According to this article, and Masiel González Castellano, a Cuban Coast Guard vessel repeatedly rammed her vessel and then “rescued most of the survivors”. Doesn't that sound a little odd? Any information on the sea state? Are Cuban Coast Guard vessels armed? If they are, why not just shoot the boat up from a distance? Why leave anyone alive?

The real reasons were,
No.1
Saddam was getting too independent.
No.2
America wanted lraq's oil.
This is not to say that Saddam was a good guy.
He was a murdering bastard that killed plenty of his own citizens, but that didn't stop the USA from using him when it suited them.
