Animal not just things. Unprecedented court ruling indicates that although not human, 29-year-old Sandra has the right to be set free to live in a Brazilian sanctuary. Read full article
@2
Yes indeed wonderful news . Has anyone told her yet of her rights ?
Next, dogs will have the right to wear fleece jackets in winter and a haircut ion summer. Just a thought.
I thing this is really good news, congrats.
I´m all for better treatment to animals, it is time to stop looking at them as things, since they are living creatures entitled to respect and protection beyond the mere thing-value standard.
Well done.
I think animals can be treated with care and respect without giving them 'Human' Rights. I don't know what the laws on animal cruelty are in Argentina. Do you have any? Are the enforced? Can people treating animals cruelly be prosecuted and banned from keeping animals?
I know Argentines are animal lovers, you just have to see from the number of dogs everywhere, I just wish they would pick up the dog shit.
@9
You can introduce any animal rights law you wish, Argentina is a free country after all (thanks to Margaret Thatcher), but to invoke British Habeas Corpus is a bit of a cheek.
Glad she is going to a sanctuary where she has the chance to ignore other orangutangs like she does in the wild. What is that zoo biologist going on about? His zoo just wants her so people will pay money to look at her.
Humans get more civilised and one way of it being shown is how animals are treated. Back in the 17th and 18th C they used to bring turtles back from the Americas to Europe for soup. The turtles were kept alive to be fresh so to stop them wandering about they nailed their front flippers to boards....
We are past that stage as more civilised. We all know we have some way to go yet though.
It's not the animals that are wild - it's the HUMANS: Beer is poured on a tiger, bird is punched and naked man found in penguin enclosure during London Zoo's drunken party nights
“Orangutans are lonely, quiet animals that get together only to mate or to look after their offspring,” Not quite true. More accurately ”Orangutans are the most solitary of the great apes, with social bonds occurring primarily between mothers and their dependent offspring, who stay together for the first two years. Lonely and solitary are not the same thing. Anybody ever kept a continuous 24/7 observation on a number of orangutans for, say, 5 years? Orangutans are acknowledged to be amongst the most intelligent of the primates. And if we don't understand what they say, what does that make us. Perhaps Sandra's way beyond us. And just has nothing to say to us. Who goes to a zoo to look at animals anyway? What's wrong with a video of them in the wild? Suppose Sandra feels a need to have a fling and get it on with a male! How's Sestelo going to cope with that?

@17. Including the biggest. Argieland!
@34. Perhaps you should 'Think' about what you kill. Indigenous people. One's own. Those you invade. How many deaths are you responsible for, Pablo? It wasn't us! is no longer acceptable. YOU are responsible for the original rape and murder of indigenous people. YOU are responsible for the TWO 'Conquests of the Desert'attempting to destroy the remaining indigenous people. YOU are responsible for the 30,000 people killed during the Dirty War. You are responsible for what happened to the people of Paraguay. YOU are responsible for the deaths of 3 Falklanders and 255 liberating British servicemen. YOU are a disgusting sub-human murderer. YOU are responsible for everything for everything your shithole has done for the last hundred years. SINS OF THE FATHER. You might be worth some consideration if you changed. But you're still SHIT. Why don't you do the world a favour? Go off somewhere and kill yourself. Find an 8-foot metal stake, shove it up your arse and jump up and down. Send us a photo so we can be sure. Let's see YOUR guts spilling out. Make no mistake. I would willingly rip your guts apart with a bayonet, machete or kukri. Don't know how long I will survive. But as long as I do........!
...did you realize that you hunt lions and tigers and elephants.....oh my!
Captain, I actually go to India twice a year to hunt Tigers.
They are getting quite rare, so it's really good sport when you see one, and actually manage to bag it.
Lost two of our native bearers last year - Tiger got them before I shot it!
Very annoying, as we did not have enough servants to carry out gear after that.
I had to buy off the families and I left them all the meat, as we don't use that, ourselves.
The skin looks great on the wall.
The hunting is better in Africa, especially if you know the right people *wink, wink*
Lions have been good fun, but elephants are the real prize now.
The locals are happy to take the meat for their families. In exchange, they have made us the most wonderful Ivory knick-knacks and carvings.
I only regret that these noble beasts, with such great spirit, are fewer and fewer.
Our family and many of our friends have made a tradition of this for decades, but I fear my son won't have his chance to bag any significant kills for much longer.
:-(
Hoping to club a few seal pups with the grandkids over the holidays, though.
Come with me sometime Captain, we can bag a few moose, drink some good Sipping Whiskey, and have a few laughs.
Have you tried hunting from a chopper?
I recommend it - we can get right into some of the 'protected' areas, deep in the back country.
I like spending as much of my spare time, with fellow sportsmen that like s good hunt.
I could let you try my assault rifle - I've converted it back to full automatic!!
I thought I'd demonstrate how ridiculous Pablo Chimp-Boy Cedrone's scenario is, that we are a 'Race' of Big Game Safari Hunters like his 19th Century heros that eradicated the Aboriginal pests that previously inhabited their Patagonia Cattle Ranches.
The sarcasm will undoubtedly be lost on the likes of him and Snotty *sigh*
My wife and I actually take in SPCA dogs rescued from animal cruelty situations.
Merry Christmas, Isolde.
Great news from Argentina, and I agree that zoos should be phased out-but wildlife parks seem better and trying to provide un threatened wild habitats for wildlife should be attempted. Certainly pleased that I have encouraged 3 Barn Owls this year by keeping a lot of the grass long-hope to maximise wildlife but the best 'zoos' I ever saw were on Sealion, Carcass and Westpoint Islands
@45 Troy Tempest,
l guessed you were doing it for stupid's benefit & l guess l had a blonde moment.
Re-reading your post, it would be difficult for even a hardened hunter to do all the things that you mentioned!
So sorry for my doubts!
l support the RSPCA & they are in my will also.
Merry Christmas to you & yours, Troy.
now it seems that this herd of atheists become in devotees only for christmas time.
lol
back to topic, you isleters, are responsible of the death of 5 million penguins, due to the greed and massive corruption of both the government and population.
luckily, many of those penguins found a safe spot in argentina, where they are treated properly.
this is considered a serious crime in the americas.
you lot and your corrupt viceroy should rot in jail.
What would Christmas be like - without your bile and hatred?? :-)
Ahh, we'll never know.
Mike Bingham's stories of corruption and deceit??
That's the same Mike Bingham who used to call himself Doctor Bingham.
Same guy that was bounced out of the Falklsnds and then Chilé, for misrepresenting his credentials and qualifications.
J
Welcomed with open arms by Argentina... naturally.
A proven liar and self aggrandising, he now makes a living publishing books in English and Spanish, about the dastardly FI !!
Have you, an Argentino genocidist, given up on condemning us as hunters of tigers, lions, and elephants???
52
how many words apart from dead and scum do you know, you genetic aberration?
and we are talking about your first language, no?
another drawback of being a product of ages of incest, i guess.
As I said @45
I thought I'd demonstrate how ridiculous Pablo Chimp-Boy Cedrone's scenario is, that we are a 'Race' of Big Game Safari Hunters like his 19th Century heros that eradicated the Aboriginal “pests” that previously inhabited their Patagonia Cattle Ranches.
Please dispute that if you can.
No, I thought not... :-)
Off to sunny California USA tomorrow!!
What, never been?
Never wi go?? LOL !!
Is it not on list of places worth visiting????
55 toy
clearly you, like the rest of the bennys here, never left the islets.
that's why all of you are so narrow minded.
the poor, poor education system of the islets has a lot to do also.
again, my honest advice to you, herd of ignoramuses is: build a real school, a university, travel more, and most important, try to get some dignity and stop being so parasites.
captain poop
Pablo, btw...... I agree it is smart to call yourself Paul instead of Pablo, thereby a feeble attempt to hide your race.
says another ignorant hillbilly...lol
since when paul is an english name exclusively?
nobody expects too much from you bennys, but paul is also a french, basque, and german name.
there is a lot of paul, pau,etc here in argentina and none is related with this english lingo.
you should travel more, or at least try to read a book once in a while.
ignoramus x 10000
Paul doesn't seem to realize or maybe he's just willfully ignorant that the Falklanders are the richest per capita community in South America, by a mile.
Most of them have 2nd homes somewhere else, travel extensively, can afford to send their children to any school anywhere in the world, can afford new imported cars and live a healthy, happy, secure life that Rgs could only dream of.
Nobody lives behind 12 foot gates and barred windows or have to have armed guards patrolling their property 24 hrs a day. They don't worry about getting mugged, stabbed, car jacked or violated when they walk the streets at night.
That kind of security is unknown in Argentina. Even in remote country areas you still have to be wary of getting commando assaulted as you sleep.
I loved the Falklands when I visited. It is lovely and I can see the attraction of living in a remote community.
Pablo.....is that la campora's word of the month.....hillbilly?
If you wish to believe I am English.....that's your chosen ignorance......something you RG's, or is it Uruguayan have perfected.
Pablo.....you seem to know so much of me, tell me where I am at this very moment. And please......elaborate of my travels...or lack thereof?
Email me at m.cher1160@outlook.com and I will show you me visas....and in the case of RGland, my tax entry receipt.....good for 10 years.
If you insist on calling everyone a Benny, you must be one dumb mestizo. Are you one of the persecuted Qom? Or perhaps the elusive black man that RG's were all killed off?
BTW.......I got this deal of RG flags. It comes on a roll and you can pull of sheets of them...........only they are not too durable.
yb that is because Pablo does not travel.....only reads what he is told.
PC you should gather your wits and become more like your brother CD2
Paul has gone off the deep end ever since Construction/Real Estate crashed. I think he finally realized that this is the beginning of a decade (maybe a generation) long downturn and he's not had a job in a very very long time and probably won't be able to work in his profession ever again.
I think that's the problem all the Rg posters are having right now and the reason they are all lashing out over perceived slights.
I agree yb.......in the Army we called that instant.....the Oh..shhhiit moment. SOme of those moments are deadly.....yet others mere catastrophic as in the case of the working people in Argentina.
62. From what I undertand most of the Falklanders marry people from outside of the islands...
so that shoots your theory to sh*t
Paul, you are something mentally wrong with you. Your jealousy of a place you've never seen, people you've never met is unhealthy. You really should talk to one of he 100s of thousands of psychologists in your county. Maybe they can give you a pill or commit you or something.
Just because you don't have a job and your life is horrible is not the fault of the people living in The Falklands.
Just keeps saying that over and over again until it sinks in.
Paul, you should just stick with the old Jewish Masonic Banking Conspiracy script. At least you'd be talking about something you think you know about. ;)
Like yb......I see you strike out based on your anger and jealousy of the situation your live in stevie. Poor little poor boi. You country offers you no opportunities to advance in life, your leaders continue the south american way of corruption of taking from you if you working and earn wages, no imports and now very little to export. You are a pariah in the normal world, they feed you the Falklands lie to unify the light minded and for many it works. Yes.........your facade is feeble. Especially you lack of travel. As I said.....email me at m.cher1160@outlook.com and I will be happy to show you all my visa's....something you cannot do you bola menos maravilla.
Well they give Human Rights to Kirchner and Timergollum and Castro. Why not to an orangutan? I'm sure it would do a better job of running Argentina than that crew.
@56
again, my honest advice to you, herd of ignoramuses is: build a real school, a university, travel more, and most important, try to get some dignity and stop being so parasites.
But Paul, the Islanders don't want to be Argentine.....
#62
Ignoramus. England is NOT an island. You appear to be an outstanding example of the Argentine education - or lack of - system.
England has a tiny gene pool ? It has a much larger population than Argentina.
That is a good one coming from a product of Spanish and Mafiosa Italians.
The worst possible combination of genes with, it seems, no redeeming factors.
69
ignorant grandpa.
england is not even an island, it is just a portion of a tiny island.
and what the fuck has the number of inhabitants got to do with this issue?
the important thing is to mix the different ancestries like in argentina, and not to have ghettos like in england.
so you have packies, chinese, indians, britontos, whatever, all separately.
have you ever asked yourself why the english are so ugly and not exactly brilliant?
well, because of their tiny genepool, you retarded grandpa.
Keep posting Pauli and let everyone see what an ignorant twat you are.
You comments display a mindset so thick that I doubt if x-rays could penetrate more than a centimeter into your dense skull.
My comments have nothing to do with the heading of this subject, although it is obvious to all that Orang Utans have a higher IQ than you.
You really have not got a clue about life in Britain or the mix in the genetic gene pool.
The English not exactly brilliant ? Even a 7 year old could disprove that one.
Argentina, if you are the prime example, must consist of a race of sub standard morons who go around with a begging bowl shouting Malvinas, Malvinas.
That sums up your joke of a country. A carbuncle on the arse of mankind.
If you wish me to be rude then I can try harder and even descend to your trashy level. However, as it is the season of goodwill, I will limit myself to the pleasantries above.
Clyde pc is too lacking to see what he actually is. everyone and anyone only needs to read his sophomoric vile to make the same conclusion. Though I must admit......it is somewhat fun watching pc sink in a slow (somewhat faster now) anad painless demise. It's like slowly boiling frogs in a pot..........only they do it to themselves.
Funny...Venezuela use to get attention in articles, now they are hardly a blip. Next that will be Argentina after the last nail is hammered.

Dec 24th, 2014 - 05:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@34.

Dec 24th, 2014 - 06:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0...did you realize that you hunt lions and tigers and elephants.....oh my!
:-D
This is a mistake. Orangutans live solitary lives. You cannot humanize animals.

Dec 24th, 2014 - 09:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Your post is for paulcedron's benefit, l hope.
And you do have tongue-in-cheek?
44 Isolde!!!
Dec 24th, 2014 - 09:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You have to ask??? :-(
I thought I'd demonstrate how ridiculous Pablo Chimp-Boy Cedrone's scenario is, that we are a 'Race' of Big Game Safari Hunters like his 19th Century heros that eradicated the Aboriginal pests that previously inhabited their Patagonia Cattle Ranches.

@45 Troy Tempest,
Dec 25th, 2014 - 06:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0l guessed you were doing it for stupid's benefit & l guess l had a blonde moment.
Re-reading your post, it would be difficult for even a hardened hunter to do all the things that you mentioned!
So sorry for my doubts!
l support the RSPCA & they are in my will also.
Merry Christmas to you & yours, Troy.
Best Wishes to you too, Isolde.
Dec 25th, 2014 - 07:47 am - Link - Report abuse 0Thanks for your post.
I'm sending your boys some Voodoo dolls in Thinks

back to topic, you isleters, are responsible of the death of 5 million penguins, due to the greed and massive corruption of both the government and population.
luckily, many of those penguins found a safe spot in argentina, where they are treated properly.
this is considered a serious crime in the americas.
you lot and your corrupt viceroy should rot in jail.

Are you going looting later today??
@49. FIRST you have to show that you're credible and believable.
Dec 25th, 2014 - 06:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Somehow you have to overcome the concept that, as an argie, you LIE.
A thousand years from now, you might be believed. When you're all dead! But when will argies stop being scum?

Please dispute that if you can.
No, I thought not... :-)
Off to sunny California USA tomorrow!!

Dec 26th, 2014 - 10:22 am - Link - Report abuse 0clearly you, like the rest of the bennys here, never left the islets.
that's why all of you are so narrow minded.
the poor, poor education system of the islets has a lot to do also.
again, my honest advice to you, herd of ignoramuses is: build a real school, a university, travel more, and most important, try to get some dignity and stop being so parasites.
Why do RG's think everyone is either a Brit or an Islander.
Dec 26th, 2014 - 02:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Pablo, btw...... I agree it is smart to call yourself Paul instead of Pablo, thereby a feeble attempt to hide your race.
So is this what they teach at War College in Argentina? Talking and insulting to death as a means of getting your so called islands back?
SO Pablo, how much further decay since June will I see on my next visit to BA city this time around? Each visit gets worse.

Dec 26th, 2014 - 02:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Pablo, btw......
Dec 26th, 2014 - 02:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Most of them have 2nd homes somewhere else, travel extensively, can afford to send their children to any school anywhere in the world, can afford new imported cars and live a healthy, happy, secure life that Rgs could only dream of.
Dec 26th, 2014 - 04:41 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If you wish to believe I am English.....that's your chosen ignorance......something you RG's, or is it Uruguayan have perfected.
Dec 26th, 2014 - 04:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think that's the problem all the Rg posters are having right now and the reason they are all lashing out over perceived slights.

Dec 26th, 2014 - 06:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0the islets, england...what's the difference?
they are tiny islands = tiny genepool.
the ones i referred to, are these inbred hillbillies:
http://horrordigest.blogspot.com.ar/2011/03/x-files-home.html
it seems they are very common in those tiny, isolated islets.
I agree yb.......in the Army we called that instant.....the Oh..shhhiit moment. SOme of those moments are deadly.....yet others mere catastrophic as in the case of the working people in Argentina.
Dec 26th, 2014 - 08:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 062. From what I undertand most of the Falklanders marry people from outside of the islands...
Dec 26th, 2014 - 10:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0so that shoots your theory to sh*t
At least you'd be talking about something you think you know about. ;)
Dec 26th, 2014 - 10:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Pablo......is that your best? Really?
Dec 27th, 2014 - 05:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Like yb......I see you strike out based on your anger and jealousy of the situation your live in stevie.
So I ask again....is this your best?
Well they give Human Rights to Kirchner and Timergollum and Castro. Why not to an orangutan? I'm sure it would do a better job of running Argentina than that crew.

Dec 27th, 2014 - 08:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Ignoramus.

Dec 28th, 2014 - 03:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0ignorant grandpa.
england is not even an island, it is just a portion of a tiny island.
and what the fuck has the number of inhabitants got to do with this issue?
the important thing is to mix the different ancestries like in argentina, and not to have ghettos like in england.
so you have packies, chinese, indians, britontos, whatever, all separately.
have you ever asked yourself why the english are so ugly and not exactly brilliant?
well, because of their tiny genepool, you retarded grandpa.

Dec 28th, 2014 - 06:35 am - Link - Report abuse 0and not to have ghettos like in england.
Pablo,
There are NO villa Miserables in the UK, like there are in Argentina- what a fool you are.
Your racism is offensive and overt!!
Keep posting Pauli and let everyone see what an ignorant twat you are.
Dec 28th, 2014 - 10:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0You comments display a mindset so thick that I doubt if x-rays could penetrate more than a centimeter into your dense skull.
