UN praises Mujica's initiative to provide home for Syrian orphanded children
The United Nations' refugee commission expressed gratitude that Uruguay is preparing to provide a new home for 100 children orphaned by Syria's civil war. Senior regional UNHCR official Michelle Alfaro said there are more than 2 million Syrian refugees in all, and Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan can't handle them all, so the agency hopes to relocate 30,000 this year. Disclaimer & comment rulesWhere ever these children are given homes throughout the world, I hope the UN takes the appropriate measures to ensure the prospective parents are properly vetted. It would be a travesty for these children to have lived through one hell to wind up living in another.

May 26th, 2014 - 11:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0In the refugee camps in Jordan, Turkey and the Lebanon, the children have no future whatsoever. They are surrounded by misery. Here they are in a new and clean environment, far away from the bombs, they can learn spanish and english, and just go to school. They can receive psychological help, although their traumas can never be resolved completely. What can there be against helping these children out of their hell in Syria? Yes, help poor and traumatised Uruguyan children as well. Why haven't we done so already? But we cannot say that we are willing to help these refugee kids only after every UY child has been transformed in a happy and carefree child.

If he bothered to think about it, he would see that the 6.10575e – 5 percent in Germany is only just about twice the 3.04292e – 5 percent of what Uruguay is to take.
Greater London would have to take 300 children to match what Uruguay is doing.

Argieland can't “inherit” from spain. Not legal. and all its other bases are either not legal or lies or both. Argieland sends 60,000 troops to invade and occupy a British territory with 1,500 occupants. It ignores a UN Security Council resolution that tells it to get off the Islands. It does not treat British troops with the respect they deserve. It commits war crimes. It is BEATEN. 11,313 prisoners. That argieland didn't want back. International LAW says that's the end of it. Argieland spent about 10 years trying to trick the Islanders and Britain by appearing friendly and co-operative. Finally showed true colours. Economic warfare. Lies. Lying to anyone to get support. Lying to the UN. An approach it continues today. And it's spread its lies around latam and demanded support. And that support has been given because most latam countries are stupid.

I don't mind paying for 200 people to escape this torture, what I object to is paying for thousands of SELF INFLICTED “poor” via the Social Inclusion Programme.
