Disclaimer & comment rulesAgain. Argentina isn't the second largest economy in South America. Colombia is. And Colombia isn't a good fit for the BRICS thankfully. Though Argentina is a perfect fit.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 06:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0As for Argentina's status as Russia's bestie. Congratulations. You join Kazahkstan, Belarus, Syria and Venezuela.
No wonder Ukraine chose the EU.
Fancy that, the Russians buy their soya.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 08:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0Give em some money Rasputin, they will roll over onto their backs and let you tickle their belly!
and lay the groundwork for joint mutually beneficial projects in energy, including civilian nuclear technologies, machine building and military-technological cooperation.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 09:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0Funny that - Sergey Lavrov in an interview stated Like countries of the Latin American region and their union, Russia advocates for the inadmissibility of militarisation of the South Atlantic region.
On the Falklands, he stated. We support the determination of Argentina to start direct bilateral negotiations with the United Kingdom for the purposes of faster peaceful settlement of the dispute related to the Maldives. Doh!

So CFK will thank Russia for its support of their claim of the Falkland's,
Jun 30th, 2014 - 12:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0and they will in return support Russia shoulder to shoulder against Britain,
BUT but, Putin did not say such a thing, mmmmm
irrelevant purely by going to Argentina he will be put on a peddle stool as another of CFK toys to play with,
she will play with him, then dump him, like all her other xxxxxs ....lolol.
Difference is (and she might not realise it) the Russians will expect there payments and wont walk away without them :-)

Jun 30th, 2014 - 01:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think someone is butt-hurt that an ex girlfriend (boyfriend), chose his former best friend.
Must be bizarre to you that Argentina finds RUSSIA more humanitarian and benevolent than EUia and NorthAmia (and they are).

Jun 30th, 2014 - 03:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I would be very careful who you go to bed with.

Jun 30th, 2014 - 03:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0”Argentina finds RUSSIA more humanitarian and benevolent than EUia and NorthAmia (and they are).”
Russia, more humanitarian and benevolent than the west?
The time you are spending on this website and its posts is really twisting up the wiring in your head. No kidding.
Your life would be much happier if you spent all this time doing something else.
Just to remind the Argentines, the Chinese President was in the UK earlier in the month and signed a 14 billion pound trade deal, will Russia be doing the same with Argentina? I think not. Of course they will support you on the Falklands, they have been kicked out if the G8 and their land grab in Crimea has not been recognised by the Western powers.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 03:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It's just an excercise in telling each other what they want to hear and an excuse for CFK to take in more Botox.
Argentinas key partners:-

Bahahahaha!
Putin is not as silly, as CFK thinks he is,
Jun 30th, 2014 - 06:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0to him, you are a means to an end.
your own..lol
For hypocritical, self serving reasons Argentina cowardly abstained from a UN vote condeming the nature of the referendum and annexation of the Crimea: Russia just had to spout a few banal words about 'Malvinas peace and dialogue' and KFCTimerman were put in a box. Simple, job done.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 07:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The next time they bleat on about the Chagos islanders I would hope this fact is rammed back down their throats - through the laughter.
now that Putin makes a powerful friend.....in times of need..ummmmm
Jul 01st, 2014 - 12:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0is there any country (apart from The UK) that supports the Malvinas/Falklands????
Putin was once a friend of Ukraine.
Jul 01st, 2014 - 03:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Look how well that turned out.
No one loses except Argentina.
No one gains except Russia.
It really doesn't affect anyone, especially the UK. Unsure why some simpletons on here think it does.
@6
Jul 01st, 2014 - 06:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0The country that vetoed any sort of intervention in Syria costing the lives of 500,000 people and by allowing this giving the green light for the Syrian regime to gas it's own people?
The same country that wishes to destabilise Ukraine into submission because it can't have a puppet dictator that answers to Moscow. Ergo a country with colonist ambitions to bring back the ussr?
Very humanitarian
I can see why your mentalities are so so similar.
Birds of a feather, Brics has a common thread - They are all massively corrupt to the Core. The only one missing (but not for long) is the most corrupt
Jul 01st, 2014 - 07:37 am - Link - Report abuse 0@6. More accurately, Russia is well-known for every conceivable government-perpetrated or inspired crime. Genocide, murder, invasion, occupation, rape, robbery, torture, lies. Done it all. So has argieland. Long past time argieland is fully recognised for what it is. Rogue. Amoral. Immoral. Although the UN is fairly pointless these days, argieland should nevertheless be ejected. It should also be ejected from every other international organisation where it might gain a benefit. It should also be made pariah. A place that no-one responsible will trade with or even travel to. And no-fly, no-sail zones. Nothing flies in, out or above argieland. Nothing sails in, out or around argieland. To be on the safe side, regular live depth bomb exercises.
Jul 01st, 2014 - 12:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@13. The West started beefing up its sanctions and Putin ran. Now there's some traitors in eastern Ukraine begging Putin to send in peacekeeping troops. Isn't that what Putin did in Crimea? Not so much peacekeeping as keeping a piece. Several prongs to the Western approach. Russia out of G8. Can we look forward to the Group of 77 plus China and Russia? Combat aircraft where appropriate. Warships where appropriate. Troops on exercises. Putin is not so powerful. On the one hand, the West can hamstring Putin economically. On the other hand, if you start adding up Western armed forces, Putin is dead meat. Russian armed forces amount to 766,000 personnel. United States armed forces amount to 1,369,532 personnel. That's nearly double. Start adding in other Western forces. UK - 205,850. France - 222, 215. Germany - 182,620. Or there's another way. NATO has 28 members. Using an average, couldn't that come out to around 7 million personnel? NATO tends to use broadly similar equipment. And ammunition is common. No, Putin isn't powerful. Realistically, he's like a highwayman. Frightening for little people. But if the West mobilises...! No repeat of what happened to the French and Germans. Leapfrog airborne advance!
