Absolutely amazing that an entire government just doesn't get it.

The only people affected by this are Argentineans. Seems Argentina's decline isn't anywhere near finished. And I don't really think the next government will be much different.

These Assholes Funds are desperate. . This time it backfired.

Argentina must establish an ironclad clause in its Constitution forbidding the payment of any amount that did not adhere to debt restructuring.

And let the United States government twist the tail of the nut. Without remembering that any act of spoliation of the heritage of the Argentine nation will be seen throughout South America and the BRICS as an act of aggression capable of proportional retaliation.

This “might” work for argieland in the short term. But not in the long. Anybody want to buy some bonds issued under argie law? No doubt “british bumbler” will leap on this and invest even more of granny's money. However, responsible bond markets may refuse to even list such useless bits of paper. Argieland has spent 12 years fighting against complying with “the” law. Imagine the fun as people realise that the argie “government” can change “the rules” at a moment's notice. Argieland probably couldn't impose 95% argie tax on bonds being paid through New York. But it could on those being paid through Buenos Aires. Considering the “haircut” that bondholders were literally forced to accept in 2005 and 2010, or get nothing, it'll be perfect for argies. Expecting AR10,000, get AR500. How much extra do you lose trying to change argie pesos into money? Crooks from beginning to “end”. But who will have the last laugh? As mentioned before, what happens to the US$593 million in the Bank of New York Mellon? Judge Griesa directs it be paid to NML and Aurelius. Argieland has no title to that money. It's been “paid”, right?

    KLEPTOCRACY:
( “ or rule by thieves ”) is a form of political and government corruption where the government exists to increase the personal wealth and political power of its officials and the ruling class at the expense of the wider population, often with pretense of honest service.

This type of government corruption is often achieved by the embezzlement of state funds.

Kleptocrat Regimes are generally associated with corrupt forms of authoritarian governments, particularly dictatorships, oligarchies, military juntas, or some other forms of autocratic and nepotist government in which no outside oversight is possible, due to the ability of the kleptocrat(s) to personally control both the supply of public funds and the means of determining their disbursal.

No outside oversight is possible. Sound familiar ?

I cannot imagine that this bunch of crooks “don't get it”. More like “they aren't going to do it”, so there!

From the total apathy of the public it seems to the crooks they will get away with it but a little note to TMBOA: “SINGER is coming to get you”.

    Aaaahhh!

#5 is correct and CFK does not get it

They flout the laws, they pay the 93% bond holders their money, then the Bank Ny must release the funds to the holdouts, to the value that is owed, to ensure the rulling that everyone is paid.

The only thing is, CFK may be playing a sneaky game. If she has planned this, then the US judge and the bank pays the holdouts, not Argentina, therefore not qualified under RUFUS for enhanced payments as its been taken.

Plus CFK will get to bleat about stolen funds for years to take peoples minds off the stolen funds in her vaults.

She gets the moral high ground by saying they stood against the US and won, holdouts get their money.

Id lay money on it, but not in Argentina of course, none of my money is going near there, except to the falklands, as thats a stable modern society

As with nearly all of the K plans it amounts to kicking the can down the road with no long term planning.

Outlaw conjures up kind of a romaticism but rotting roadkill is in reality just a sad, serial deadbeat without the courage necessary to actually do anything of an active nature - INCLUDING ARMED ROBBERY!

When the gunboats pull up - figurative or literal - rotting roadkill will soil its self once again and submit to the yoke which IT PLACED AROUND ITS NECK!

@4. Wouldn't a better plan for Argentina be to not pay anyone at all. How is this plan any better for Argentina than not paying anyone at all. It still doesn't give them access to capital markets, plus they have to give up some of their reserves. They might as well keep their reserves.

Someone is lashing out from sheer, utter impotence.

Aurelius, get some Viagra, it may at least help you with your other “impotence”. Better 50% of something than nothing at all, right?

    Oh wait...

    hahahaha.

    Brazzo@4..“These Assholes Funds are desperate”....
If you weren't so stupid, you'd be hilarious. If anyone is desperate, it's CFK. She thinks she can change the rules like she changes her pink panties.... And if you look close enough you can probably see her ass twitching, too. Everything she does, just makes the hole a bit deeper.

    @20 Chicureo,
I have no idea how you managed to find any resemblance between me and that asshole 4n Troll that appears on #14....call me any f*cking name you want, but pls don't insult me. And BTW, yr @20 makes no sense...you may have referred to the wrong post, because believe you me, I am no hater of women....now, if you are referring to CFK, and/or to Dilma, you need to give me a break....while CFK can probably still give a good BJ, I wouldn't touch fat-ass Dilma with a barge pole...just looking at her makes me want to puke. But if you like her, please invite her to Chile...and by all means, keep her.
@21, ChrisR, thanks for stating what should be obvious to anyone with even half-a-brain.
