Uruguay's general elections next Sunday are not only a neck-to-neck dispute between the two main presidential candidates, (unpredictable only six months ago), but are also revealing that the ruling coalition has lost its dominant allure over new voters, according to pollsters. Read full article

Oct 20th, 2014 - 01:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Do you just whistle when you want Polly to turn up? You have him awfully well trained.
Ps. This Pou chap sounds a bit better than the other lot. Wonder what he will be like in office?

Oct 20th, 2014 - 05:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I know, but it's the power of mental telepathy, ilsen. The only component of that that poor old POLLY has, is he is mental. :o)
Have you noticed he has completely misunderstood my post @ 1?
He clearly thinks that GO, GO, POU, is telling POU to GO AWAY! Ha, ha, ha.
You couldn't make this up if you tried. No wonder TDC is fucked up with morons like this in the place.
@4 hahahahaha!

Polly has told Isolde that she shouldn't read my posts, and now says you are not allowed an opinion on the country you reside and pay taxes in. Apparently I know nothing because I am posting from London. Will I suddenly know everything as soon as I arrive back in Venezuela?
Prince Polly - Ruler of the Internet!
arf! arf!
utterly deluded!
Now where were we? Oh yes, this Pou chap. Any good? Getting a lot of support from the young 'uns is he? Do enough people want a change from the old Commie ex-terrorist? Whadya reckon?
@ 5 ilsen
Oct 20th, 2014 - 06:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You will be one brave guy if you DO go back to Venezuela.
POU is the favourite of all my friends. Don't forget that my friends encompass all the age ranges across the voting spectrum and they are ALL fed up with 'No Money Pepe'.
Don't forget the old joke about voting ABB: anybody but Blair, now it's ABV (anybody but Vasquez)!
Anyway all I can do is hope, it will be at least another three years before I can even 'ask' if I can have a passport even though I cannot APPLY for a passport.
I am told I will be INVITED to have a passport as long as I keep on the straight and narrow!
That might be hard. :o)
@6
Oct 20th, 2014 - 07:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Gotta go. Family concerns mainly, and tieing up a few loose-ends business wise, if possible. Other concerns are moth-balled for the forseeable future...
:-[
For one of my family in VZLA, it has taken 14 months just to renew a 10-year Passport, not even a new application!
Hope it is better there. I trust you will be keeping dual-nationality?
It is interesting to hear about Uruguay, hasn't really been much on my radar. My life/work/academic/travel experience is mainly with VNZLA, Chile, Columbia and Argentina - with regards to Lat Am that is.
All the best re: passport

he was arrested in venezuela, chile, colombia (columbia? lol) and argentina.
... and soon to be arrested by the Ruler of The Internet- Prince Polly-The Naked Em[poor]or, because my smartphone has an auto-correct habit?
Oct 20th, 2014 - 08:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Is that it? Is that all you have? The converstion didn't even concern you. Your desperation to be acknowledged by 'anglos' is plain to see. So...
Here, have a biscuit!
Got anything useful to say? Anything witty, or intelligent, or God Forbid, an actual comment on the article pertaining?
No, thought not.
Back under the bridge for you, my little troll.
I trust you will be keeping dual-nationality?
Oct 20th, 2014 - 09:29 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The answer is:you can take the Brit out of Britain but never Britain out of the Brit
So yes.
@ 10 Good Man. Always useful I find.
Oct 20th, 2014 - 09:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0However, according to Polly you shouldn't bother, life is so much better in TDC! Apparently there has been a massive change we are all unaware of! The UK is now a Third World Country! More on that in a mo...
I just looked out on my balcony in North London and I can see the Emirates Stadium and The Shard. Walking up to Highgate Hill, as I do on a Sunday, I can get a clear view to St. Pauls! (did you know it is Sir Christopher Wren's 382nd Birthday today?) Doesen't seem very Third World to me, but I'm sure that 'expert' Polly knows best...
Talking of which; Polly, I am still awaiting a reply to this:

Dear oh dear!
Paulie do you really, really believe that the UK is a Third World Country?
Do you honestly think that is true?
If you don't believe it, why say it and look foolish. And a liar.
If you do believe it, please provide me with some peer-reviewed evidence. Evidence that is strong enough to convince the other 7 billion+ people on the planet that they are wrong.
Come on, the world awaits your revelation. Or your abject apology for being a twat.
He seems to be ignoring this, wonder why?
:-))
what a pathetic pair are you both.
Oct 21st, 2014 - 01:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0stop embarrassing yourselves and get a room.
master of the nabos:
of curse the uk is a 3rd world country, you halfwit.
the thing is you are a deluded, easy-to-be brainwashed, ignorant fool.
you guys are the closest thing to the kirchneristas.
they trust in pagina/12 and you in this 4th class newspaper.
Waiting for that evidence polly.

Oct 21st, 2014 - 05:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0”you(SIC) guys are the closest thing to the kirchneristas”
Ha, ha, ha, you know how it goes.
I think that may be your best joke yet.
So, if MP is 4th class (it's NOT a newspaper) WTF are you doing still here or is it a few steps up from being an argie?
Probably about 100 steps up I would imagine.
Looks like polly has no evidence that the UK is a Third World Country.
Oct 21st, 2014 - 06:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So he is a proven liar and/or a complete fool. Is that a step up from the people he normally hangs out with? I expect so.

Oct 22nd, 2014 - 02:27 am - Link - Report abuse 02 weeks ago you were supporting vázquez because the dead drunk had thought of declaring the war to argentina (lol)
now you are supporting pou.
my theory is that you don't have the slightest clue about uruguayan politics.
and try to be good, cause pde is an argentine city.
we always have the right to declare you persona non grata
@ 16 POLLY
Oct 22nd, 2014 - 05:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You don't remember much, do you?
I don't live in PdE, it's full of fucking argies in the season, well, not last year because they are all broke and trying to sell their houses. And not having any luck even at HALF-PRICE. :o)
Typical arrogant argie arsehole for even claiming that any area of another country belongs to TDC aka The Deep Cesspit.
GO, GOU, POU!
Typical British scum, the above poster. Smelly, nasty, and no teeth.
