@Klingon...dam. you beat me to it!

Just when you think they cannot possible do or say anything more retarded they pull out other great chestnut.......

Still. Look at the positives. IF they don't run out of money building a plant then it will (possibly) work after some delays and cost overruns of course. Then..EXPLODE.....leaving a small part of the planet free of these devolved humans......

    @3 good point.

    You are one nasty scum.

Why would you make such a gratuitous derogatory statement? In the real world, outside this website, Argentina's nuclear know-how is respected. And yet with all that you find to criticize and insult Argentina in, you still find a way to insult it in something positive.

What a rat you are. You can't be Argentine because if so you are a rat and scum.

I will insist you are not, so I take those descriptors back. You are just the average run of the mill anti-argie Euro, North Am, or Brit.

Two governments that can't properly handle: poverty, drug trafficking, transport, the economy, violent crime, and immigration; and they want to look into nuclear energy? Bolivia can make a killing off Lithium, which will increase in value as the demand increases. Unfortunately, It won't happen any time soon, and likely end up being horribly mismanaged if it ever does.

Just imagine what he'd do if he had nuclear power. But there will be an “accident” involving British nuclear weapons in the near future. The “accident” will probably take place over Buenos Aires. The British government will deny involvement. And it will be telling the truth! Because I will be sneaking in to launch any number of missiles. Do you think 8 would be enough? Argentina first helped Bolivia organize and train its “Navy.”
Now, Argentina will help Bolivia develop nuclear energy.
Next step, I suppose, Argentina will build a “nuclear” submarine, for the defense of the waters of Lake Titi- Caca.
Unless, generous Argentina gives Bolivia an outlet to the Atlantic Ocean.

It's one thing to criticize what can be genuinely criticized, but you, you go out of your way, like here, where the topic had nothing to do with rocketry, go out of your way to trash Argentina when it was completely uncalled for in the subject.

And for the record I have been to the UN Cuyo which oversees or used to at least the Balseiro Institute, so I know from the many international visitors that Argentina's nuclear scientists and sector is highly respected, in spite of your attempts to flush it down and deny those people their studies and hard work.

Truly disgusting. But it's your right to speak so if you wish. It just makes you small and vindictive. It would seem you resent all things Argentine because the country does not follow the path you wish it to follow.

I know how this works. Massive budgets for “respected state institutions” like FAdeA, CONAE, CONADEP to undergo proyects that take years and years to complete get engulfed in corruption and miss management and you end upp having rockets that fail to launch, only 3 AIA Pampa planes, UAVs that can only fly a radious of 30 Kms...

Now im supposed to think a energy rich country like Bolivia needs nuclear power, a populist and throwback president that cant even read outloud in spanish is going to form a respected team of ideologically independent and professional engineers to do this ???

Yep the Unions have a hell of a lot to answer for...

The best sector to develop industrially from is Agro machinery that is a very good standard but lacks completely capacity and its production rates are anemic because they lack capital and finnanciation. Those could have very well whooped Brazils arses in the last decade.

Instead of using the farmes as a market and a usefull tool to develop the rest of the economy the simply decided to use its income to sustain the model and subsidize the State and other sectors.

It actually costs over $30.000 for each guy that works in a factory in Ushuaia in subsidies and differential exchange rates, energy subsidies etc.
They think they know better where to put the money than the market.

They have already failed to have much say on where and how the money is spent. Im sure they could be doing much more.

What they surely dont want is that the bomb explodes on them while they arrive. So why is it that nobody is complaining in the political arena about the expenditure of the State and the size of it ???

Well its just to un politically correct to do so in Argentina, they dont want to be branded the “neoliberals”

What are they going to do with all these State companies and pharaonic projects when they came to power ???.

The funny part is the public is complaining about the ammount of taxes they are paying and whant the minimum of “ganancias” risen, but they dont want to let go of free football. Nobody is saying lets get rid od Aerolineas, Ar-Sat, Telam, and so much other junk.

The country that is most like Argentina productively is New Zealand
If you put on a map each country beside each other and compare them in terms of geography, resources, altitude and climates you will find striking resemblances.

The only difference is that New Zealand is a mini Argentina in terms of what you can do. Argentina has 10 times more people but it has also 10 times more surface.

You just need a proper system in place that allows mining, tourism, light industry, o/g, agro industry, farming and regional economies to grow and develop by themselves
You don’t really need a super high tech economy and developed industry to become a developed country.

You just need to be credible, efficient, open to the world and remove the super State from the way.

@84 New Zealand has ten times less people, that's ten time less jobs to give, and most importantly, ten times less manufactured goods to import. Argentina is just too big to live only on soy and import everything else, at that point the value of manufactured goods is larger than the value of the commodities you make. Argentina can't survive with commodities.
I agree that the state is getting too far in some places, but just less regulation isn't going to make the manufacturing and service sectors magically competent.

Well folks, I have only just come to this topic and what a laugh I have had with TTT posts and a few others.

The Argentine nuclear industry is a joke and NOT respected anywhere, especially where they have had reactors built by the clowns at INVAP.

INVAP cannot even design the pellet holders without making schoolboy errors in the pressing design: that was what did it for the Aussie reactor, as well as the fractures in the pool. But it’s only water, isn’t it! Ha, ha, ha!

If the Cowpat is hoping that this bunch of losers is going to make him an “Energy President” anytime soon he is badly mistaken if the previous efforts are anything to go by.

Keith York was supposedly 'duplicated' by Mendocinovino. And Stevie is supposedly being “impersonated” on here and yet he isn't even kicking up a stink. Which he does at the drop of a hat.

    So who is who?

Note the lack of follow up by Keith York. No comments removed. No indignation. Especially after he swung in against my comment to Mendocinovino, but quiet now in addressing Mendocinovino's supposed impersonation.

Mendocinovino = Stevie? Seems so as he is the only other person to have this happen.

Because if someone has found a way to fool the system in creating logins then you have to wonder why they only chose to impersonate Keith York who hardly ever comments and Stevie who seems uncharacteristically quiet about the matter.

    And suddenly they all disappear.

    Too all concerned.
I am a teacher of psychology at a school that will remain anonymous.
We have been studying Cyber Bullying this term and so we opened accounts on this site as an experiment. Various students took turns in commenting on articles to see how long it took before the Bullying started. It has been an interesting case study. Unfortunately one of the students forgot who he was supposed to be and so obviously we have had to end the experiment.

What we have found though in this short time is that Bullying happens extremely quickly and by seemingly average people. This is very disheartening. But it will give us valuable information on how to combat this in the future.

So apology's for using you in our anti social experiment.

    mendocinovino
Or whatever name you wish to use.

I find your post interesting for two reasons.

The first is why you chose this thread to reply to. It was on this thread that you used the wrong login when replying.
    http://en.mercopress.com/2014/05/13/argentina-satisfied-with-chile-s-renewed-support-for-the-malvinas-cause#comment327411

And yet it was in this thread where “Stevie” was “impersonated”. You can only do that if you ARE Stevie.

I see you don't deny this. So how long has theirs “experiment” been going on? Because both Stevie and Keith York predate the Mendocinovino login.

The second interesting point is that if what you say is true then I demand that you name the school you represent. If you are indeed conducting “psychological experiments” then your school will have a code of ethics and an ethics oversight committee.

I wish to formally lodge a complaint with your ethics committee. Which is my right as a participant in your experiment.

As a teacher of psychology, it would be unconscionable of you to deny my right. As your students supposedly have access to this site then I suggest one of them post the information. Statistically speaking at least one of them will have the morals to do so.

Anyway thank you for admitting that these three posters are nothing more than students from a school:

    To the above.
Please do not mistake my reliance on spell check and a misspelled word as anything other than that.
The students chose the name of the experiment and “Anti” was included because bullying is very anti social. Hence this was their “Anti” social experiment. I thought it was a good play on words as it were.
I understand your need to refute and deny. I personally am not offended. If this helps you then that is perfectly fine. Picking apart every word will not however change the truth of what has happened here and that is what you in particular need to deal with.

This actually highlights the success of the experiment, even though it was prematurely cut short. We had planned another month.

All accounts used will of course be deleted.

No offense was intended. “Apologies” if you took any.

    Best regards to all involved.

I replied before seeing your post Anglotino.
I replied on this thread because I thought it would get the most viewings and belay any further doubts. The initial proposal was over a year ago. A colleague suggested this site as he was already registered and had found it interesting. We used his unused account first. We opened another in preparation and then added others Ad Hoc when needed.
You are quite right, we deliberated a long time with the ethics committee. In accordance with our policy, research involving human participants or personal data should not begin until the proper ethical review has taken place and approval given. Due to the potentially very real violent repercussions it was agreed that because information exchange could not be fully and completely controlled everything was to be anonymous. I am sure you can understand that. Only students following a career path involving this subject with the mental maturity were included. Parents took an active roll as well as the committee and myself.
To give you the background information we had a very sad incident involving a student taking their life. 6 months later we noticed some student using this as a weapon. We set about confronting the “elephant in the room” with a zero tolerance policy. To further understand the problem someone suggested this idea. It was agreed that it could be beneficial in many ways.
There were 8 students sharing profiles. We asked them to be neutral. But if they felt attacked and bullied they were to respond in various ways. Confrontational, apologetic, nonchalant for example. This was not always successful given the nature of the experiment and the students themselves found it difficult to “bite their tongue”.
I am sorry you feel the need to make a complaint. I will forward it on. But given the fact that this site is essentially anonymous then your rights to have our data is superseded by our need to protect our students due to the reasons outlined above.

That was a nice try, however I demand to be able to communicate directly with your ethics committee.

If you were involved in research as you stated then you would know that you have no reason to remain silent on this matter after your “experiment” has finished.

I find it highly farcical that you believe you can “forward it on”. As for anonymity, that is not true for all posters on this site. You do not have the right to decide whether we believe our anonymity has been breached or not. I hereby state that I believe my anonymity has been breached and I have been subjected to unethical psychological testing against my will.

If that scream lawsuit then I don't know what does.

I only using your own silly story against you. I know of no ethics committee or any school that would conduct this sort of thing. It was a nice fantasy you used to cover it up. But it isn't really working.

Sorry critical thinking and all that crap that obviously have no idea about.

It is funny because STEVIE is denying any involvement in this. If the “experiment” is over then why is he continuing to post. Surely you would ethically now stop commenting on this site.

    Will you post the results?
Remember to change the name to “Anglolatino”. Mercopress keeps spelling it wrong.

As the person conducting the experiment, you are not in a position to adjudicate on whether my anonymity has been breached.

Your story is full of more holes than Stevie's.

What I find interesting is that “Keith York” who was obviously part of this experiment clearly was confused by his unknown reply. Which means that you didn't have very close oversight of this “experiment” and yet feel you are competent enough to convey concerns.

I will give you full marks for your creativity. But sorry it is totally unbelievable.

Anyway you have explained yourself now, so there is now no need for any of the logins you used to continue posting on here.

Actually there is not even any need for you to reply to this. Your voice is now silenced in this website I guess.

    Mine's not.

    @107 Mendocinovino

I don't expect a reply or anything, but I would be interested if your 'experiment' included a 'license to troll'. My first encounter with your ID, in hindsight, is completely at adds with your now far more deliberate and measured prose.

I'm all for research into bullying, in cyberspace or otherwise, but I don't enjoy being manipulated and If that original comment WAS NOT what you truly believed, I can only see it as being deliberately provocative.

    And not very ethical IMHO.

I love this line “ and that is what you in particular need to deal with.” from the post @112. Have you ever heard a scientist tell his 'subject group' such a thing? Beyond ridiculous! No one ever asked for his opinion.

Not that any of this matters as it the most obvious load of bullshit ever to be posted.

He is a 'busted flush' and now attempting and failing to wriggle off the hook like a little worm. A proven homophobic, misogunistic fraud and no a liar to boot! I enjoyed helping expose him.
Anyway, now that this so-called 'research' is over we should hear no more from him, right?
(although I already have my suspicions about his new persona/screen-name... more on that later!)

I'd agree with the substance of your post if the tone of HIS various posts weren't so wildly divergent. It's all rather baffling to yours truly...

    Okay it's like this.
mendocinovino was never 'real'. He was a sock puppet invented by another poster in order to start fights, derail threads and insult people. When caught out his 'puppet master' switched the 'persona' of the puppet to this fake scientist one in order to cover his tracks but this failed too.
Keith York was also a puppet of the same master who got caught in the crossfire when Mendacious Sock was rumbled.
It is the puppet master whose tones are wildly divergent not mendo 1, mendo2 nor Keith York.

    I hope that helps?

    Ahhh... the intrigue!

Just to reiterate. Our results will not be publish on this website.

The denials we were expecting. However, what is surprising is level of complicit posters trying to defend the bullies even now. On a personal level this concerns me, and disappoints me a great deal. There are obviously larger social problems at work here. Web sites such as these provide a possible outlet for these individuals but I am concerned they could actually manifest themselves more. Worthy of more study. I am not a scientist as someone said incorrectly although I do adhere to the scientist-practitioner framework. As such helping students, families, and schools reach their goals is my main concern. In this case, the healing process, understanding and closure.
I regret if some posters are disappointed. Many of the students genuinely enjoyed the non confrontational conversations.

Why do you feel this constant need to try to explain yourself?

It is highly illogical, if what you say is correct. As a teacher of psychology you would know this.

You can stop explaining yourself now and leave.

    To everyone else:
What I find funny is that Stevie and A_Voice were also subject to having their accounts “impersonated” just like Keith York.

And both of them don't seem that upset by it.

It makes you wonder who is who. After all, this “impersonation” has been limited to just them and no one else.

Mendocinovino would like us to concentrate just on Keith York and forget the others. Seems to be working at the moment.

I'm not a native speaker of the language, but don't those of you who are find that the quality of English of these people (this person?) varies day to day? Linguistic advisers sometimes unavailable?

    @138
If you are refering to Brasiliero, then yes. It is very obvious to a native English speaker that more than one person has access to that account.

If you are refering to the puppet master (and we know who you are) of Mendo 1, Mendo 2 and Keith York? Then that is a case of a non-native but highly proficient English speaker losing control of the diferent personalities s/he has invented. Oh, and getting angry and upset because the desire to spit bile overtakes their rationality.

(I realise I have just fed the ego of the troll by even discussing them, but you asked!)

    Peace!

Brasileiro is not brazilian. I've talked to him in portuguese once and his grammar sucks.

I have no idea who “Brasiliero” is, but I'm pretty sure there is more than one. Or he has a serious substance-abuse problem.

Wouldn't surprise me if at least one of them is not a portuguese-speaker!

    hmmm...
Sometimes erudite, other times barely coherent, and that fucker that always posts stoopid you-tube links (I don't click anymore).
Often amusing, inadvertently perhaps, but mostly a waste of time.

    @135 Mendocinovino

The first comment of yours I read, and to which I responded was:
( April 20 ) “...Mandela was a terrorist. Terrorist are cowards and need to be shot. He made good I grant you but he was still scum!”

Are statements such as the above congruent with your stated mission of facilitating ...“the healing process, understanding and closure...”?

And you want to claim the moral high ground?

Anglotino. This is not a “constant need to explain myself” (ourselves) It is simply being polite and attempting to belay any doubts by answering genuine questions although this was not intended to be a Q & A session. There is nothing illogical about learning and understanding. Your attitude is very combative and underscores that this experiment was conducted in the right place.
heisenbergcontext. They do actually. The students have had a rough time of it. They have a low tolerance for unsolicited violence towards others. They have been studying Terrorism and Nationalism this term. The comments could just as easily been made against a number of historical figures (Che Guevara, Churchill for example). Spirits run high and they were told to tone it down. We do not control what they say only try to help them stay on course and be objective. Not as you can tell, an easy thing. Letting feelings out is a good step forward it is how we deal with those feelings afterwards. Something which posters on here clearly need help in doing so.
I hope this has been a help. I think I can retire this account now if there are no more sensible questions.
