The sanctions are mainly aimed at stopping Maduro and Chavez allies from heading to the USA to invest their proceeds of crime.

News here is that the actor and newlywed George Clooney suggested to avoid security problems with the theatres, the Sony film in question be downloaded online.
I looked at the trailer online here ( WIFI is better here ) and frankly I'm not impressed with what I saw. But I understand his point.
The trouble is, Clooney wants the Studio Heads to have the courage of other people's convictions - not gonna happen, ever.
