The way Brazil are playing, they wouldn't be receiving the cup so she wouldn't want to hand it to someone else (France or Holland on form) whilst there are protests outside.
Also she's be standing 3 ft taller than Sepp Blatter

Biting again. He clearly bit an Italian player and the ref. did nothing. Clear bite mark on Chiellini's shoulder. Clear video evidence of Suarez biting him. Did Suarez think we couldn't see him? Strike 3, he should be out of the World Cup and a long, long ban from football altogether.

The biting is just so weird. Gutter behaviour.

He'll get a 5 match ban, two more than Zidane.
A few jokes doing the rounds:
Just like there are water breaks...maybe snack time to be introduced for Suarez.
Give him some credit, you must applaud his appetite for the game.
He didn't like the local food so decided to go for an Italian.

@33 I heard a few of the jokes “He just wanted a pizza the action” etc.

He will get more than a 5 match ban as this is his third offence. He already had a 7 match ban for the first offence, a 10 match ban for his second offence, so why would they just give a 5 match ban for a third offence. The media are talking about a 24 week ban at best or a two year ban at worst.

    @34
Here's a worse one.....he was told he was playing Eataly.

Regarding his bans, those 7 and 10 match bans were for games in the domestic leagues where they play every week. It's a different ruling for the international games. He should get a long long ban but FIFA will probably base it on his international disciplinary record. Zidane got 3 matches for his headbutt so I'm guessing 5 or 6 for Hanibal. Let's see what Sepp Biter, sorry, Blatter says:)

@35 We may have unleashed a monster with the jokes. :)

I thought FIFA bans affected domestic and international games. We shall have to wait until this evening to find out.

Uruguay are playing it down far too much 'it is something that happens' etc. Not helping their cause.

Blatter gets booed at every game he attends.

@37 I guess it does have the reputation of being a working class game. I remember one rather educated England player used to be bullied in the dressing room for reading a broadsheet. He didn't fit in. :) We tend to joke about footballers not being known for their intellect but they laugh all the way to the bank.

Suarez is an animal. He bit another player during this tournament and should be punished during this tournament.

    Exactly,
bit there appears to be no will to do so, on the part of FIFA.

It depends on if the investigation is anything like previous ones carried out by FIFA, ie a whitewash.
Adidas, which has huge influence on FIFA, may also get involved as Suarez is one of their poster boys.
When asked which team he'd like to play next, Suarez replied that Chile was a mouthwatering prospect........sorry, that's the last one!

It is rather desperate of the Uruguayan media to blame England and raise the issue of the 1966 world cup. What? That was nearly 50 years ago. They claim there is no evidence to support the claim that Suarez bit anyone but the Italian player fell onto Suarez teeth. I think is just proves it is one man team. Or one dog, given his animalistic tendencies.

More worrying is that FIFA can't make a decision on what to do. They couldn't manage agreement last night and are having another go today. Very sad.
