The Brazilian government is counting on a strong presence from world leaders during the football World Cup, which kicks off on June 12. Cristina Fernández, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and US vice-president Joe Biden are among the dignitaries expected to attend. Read full article

@3 I doubt whether WE would allow Her Majesty to attend. Especially as she would have to be surrounded by the SAS. All operating on a simple principle. Shoot and kill! And WE do, don't WE? Wonder how you'd like the RAF Typhoons and Army Apaches constantly overhead? The missile-equipped submarines and warships off the coast? The knowledge that if Her Majesty stubbed her toe an entire city would be totally destroyed. You know we can, don't you?
