Mercosur leaders called for dialogue with the Pacific Alliance over its perception that Mercosur is becoming an obstacle to integration and wider growth in the region. Uruguayan Vice-President Danilo Astori seemingly sparked the debate a few weeks ago when he said that “Mercosur mustn’t be a terminal station,” calling for formal trade deals with the Pacific Alliance. Jul 01st, 2014 - 11:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0That's because of the mañana out look of Mercosur. I'm just surprised that it's taken until now for them to heed your wise words.
Argentina must be excluded though, as its squealing behaviour will be like a lead weight on the PA co treaty.
Chalk and cheese.

Nuff said!
Mercosur members are kinda slow…...
Jul 01st, 2014 - 03:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The PA should avoid mercosur as it's a plague. It (mercosur) has clearly demonstrated that its main concern is political dominance. One only has to look at two instances. First, Paraguay. What did the internal affairs of Paraguay have to do with a trade organisation? Then there's the EU. That is real danger. The likelihood of argieland complying properly with any agreement is very small. Will there be a power struggle? Possibly between argieland and Germany. The problem for the UK is that it only ever wanted a trade organisation. Had it chosen, it could have led a political entity. A new British Empire. As has been proven, in different ways, the two major members of the EU are Germany and the UK. France has turned out to be just a wannabe. Even if they remain solvent, all the others are minor players. The UK should take the time to create agreements with the PA and then steer it away from mercosur. Argieland wants power. It must be opposed.

Yes, after 120 minutes Argentina finally managed a goal. It could not have been more close. A good game but Argentina were not outstanding.
