Brazil, Argentina to strenghten aerospace cooperation; talk Gripen deal
Brazil and Argentina are to hold negotiations over the possible procurement of Brazilian-made, but Swedish-designed, jet fighters.

UK beware. Brazil & Argentina are cooperating more, arguing less....
I knew that Argentina was buying more and more gear from Brazil...from the VBTP-MR wheeled infantry fighting vehicle to the KC-390...but I didn't know that this was in the works. Check this out from UPI...
Brazil and Argentina are to begin negotiations over the purchase of Swedish-designed Gripen fighters to be manufactured in Brazil. The decision was announced in Brazil by visiting Argentine Defense Minister Agustín Rossi.
Brazil's Ministry of Defense said the talks over the possible purchase of 24 Brazil-produced Gripens would include not only the conditions of purchase but also Argentina's participation in the production of the Saab-designed aircraft.

Whilst we mourn those that have fallen,

Some may well be plotting the next offensive.

Where do they get the money ?
The Gripen has systems from the USA and Britain in it. You might be able to replace electronics, but ejection seats and engines are a bit tougher.

The Gripen is not a VTOL aircraft.
So if it attacks the Falklands, this time it's bye bye Argy airfields.

It will not get past a T45.

When the Meteor missile enters service-the Gripen won't stand a chance.

Unless of course Argentina continue their ' peaceful stance'.

It has one engine-a Typhoon has two.

As Argentina will not use Martin Baker election seats, they're going to have a problem.

British Aerospace had a big part in developing the Gripen, therefore we know all about it.

The Gripen is the first fighter to be equipped with Meteor. Lets hope the dark country never gets either. What happened to the clapped out Israeli fighters?

“Falklands arrangements for observance of Remembrance Sunday 9 November”

Sounds like it should be quite a moving ceremony.

Is there any details of any representatives from Downing Street or Buckingham Palace?

Will “Dave” be there? Please say he will!!

When is the Rochester by-election? 20th November? mmmm He will probably want to be far away from the Westminster AFTER the result not before.

The way things are going for him ( and YES this s**t storm is of his own making ) he will need an extended Christmas holiday to get over the shock. What with UKIP and the whole of the EU ganging up on him, soon there will be no where for him to run!!

Cameron will be at the Cenotaph, as is expected of him. You may get a minor royal. ...
You never know, maybe Prince Harry? He is pretty good for turning up for the troops.
Although I can imagine him abseiling one handed into Afghanistan with a crate of beers for the lads, or something equally heroic and dashing. ...
