    Good news for the Falklands in getting rid of the corrupt Spanish company Pescanova.

    Good luck to them with TMBOA and the shrimp business. All their eggs in one cesspit, oh sorry, basket!

    @1 Lunatic

    Fed up with the Scots then eh?

    No doubt you are drinking yourself silly as usual or is there another reason you post bollocks?

    Nice to see your final paragraph was in gibberish.

    There'll be plenty of potential purchasers some of whom, I would imagine, would be local Falkland Islands businesses. From what I've read about the highly celebrated Falklands fishery it required external partners (with money and knowledge) when it all started back in the 80s but I would imagine that many of those local businesses have lots of their own resources, contacts and know how these days.

    A good opportunity.

    Yes, several of the pro-Argentina posters on here seemed to be praying for a YES vote a few months ago but I didn't see much from them in the final build up. They seemed to think that a YES would've been very symbolic with regards the Falklands argument. I wasn't sure why but it's all academic now anyway because the fat lady has sung.

    @ 9 Briton

    TMBOA wanted Fish-face to agree with “the rest of the world” that the argies own the Malvinas.

    Well we don't care about that claim, just as long as they leave the Falklands alone.

    Salmond is a turd...but even he knows, and has stated that the Falklands are British and the very principle of self-determination exercised in Scotland is the same as in the Falklands.

    Think likes the 1.6m losers in Scotland and probably the 3 (three) losers in the Falklands.

    I like 55% democratic winners in Scotland and the 99.8% democratic winners in the Falklands.

    I like democracy, think likes losers....

    I am a democrat, think is a loser.

    It's only logics and common sense. Spain supports Argentina's sovereignty over the Malvinas, South Georgias and Sandwich. It seems that Spain has finally come to terms with its own position. Great news.

    @13 Really, I can see why Argentina thinks it may have a claim to the Falklands based on some long ago (wrongly) inherited claim and a few months of occupation, but I would love to know how you think you have a right to SG and the Sandwich Islands, or is it just a case of 'we want them', or migrating birds?, migrating squid? Proximity maybe, anything within the South Atlantic is Argentinian?

    @13 Alejomartinez

    So all of Spain's territories that are closer to other countries than to Spain are no longer Spanish? (i.e.Ceuta and Mellila).

    That according to you is logical as these territories are attached to Morrocco, not Spain.

    Hopefully Spain can come to terms with it's position and offer Catalonia a referendum. That is logical and common sense as the people that live there want one-Spain's position is not logical-the fact is, they are scared of losing Catalonia but are too stupid to persuade Catalonia of the advantages (if there are any) of remaining with Spain.

    That, according to you is logic and common sense.

    Argentina is nowhere near South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands, but if that is an example of your common sense, why does Argentina not claim Tristan da Cunha, St Helena and Ascension Island?

    So Cuba now belongs to the USA? according to your logic and common sense.

    The Faroe Islands now belong to the UK do they? They are nearer to the UK than the Falkland island are to Argentina. According to your logic and common sense.

    Sri Lanka must according to your 'logic' belong to India? According to your logic and common sense.

    Why does Hawaii belong to the USA when the USA is not the nearest landmass, remembering Hawaii still has the Union Jack on it's flag??

    Don't worry, the Spanish here have made an uncommon sense decision because Argentina cannot run its fisheries/conservation as well as the Falkland Islanders run their zone and someone else will buy Falklands fish-so Pescanova will lose financially and the Islanders will not .

    Your common sense and logic might be regarded by some posters here as dementia.
