Griesa leaves Argentina 'in contempt' ledge; warns any change of jurisdiction was 'lawless'
US District Judge Thomas Griesa declared on Thursday that an Argentine plan to change the 'jurisdiction' of restructured foreign debt was illegal, while resisting holdout investors' demands that Argentina be held in contempt of court for attempting to change the site of payment to Buenos Aires. @2 & 4. Actually, real British people tend to be pretty keen on law, order and justice. The law on this matter is quite clear, as has been demonstrated and explained many times. Making argieland pay is only natural justice. As for order. Well, a competent judge, in a competent court in the competent jurisdiction has made an order.

Then note that “The judge further added that any entity that aids Argentina in its efforts to move jurisdiction would also be in violation of his sentence.” You and “granny” are entities. You know how the current UK-US extradition law works. The US only has to show “reasonable suspicion”. Then the police turn up and away you go to the States.
I do think Judge Griesa is being remarkably patient. But let's all wonder who knows more about the law, Capitanich or Judge Griesa!

Ok this is for all you other Anglo's ........have you ever used a phrase like .....“robber barron”? Does it not sound like from someone who has English as a Second Language (ESL)? The Argentine people THIS TIME unlike other times are doing nothing because to us it seems the entire world from WTO, to UN, to EU, to USA, to MERCOSUR, to China, are acting against us, and as a result we will go down with the ship if necessary.
