HMS Liverpool is on its way to be broken up at a Turkish scrap yard. The Type 42 destroyer, nicknamed “Crazy Red Chicken” after her red Liver Bird badge, was built by Cammell Laird in 1982 and after 30 years’ service was finally laid up at Portsmouth Naval Dockyard, on March 30 2012. @ 2 The sad thing is that the Argentinina navy used to be a competent, well-supplied and considerable force. Years of neglecting it has turned our navy into a slightly militarized coast guard.

As for the article, it´s always sad to see a ship with so much past to be unmercifully scrapped. She probably deserved a more honorable retirement.
Nevertheless, these assets have an inexorable `expiration date´ at some moment, though.
All ships come to an end, what is one supposed to do with all the redundant ships in the world,

Noticeable that even at the end of their careers our ships manage to make it all the way to Turkey whilst your ships are lucky not to keel over in port, before the end of their careers. LMFAO
