    Yes!

Especially the idea of organizing a landing party of supermodels to marry off sheep farmers into oblivion.

Recruiting posters will go up in BA any day now...

“Argentina’s ambassador to Uruguay Dante Dovena ” said....
    etc. etc.
No word from Uruguay to confirm the usual verbal diarrhea from Argentina.

NB: Ms Laurnaga, Chamber of Deputies, (of the Frento Amplio no less!), has previously noted the pivotal role of a former member of the UK House of Commons, Lord John Ponsonby, who was the chief negotiator of the Treaty of Montevideo which created the independent state of Uruguay in 1828.

    hmmm...

Usual drivel. Funny how you never hear firsthand from the politicians that allegedly support Argentina's illegitimate sovereignty claims, just third-hand via Argentinean politicians. A sovereignty claim without a sovereignty case can only mean it is illegitimate and w o r t h l e s s. 92 years since the world court system came into existence to deal with sovereignty disputes is a hell of a lot of acquiescence and nullifies anything that Argentina has. Lol

Somebody's evidently not been paying attention to Pepe's most recent pronouncements on th extent of Uruguay's commitment to the Malvinista cause: “Oh, what a mess that was! I had the British ambassador and all others calling me...and well, I'm not after a fight with the British at this stage. Why should I pick a fight? I don't fight with nobody but there are moments when you are forced to opt; you're not left with much space to move”

    and

“when your recover the Malvinas, then you'll have to deal with us, because originally during the Spanish empire, the Islands depended from the naval stockade in Montevideo, under direct command from the king in Spain, not from Buenos Aires. They didn't trust you”.

    http://en.mercopress.com/2014/12/01/a-malvinas-invasion-with-women-mujica-proposes-to-the-argentines

It's really rather unfair, in my view, for the other implanted Italo-Iberian colonial populations of South America to allow Argentina to persist in its delusion of completely committed support, but I guess at the end of the day they're perfectly happy to have Argentina's bile and aggression directed, for the most part, offshore.

Never forget that the argies are so stupid they fuck themselves over in the eyes of the world, especially when they ‘awarded’ a Malvinas Medal to Rosadilla who was in JAIL during the war: being a cowardly Tupa he allowed himself to be caught and not ‘fight to the death’ as they all trumpeted until push came to shove,BUT HE WOULD HAVE FOUGHT FOR TDC!

Of course he would the old drunk.

As long as this is all there is from the argies, the Islanders have no need to be fearful.

Where's our war-mongering latam common taters? Surely one of them has some new excuse. The papal bull of 1493 and the subsequent treaty. The spanish purchase. The 'invasions' of argieland that never happened. The american pirate. The treacherous merchant from Hamburg. The penal 'colony'. The murderers who became 'heroes'. The treaty that doesn't say what it says. The war that argieland lost but celebrates. Surely there must be something new by now. All the above have been debunked.

It's certain that the Islanders have nothing to fear. Faced by 41 million enemies, a small British garrison is enough to frighten them. One wonders how 1200 troops, 4 combat aircraft, 1 patrol vessel and 1 warship could 'frighten'? I looked up the combined strengths of the armed forces of 8 latam states. 1,163,494 personnel. 1,724 aircraft and 392 vessels. Brazil alone has 627 aircraft and 112 vessels. Who's doing the militarisation?

But how many of them have been used in anger against the Brits?

The last bunch got their arses handed to them on a plate and all the usual suspects are back in their shells, never to appear without the argies, and where are they? All hiding behind TMBOA skirts.

Strange that the South American countries talk so much about “colonialism” regarding the Falklands. Nobody ever mentions French Guiana, an integral part of the European republic of France on the SA mainland. 83,500 sq kms Europaean territorry on the very continent, compared to 12,200 sq kms in the south Atlantic.

I will tell you - they mean NOTHING!
    Facts for you -
    Uruguay trades with the Falklands

In that trade, Uruguyan Govt departments communicate with and agree documentation with the Govt of the Falkland Islands.

The words used are Falkland Islands or Islas Falklands.

Falklands Registered Fishing Vessels visit and dock in Montevideo

@8. I understand what you're saying BUT, Chile does have the ability to withstand argieland, fight back and win. Unless you're assuming that every other latam state would pile in on argieland's side. I can sort of understand Chile wanting a quiet life, but there has to come a time when principles come first. Britain had no need to go to war with Germany in 1939. We weren't being threatened. Whatever we might have suspected the future might hold. Argieland has a 'Treaty of Friendship' with Chile. Hitler had no further territorial ambitions. Argieland planned to attack Chile. Hitler planned to attack the rest of Europe. Argieland didn't 'protest' about the Falklands for 53 years between 1888 and 1941. How long will it be be before argieland decides to assert its dominance in Antarctica, Tierra del Fuego, mainland Chile? Britain will fight. Would Chile? And so Chile must be counted amongst the 'opposition' armed forces. If there was any intelligence in latam, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay would ally with the UK. In 1939, an objective observer would have said that the UK stood no chance. But, by 1941, the UK was starting to win. Without the U.S. it might have taken a little longer. But then, if we hadn't diverted resources to the soviets, they and the nazis might have wiped each other out. So many problems solved. So don't look at NOW, or next year or five years from now. One question. If you had to 'save' argieland or Chile, which would you choose? But if Chile had similar aspirations? Uruguay does. Although Uruguay is no more relevant than an irritating flyspeck.

Don't the Bolivarians get slagged by the RG's, for being “inferior”??
Don't the Chileans get screwed by Argentina, jealous of the success of LAN ??

Don't the Falkland Islands carry the memory of invasion, and have to arm themselves for their protection from a covetous neighbour??

What kind of neighbour is that ???

My kids football has went over the neighbours fence, little did I know that they'd planned to claim it as their own and garner support from the Jones's at 42, my fear is that if the Robertson's (at 41) get involved I'll have a 3 way claim on my hands, and no real proof of purchase...

I wonder if the manufacturer can technically ceed the ball to me on my sons behalf, I know these things can take a while so I've set aside 30 years and put in place a strategic barrage of wheelie bins around said Jones's drive way, next step is to document and fabricate some type of ball constitution, ya'know in case something happens to me, then future generations can carry on the “Cause” I figure a fitting name for this is “recuperar el fútbol”

and I may add in the documents that, its possible that Mr Jones's estate slightly infringes on my non-continental shelf (overhanging tree with roots under my lawn) Surely, thats a new claim right there, in fact f**k this I'm going over there now with my catapult and some corned beef sarnies, this dispute ends NOW!!

Thank you President Barack Obama and Pope Francis, for your leadership. All countries of America (from Alaska to Tierra del fuego), appreciated and will recognize his leadership forever.

Today December 17 is a day that will live forever in the memory of Latin Americans.

Beyond, that many of us in Latin America not share the Cuban ideology, Cuba is an American country and should return to their roots, along with the rest of the countries of America, beyond ideologies, sitting at a table where all the American countries put forward their opinion.

Now the challenge is to the Cubans themselves, hope in a future free elections and multiparty. Cuba should relax its political system towards new horizons, more democratic and flexible. The countries of Latin America has a fundamental role in this last item.

NOW THE ONLY DISPUTE WHICH STANDS IS THE MATTER FALKLANDS / MALVINAS. THE UNITED KINGDOM MUST HAVE THE GREATNESS TO START A DIALOGUE, ONLY THAT, DIALOGUE, NOTHING MORE.

A NEW AMERICA IS EMERGING FROM ALASKA TO TIERRA DEL FUEGO, LONDON TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF THAT.

OTHERWISE, THE BRITISH ISLANDERS WILL BE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN ALL OUR GREAT AMERICA, ISOLATED WITHOUT BEING ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS OF OUR LIFE AS AMERICANS

NOW AT THE MEETING OF MERCOSUR, HERE IN ARGENTINA, ALL COUNTRIES OF THE REGION (INCLUDING CHILE) ARE EXPRESSING, JUST RIGHT NOW, THE UNRESTRICTED SUPPORT FOR THE QUESTION MALVINAS AND VULTURES FUNDS TO ARGENTINA.

FALKLANDS / MALVINAS, FROM TODAY AND LAST GREAT CAUSE OF AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU AND WISH YOU AT HOME, BEAUTIFUL, RADIANT AND VIBRANT AS YOU WENT SOMETIME.
