an association of smuggler paradises, tax havens and pirate hideouts.

“It was this paper that acknowledged that the Overseas Territories were no longer economically dependent on the UK”

yes...tell that to the 13 million brits who live under the poverty line.

“Their name was thus changed to United Kingdom Overseas Territories.”

the proper name is england´s colonies.

Yawn... England hasn't existed as a sovereign political entity for 300 years. This ~100 years longer than Argentina has existed.

If you insist on using a term last relevant in the 17th century, perhaps we should refer to Argentina as: “part of the Viceroyalty of Peru combined with bits subsequent stolen from indigenous tribes”.

Poor Paul. Endlessly confused on why the Falkland Islanders would prefer to be a “colony of England” than part of Argentina.

It really is a reflection of how bad Argentina is.

Didnt one Cristina Fernández divert her courtesy aircraftcallsign Tango 1 there to ensure her loot was safely buried a year or so back?

We should all be one, The United Kingdom on Great Britain, Northern Ireland and overseas territories on our passports. And get rid of that European Union insulting wording.

“yes...tell that to the 13 million brits who live under the poverty line.”

Brits that are badly off in the UK are the responsibility of the UK government-not the BOTs.

The BOTs look after their people better than the UK look after us, but I'm still forever grateful I'm not Argentine.

“the proper name is england´s colonies”

@5 “England hasn't existed as a sovereign political entity for 300 years”

You (Paul) still don't understand what the UK is.

    Paul

The correct name of Argentina is “the last remnants of the genocidal Spanish Empire plus the lands of Patagonia stolen through the massacre of indigenous tribes”
