    The political use of Petrobras - in that the government has obliged the company to hold down the price of fuel, in order to favour their image - is the cause of the company's financial problems and the reason why its shares are not worth much more than an ass wipe.
    To be honest, I'm going to love seeing the price of fuel go through the roof, and screw all the poor idiots who support DumboAss Dilma. I can't wait to see them squirming when they have to fill the tanks of their cars.....serves them bloody right. And, the increase will have a domino effect, far more perverse than just the price of gas at the pump - it will increase the price of public transport (bus fares), trucking costs, grocery bills, and everything that depends on fuel. That will impact the cost of living ...and who will be hardest hit ? the numbnuts who voted for Dilma, just like the moron posting at @1.
    And at the same time, the increase in revenue for Petrobrás should make the share value shoot up again.....as far as I'm concerned, a win-win situation.

    @4 Brazzo
    Please, by all means, throw your vote down the toilet and vote for DumboAss. That way, when you are up to your ears in sh*t, you'll only have yourself and the PT to blame.
    And just one thing, numbnuts : bike paths are for bikes, not for walking ; you must be one of those idiots I nearly ran over a few days ago....come to think of it, he looked and spoke like a stupid PeTista...

    Brazil aspires to being a world player. That won't happen under Dilma. A foundation has to be laid and she isn't laying it.

    If Brazil votes for Dilma then it will stay in the same category as India and not get any closer to someone like China.

    Brazzo pizil. When assholes were handed out by the man above you missed out, hence you are so full of shit coz you have no outlet. There is no growth in Brazil, agriculture about the only industry doing well, inflation will go crazy next year, you won't be able to buy uma coxinha on your wage...every multinational will sell their products for top dollar overseas, if an idiot like you wants that product in Brazil you'll have to pay that international price, hence get ready to pay lots more for your food, if Brazil trys shit aka Argentina to control prices then welcome to your trip to Argentina/Venezuela misery. You are a complete idiot, sooner or later socialism populism will fail, if you don't compete you die. Hope you have children because your thinking gives them completely no future and I hope you feel proud of yourself.

    2 - golfcronie:

    brazilians do, as well as every south american. And, as a matter of fact, you, brits, or kelpers, should care about it, since we are so close. Actually, you do not seem to realize that THE WORLD does not give a damn about UK: it only keeps EXISTING because the US wants to, and that is because UK gave up of its sovereignity, in so many ways - you may not have noticed, but the British Empire is gone, long ago. Too bad scottsmen got so afraid of their own future: maybe the Falklands could be a scottish territory by now.

    You said it...Brazil needs to lay a solid foundation on which to build. Up to now, the general political culture dictates that nothing be done for the people until the situation becomes untenable....and even then, when that happens, the government usually improvises just enough to push the problem to somewhere in the future....as they say here, “empurrar com a barriga” , or “push it with your belly”...

    @2. Yes. “golfcronie” was slightly inaccurate. He should have asked whether anyone of relevance gives a shit about Brazil. Let's try a little comparison. In 2012 London hosted the Summer Olympic Games. There were more than 10,000 competitors. More than 7 million tickets were sold. The UK hosted the event faultlessly. In 2014, Brazil hosted the FIFA World Cup. 32 teams. Shall we say 640 competitors? 3,429,873 attendees. A fifteenth of the competitors. Half the attendance. Seems like the UK is so much better. No protests about hosting the Games. No breaches into venues. No construction collapses. How strange that Brazil managed a national celebration when it heard that it was better than Britain by 0.1%. And what did Britain do when it took its place back? Nothing. Just an everyday thing. Without anything from the US, Britain is building TWO 70,000 ton aircraft carriers. At the same time, it's continuing to construct Astute-class submarines and Type 45 destroyers. And the comparable Brazilian activity is what? The UK economy is growing faster than the Brazilian economy. So much so that the British economy is reckoned to be better than ANYONE else's. At the same time, Britain's inflation is at 1.5%. Brazils's is at 6.51%. Incidentally, the UK has a population that is less than 32% of Brazil's. The bottom line is that the UK is sooo much better. By the way, how's your murder rate? Still the highest in the world? Incidentally, we know what percentage of the world cares about us. And we don't care. What percentage of the world cares about Brazil? Don't be dumb. No-one. Just take a look at how your 'pal' argieland cares, and screws your trade. You're really so dumb. Latin-american solidarity? Right? Latin-american brain death. When CFK reaches out to shake Dilma's hand, watch for the knife in the other hand. CFK cares nothing for anyone except herself. You'll learn.

    Let's talk about the number of violent deaths in Brazil per 100,000.
    Let's talk about the number of construction workers that die in the building of World Cup Stadia in Brazil.
    Let's talk about the number of women that die during child birth in Brazil.

    Anyone?

    Why are people queuing up to immigrate into the UK?
    Obviously they don't give a shit?
    Haha haha!

    @10 Conqueror
    I have lived in Brazil most of my life, and for 50 years have been hearing the slogan “Brazil, country of the future”.....unfortunately, it really seems that way. I'm perfectly aware of the fact that it makes no sense to try to compare Brazil to Britain, they are on different scales in every single aspect. While I lambast the ignorant Brazzos for being shortsighted, I do it mainly because I feel that Brazil could be a damned sight better off if the governments were serious and actually thought about the people every now and again, instead of just scheming how to rob their next billion. I live in São Paulo, and believe - as so do many people in the three States south of Sao Paulo - that it would be a great move to secede from the rest of Brazil, which is where the main problems lie. São Paulo tried to secede in 1932 and failed, but on its own, and not having to support the lazy buggers in the north and northeast, it could be a paradise.
    @11 Ilsen
    As long as the f*cking politicians, especially those of the PT, prefer to ignore reality and fill their pockets, Brazil will continue t be the holder of many undesirable records. It's pretty obvious that the “Brasileiro's” of this forum are as ignorant as they come, and it is useless trying to convinve them they're full o' sh*t, so you come to the conclusion you've got to take of yourself , your family and friends, and f*ck the rest !
