    I used to be quite a fan of Sendic and indeed predicted some months ago that Vasquez/Sendic would be the Frentes ticket for the upcoming elections.
    But as president of the state oil company ANCAP, this monopoly posted losses of USD 140 million last year according to oficial figures. It is not clear whether all the dud cheques for fuel that PLUNA foisted on ANCAP are included in these stats.
    So....?

    I would have put money on ANCAP failing to make a profit.

    They have been serially mis-managed by government stooges and nobody understands the term “the customer's pay our wages”.

    I have boycotted these idiots for two years: they couldn't manage a piss-up in a brewery.
