
    Hang up that sock.
    It wont be missed ;)

Can only do it with your own screen name Stevie.

    Yet another FAIL.

Obiously, somebody is better than you.

    Will you stop that tic?

    Stevie

It amazes me what upsets you on this site.

Now that someone is impersonating you, you aren't upset.

You have now spent hours and dozens of comments attempting to downplay that someone supposedly impersonated you. And yet they got no comment at all.

    Human nature dictates otherwise.

Stop failing and I'll stop using FAIL. The ball's in your court on that one.

You've been caught out. You've attempted to ignore. That was natural. You've attempted to deflect. That was natural. You've attempting to confuse. That was natural.

But you aren't indignant. That is definitely not natural.

Why would I worry about what you lot come up with?
If you can't understand it, lets just say we prioritize differently.

“You've been caught out. You've attempted to ignore. That was natural. You've attempted to deflect. That was natural. You've attempting to confuse. That was natural.”

    You got the order wrong.

It started with you getting confused. Natural. You couldn't understand why you were getting ignored. Normal. In a last desperate, deflective move, you set a net to catch me. Amusing.

    Fish not hungry.

You may think you are confusing me but you aren't.

Oh well I guess we'll wait for the “false” Stevie to post again.

    Will he?
    Or won't he?

    Agreed.

This will be downplayed as quickly as possible and then misremembered.

Which is exactly what Think did with Doveoverdover.

It must be in the manual.

I wonder who Mendacious and Keith Pork will re emerge as?

That level of bile must be hard to keep down!

I have noticed one new possible new arrival. Started off all nice and friendly, but now posts random unfocused angry stuff all over.

I am keeping shtum for now. .... we shall see. ..... these people normally end up tripping over their own massive hairy troll feet.
