In response to a possible Ebola threat situation the Falkland Islands government is focusing on prevention at this time but with good contingency plans also being laid down as a back up to a possible outbreak. Read full article
Yes Conquistador, ban all English ships and ships with the Falkland Islands aboard. That went so well last time. I wish you Falklanders would pass that ordinance. It would be actually quite funny to see how long you'd last. Remember what happened last time Mercosur did that to you. That British Government spokesman came out crying.....go ahead and ban nitwit.
The fake fucking farce is back....still pretending to be a an American fighting man......opps....I mean Air Force.
Army and Air Force is tied at the hip. Is that why you fear talking in details about bases? You've HAD to been on Eglin? Pope.....Edwards? RHEIN MAIN you did not go to the Middle East and NOT go on Rhen Main. AND I suspect you would not have been on any FOB's but you had to be on Bagram or you have never been in the middle east....perhaps it was Saudi.....right.
USAirForce- or is it arse force? Ships trade regularily between the Islands and Montevideo and have done before and since the flag ban issue - not an issue - some ships just use a different flag(FI registered vessels have a choice of 2 - or 3 if of Spanish origen) as they cross the territorial water limit into Montevideo -
One Royal Navy ship that operates in these waters makes a port call there every year as well!
What are you burbling on about?
Cargo ship has just come back direct from southern Chile as well.
It's such a shame that any contribution to your education, however well-intentioned, inevitably means raining on your parade, but I guess that's inevitable when you systematically let your glee run ahead of your knowledge.
In fact, there is no ban on English shipping anywhere in the world. In the first instance, this is because there is no such thing as English shipping, but curiously there is no ban on British shipping anywhere in the world either. It's true that Mercosur countries have banned the Falklands flag, but it's only the flag that's banned, not the actual vessel. Which means that a vessel only has to change flags and then it's business as usual.
Or in short, the flag ban is a purely symbolic measure with no practical consequence for anybody except insofar as it gets the partners concerned a minor respite from Argentine whining. But don't take my word for it. Read what Benino Belli, head of the South American department in the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has to say about it:
Personally, I think it's cruel of Brazil and the other Mercosur partners to allow Argentina to persist in the delusion of foreign support in this way. It can only prolong the world's most stupid and unfounded territorial dispute needlessly.
But I guess for the Peronists the delusion has to be maintained one way or another, and perhaps this also explains explains the curious phenomenon of brainwashed Malvinistas trying to pass themselves off as members of other nationalities, as if this somehow validated an empty, unworthy cause that nobody outside Argentina gives a flying one about.
For the Falklanders, it must be like living next door to the obnoxious neighbour, with the uncut grass and dilapidated house, who can be overheard fighting with his wife, and has a famy of rats living in the derelict car in the front garden.
TT - we were just talking about how f'kd up it is around Mildenhall..I mean everything. The one guy's car breaks down and the next day it is missing everything from being looted, to how f'kd up the traffic is. He was telling me how a 2 hour trip in US time takes about 6 in English time due to f'kd up roads. The women have rotten teeth, eek. Nice place. Dont worry about the Malvinas getting ebola, your hospitality shines. Whatll happen there is a huge ass tsunami wave and wipe the island clean. You Fucklanders will be spouting water out ur arse.
Holey moley! A car crime in England! And traffic! Surely, the Falklands must be Argentine!
And Goodness Me, that ancient cliché about English teeth is still flying in the United States Air Force. Is that one still indulged by people who've never been to England, and don't know anyone who has? That's surely unusual in the USAF, I would have thought, but less so even than a disinterested serviceman rushing to defend Argentina with the classic Argentine yah-sucks-boo-what-about-you-knee-jerk response to criticism.
You are utterly full of crap and nothing more than a lying Argentine troll. I somewhat feel sorry for you dedicating so much of your life to a lie with the aim to strip a people of their homes and freedom. That's pretty f*cking sad if you ask me.

I suppose the numbers of foreign tourists are dwindling after the video of Canadian bicyclist being robbed at gunpoint, so the young Argentinians like you are seeking other victims.

Benson what really drills the arse farce to the wall as an RG is that MOST Americans that do know the Falklands know it as that rock Argentina got it's ass waxed by the Brits way back when.
Her disdain for the Brits is blatantly obviously, either a trolled RG or a self repressed Scot angry at the voting outcome........maybe even BK if you recall him. I live in New England and you cannot get a larger footprint of Great Britain and I have yet to come across an American born in the USA who carries such animosity towards the Brits as he does.
arse farce..........did you eat at the Bagram mess? How about the PS air base? Remember you've been in all the major offensives since 1990.....is that still correct?
Perhaps you're trying to be funny but those are amongst the most historically inaccurate and biased films ever created. It wouldn't surprise me if they were the source of yours and Pauls knowledge of history.
You're just a pathetic lying racist as evidenced by your previous use of lazy (and factually incorrect) stereotypes.
Lord, he's citing movies as fact now. I wonder if he's seen Sid James as Juan Domingo Peron in the Argentine biopic Carry on Claiming? Also starring Barbara Windsor as Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, as I recall, and Charles Haughtrey as Nestor.
Capt Poops stick - why don't you go home and burn your uniforms, and other trace of your supposed US Army involvement and get yourself a redcoat with HM patch emblem. Traitor, remember when the English Lords would burn the Jersey countryside clamoring to bring the horrors of war to the US. Go ahead and stand with your English lords. You sheepherders don't deserve any Academia, I am actually surprised that you read actually.
You must live a life of pointless hatred if you can't come to terms with events more than 200 years ago. Perhaps I should remind you that since those events your supposed country almost ripped itself apart in a war that cost 20 times more American lives than the revolution. Do you hate the South (or the North)? Do you hate the Germans for World War II, or the Japanese?
For more than 100 years the UK, its Empire and then the Commonwealth, and the United States have worked together as allies to shape the modern world.
I'd feel sorry for you but I'm fairly convinced you're just a racist Argentine nationalist who wants nothing more than to subjugate a peaceful people.
Perhaps he hates the Indians for mowing down Custer.
the Mexicans for attacking the Alamo,
the vet cons for Vietnam.
or the fire ants who are attacking America,
Back to topic:
WHO to Use Argentine Technique to Treat African Ebola Patients
Dr. Marie Paule Kieny, WHO's Assistant Director General for Health Systems and Innovation, announced from Geneva on Oct. 21 that WHO intends to use a method for treating Ebola patients in Liberia, devised in Argentina by the Julio Maiztegui National Institute of Human Viral Diseases.”
Remember guys. Air Force is as much an American as Asslips Kirchner is. He fails in his costume not knowing how close the USAF and the RAF worked together the the middle east where he claims he served yet he knows of no little details of ANY air field. I'm thinking an angry disgruntled Scots commie successionist.
There are plenty of angry disgruntled Scots commie secessionists, but few I would imagine who have so thoroughly mastered the Malvinista mindset in all its ignorance and irrationality, and fewer still who'd feel any need or advantage to pass themselves off as a US airman.
#36 your asses you mean West Africa right? Moreover the UK has been leading the international response commiting millions in resources.
Again if you're referring to World War II virtually every other non belligerent nation provided more help. What's more interesting is your characterisation that it was somehow our war. The UK and it's allies fought against brutal axis aggression where others refused to help or were complicit in that aggression (e.g. The USSR). Germany never desired war with British.
Any help you gave during World War II was more than cancelled out by your brutal pointless aggression against the Falklands.
paulcedron, if someone here contracted ebola they would not be treated in Argentina, they would either be treated in Chile's Clinica Alemana or in the UK.
But it is good to here that Julio Maiztegui National Institute of Human Viral Diseases has assisted in the fight against ebola, goes to show that much more can be achieved through cooperation instead of constant bickering.
paulcedron - Patients would be in Chile in a matter of hours by use of an air-ambulance, that is how most MEDIVACS work here, they get flown to Chile, all paid for by our Government.
Regardless of what the reactions would, the fact is that the chances of someone going to the Falklands from that region in Africa seem to be remote. So fortunately for FI they have minimal worries at the most.
Hey Paul, I see you didn't reply to my rebuttal on the other thread. Coward.
Can you answer me why if the healthcare on the islands is so bad that the islanders live longer than Argentines? This despite them not having local access to (the British invented) CT scanners etc.
@39
I know who US Air Farce is. And he ain't Scottish. I'll give you a clue. He is Argentine, he hasn't been around for a while. Also he used to constantly try to pick fights with me, goad me etc. I frequently used to put him in his place and ridicule him.
He had the same Malvinazi M.O. and used to repeat the same lies and lines.....
I notice that paulcedron claims to be anti-kirchner but won't engage with Enrique, Marcos or similiar.
Brit-bashing seems to be his only raison d'etre. Sad little chap really.
USAF is just a blatant goady troll who has no concrete beliefs. He is just on a wind-up. He is also an obvious fake. Not worth the time of day.
Meanwhile, The Falklands must have the lowest risk from the threat of Ebola out of many, many places in the world. Good that they have the foresight to have an emergency plan in place though. I imagine if Ebola hit Argentina the place would fall apart pretty swiftly. Most of their medical professionals are psychiatrists...
49 grandpa clyde
i would be missing a lot of teeth, huh?
and who is going to do that?
you?
lol
ilsen
your stupidity has no boundaries, i see.
i dont fucking care if marcos no se cuanto is kirchnerista or not, you asshole.
he is an hermano argentino and that´s it, got it?
and again, the islets have no risk of ebola because they do not have immigration or tourism.
but their problems are a lot worse, like inbreeding & genetic drift.
tiny islets, tiny genepool.
i bet you do not even have thumbs.
@51 Polly
Evolution 101: Genetic drift
In each generation, some individuals may, just by chance, leave behind a few more descendents (and genes, of course!) than other individuals. The genes of the next generation will be the genes of the “lucky” individuals, not necessarily the healthier or “better” individuals. That, in a nutshell, is genetic drift. It happens to ALL populations—there’s no avoiding the vagaries of chance. http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evosite/evo101/IIIDGeneticdrift.shtml
Your comment about thumbs was actually quite amusing and did make me smile. Your wit is steadily improving, but that's a natural adaptation as you spend more and more time hanging out with Brits.
So, overall, 6.5/10 for that post.
51 - Paul - Don't forget those Scots wear cute skirts too, they try deflect attention by calling them kilts. Imagine that, getting your teeth kicked in by a dude wearing a skirt...embarrassing.
48 - Ilsen, its obvious to me that you have never been married; its that or your poor husband must take a regular frypan beating for disagreeing with you. Nobody is goading you (until now) and I had not even realized that you were a woman....I thought you were wearing a kilt...sheez
#52 and#53
No, I am only good for one punch. If it connected ...game over but my arthritic shoulder would seize. However, there are plenty of others who could.
Remember the last time your people met them in an unfriendly fashion, they came off r-a-t-h-e-r worse for wear. More than a few teeth were lost as they high tailed it back to Stanley.
Voice says he wears a kilt occasionally so maybe he could tell you how it is done.
The Glasgow kiss is the favourite method.
As us airforce -(not worthy of upper case )- is SO obviously un Americano try your speech in N.Carolina and see if you get a favourable response.
The Greeks wear skirts too. The Argentinians wear a version of baggy knickers......even MORE girly.
@56 polyester-paul
aahh!
slipped back into the old ways!
Unfortunately you score zero points for that post.
Must try harder if you wish to emulate your beloved Brits. Even the merest smidgen of wit could get you on the scoreboard. If you lost points for bad grammar and repitition you would be in minus figures!
Traitor, remember when the English Lords would burn the Jersey countryside clamoring to bring the horrors of war to the US. Go ahead and stand with your English lords. You sheepherders don't deserve any Academia, I am actually surprised that you read actually.
Stevie,
What is this jumble of gobbledygook??
You have your histories and your cultures mixed up and intertwined - you must have been educated by Hollywood history epics and Argentine propaganda films, exclusively !
You denigrate and insult the Falkland Islands and the UK without a shred of evidence except, in some limited cases, a few opinion pieces.
Most recently you've claimed:
- the healthcare provided to Falkland Islanders is somehow substandard, this despite their life expectancy being much longer than Argentina. How could this be?
- England is a third world economy. Not only do you not have a clue of what third world actually means but the UK economy is currently stronger than the rest of the OECD.
- Bullshit about the teeth of English people. This despite the fact we are ranked as having the equal (with Denmark and Germany) lowest rate dental decay in Europe.
- The UK having sub-standard science and technology. This despite the UK having had a hand in the invention or development of ALL modern technology. In particular your precious ct scanners and magnetic resonators.
Your only response to the truth is a pathetic tirade of insults. How does it feel to be constantly proved wrong?
@59
I don't think he cares about being proved wrong as he probably doesn't belive what he writes he'll just write anything that he thinks (and I use that word in the loosest possible sense) will wind us up.
I have kind of given up on paulie. He seems to have lost the plot. Can't hold a discussion, let alone form an arguement. Now just spewing bile. Guess the economic pressures and lack of hope in any decent future have finally got to him.
We are witnessing his demise. A slow-motion car-crash.
This must be what it feels like to become carrion in your own lifetime.
Cristina, your chickens are coming home to roost, and they sure ain't pretty.
Poor Polly...
R.I.P. paulcedron (soon-ish)
65- Ilsen - the point is moot, I mean really, who cares, this high academia setting where we proverbially kick each other in the teeth every other post. But if you studied English at the Benny Hill School for English then it is spelled repitition...
Troy that is the Uruguayan with the poppa who is a terrorist is that not and he himself afraid to return? I've seen more of SA then he has........lol. He's been hiding quite low for a while.
He really was a bumbler wasn't he? Maybe he made his way back to SA.....and was killed? Though I doubt it........give up his comfortable like in Europe for South America....no way..lol

@56
54 boludo
answer you what, you dimwit?
you are boring + brainless.
you dont deserve more answers than this one
Clearly good Argentine irony and humour as your post @56 is the most boring on this thread, showing you as a boring dimwit and does not actually contain an answer.
@68
65- Ilsen - the point is moot, I mean really, who cares,
Obviously you do as you criticised Ilsen for a spelling mistake yet were too dumb to understand that 'you are' is abbreviated to 'you're'.
Once your errors are pointed out you display classic, classic Argentine mentality =I'm wrong but who cares.
Are you related to Alfredo Astiz who in 1982 was going to fight to the death on South Georgia but surrendered without firing a shot, to the Brits?
Also Benny Hill School for English. I hope you know the inference of this as all Whenis do.
Poops, why havent you taken you own advice and stop acknowledging me and go tend to your sheep? Take the lead like Ole Hans Stuka Gestapo boy has reported something like 6 times now, because the genocidal truth regarding the Fatherland...Tempest - who is Stevie?
Take the lead like Ole Hans Stuka Gestapo boy has reported something like 6 times now, because the genocidal truth regarding the Fatherland
OK, I give up. I admit it. I have read this sentence about 12 times and I cannot make head nor tail of it, especially not the bizarre non sequitur (curiously enough, another Argentine speciality).

Oct 23rd, 2014 - 06:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You must live a life of pointless hatred if you can't come to terms with events more than 200 years ago.

It seems we are going to save your asses again.
Oct 23rd, 2014 - 07:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0There are plenty of angry disgruntled Scots commie secessionists, but few I would imagine who have so thoroughly mastered the Malvinista mindset in all its ignorance and irrationality, and fewer still who'd feel any need or advantage to pass themselves off as a US airman.

Oct 23rd, 2014 - 07:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But it is good to here that Julio Maiztegui National Institute of Human Viral Diseases has assisted in the fight against ebola, goes to show that much more can be achieved through cooperation instead of constant bickering.

Meanwhile, The Falklands must have the lowest risk from the threat of Ebola out of many, many places in the world. Good that they have the foresight to have an emergency plan in place though. Oct 26th, 2014 - 02:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Evolution 101: Genetic drift
