Nicaragua is located in Central America, not in South America.

Is there any deficiency in the English educational system?

Half a dozen people are complaining. Must have received some form of right-wing media sponsorship.

No media outlet is free and impartial in the “Western” corrupted.

    @2 and 4 Brasileiro

Are you reading the same report as I am? What is the point about whether Nicaragua is in South America or Central America? It is in LATIN AMERICA, idiot!

And the protesters number much more than “half a dozen”, I can assure you. The imposition of this monstrous project with no consultation with the Nicaraguan people is typical of a Communist regime which, of course, Nicaragua is.

I must say I feel very sorry for you as you appear to a stupid troll with no clear concept about what happens outside Brasil(LATIN AMERICA, like Nicaragua).

VOw to fight with their lifes from 6 people? See gordo1, this is why SA is in the shitter. When deficits when to 50% they called it 5%, when inflation hits 60% they call it 10%. No wonder when thousands of protesters vow to fight with their lifes, assholes like brasshole sees only 6 protesters.

Between the US and China, I prefer China. The new inter-oceanic canal in Nicaragua will be a great deal for South America and the Caribbean.

    Very well done, China!

You have it wrong again! The person promoting this monstrous project is a private person of Chinese nationality. There is no Chinese government input - this has been emphasised from the beginning.

Also, according to your original comment, how can this project, in CENTRAL AMERICA, be a great deal for SOUTH AMERICA? You really are a mixed up troll!

Do not be silly, little friend. This channel is precisely to bring the South American Atlantic to China and Asia.
It's good business to reduce our import and export costs.

It will be interesting to see if this will ever be finished. I think China may run out of money before its ever done.

And if we ever need it the USA can just take it over.

As an asshole his head is deeply implanted in his brasshole.

    “The groundbreaking was largely symbolic”

“More than a year since it was first announced, the project faces widespread skepticism, with questions still open about WHO WILL PROVIDE FINANCING, how seriously it will affect Lake Nicaragua and how much land will be expropriated for it.”

“The compensation offer for our lands is ridiculous.”

This is highlights for the Brasshole becuase he does not read' I read last week that China is trying to get the international community to pay for it.

“But ask Mr Coronel just where construction will begin and who will pay for it, and he has no answers. Neither does HKND, the Hong Kong-based company run by Wang Jing, which is to build the $50 billion waterway.”

I read about the Nicaraguan canal. There is no private enterprise in China in these dimensions.
There is no doubt that the Chinese state is the sponsor of this undertaking!

Firstly I think it is excellent. It is where the canal should have been.

Adding competition to the Panama canal will be good for all.

However, the people who should benefit the most (the Nicaraguans) won't. The profits will be shared between the private Chinese investor and the corrupt wretched Nicaraguan government.

But who cares...competition is good, British shipping will choose whoever offers the best deal.

Good for all the Merchant lines. It's really getting expensive transiting to Canal, competition will keep the fees down. Poor Nicaraguan peasants will be taking the ass waxing.......but Ortega hardly care as long as his wealth explodes like the Castro's who are now multi-billionaires.

Westerners enjoy corruption to steal the riches/corrupts of the Third World.
    “This property is confiscated!”
In exchange will continue to receive thousands of Central Americans each year!

Our government is already preparing to block all US companies if Petrobras suffer some economic sanction of the Saxons judges.

The country to benefit most if this canal is actually built is......

    The United States of America.

    2013 total trade with China:
    USA $521 billion
    Brazil $90 billion

Brazil pfffft the country of the future..... that never gets there.

Nicaragua is located in Central America, not in South America

does this not then, make 3 bits of Americas,
and the bit between the canals makes it an island,
and thus south America just a bigger island,

    just a thought
