Argentina's government called a leading prosecutor a 'despicable liar' on Thursday for accusing President Cristina Fernandez of secretly negotiating with Iran to avoid punishing those responsible for the country's worst terrorist attack, and insisted the whole thing was a 'media show'. Pot calling the kettle black - it seems to me!
Jan 16th, 2015 - 09:15 am - Link - Report abuse 0investigating the president clandestinely
Jan 16th, 2015 - 10:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0Is he going to come up behind her in the hopes of catching her 'with her pants down' as we say in the UK?
If he succeeds he'll be turned to stone!
I may be wrong but surely you don't want to tip off a suspect that you are investigating them.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 10:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0So what is wrong with a clandestine investigation.
If an arrest and prosecution results, all the evidence is presented then.
Unless the Argy legal system works in some strange way.
@4 Unless the Argy legal system works in some strange way I think you have hit the nail on the head there. I lived in Argentina for 2 and a half years and I could not understand it. Try calling a prosecuter a liar in the UK and see what happens. Argentine JUSTICE seems to be nothing but name calling. He said that Ah but he said this and nothing gets done. A disaster of a country, mind you look to see where they all originated from ( Spain, Portugal Nazi Germany )
Jan 16th, 2015 - 11:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0Well at least Portugal is prosecuting their former PM, although it would help if they looked a lot further down, he is just the tip of the Iceburg.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 11:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0They do their damndest to silence the press in this country.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 12:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Timerman is a disgrace to his family, his religion and most certainly Argentina.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 01:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Saying that, he fits perfectly with his political party...
If there was nothing here the Ks wouldn't be squeezing so much.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 01:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I hope CFK and her minions and disgusting children end up in jail or otherwise dealt with...
'despicable liar' =slander,
Jan 16th, 2015 - 02:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0should not CFK immediately issue court papers to prove her innocent,
or should she not knee jerk react and sit on it for at least until she disappears later this year...
p/s
some say she has been seen hanging around the Ecuadorian embassy...lol
Noticeable that the trolls wont comment on this one. Guess they dont want the payments to stop!
Jan 16th, 2015 - 02:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0For the most part the trolls are commenting on nothing.....they vanished. Amazing what no electricity does.

Jan 16th, 2015 - 02:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Funny how they always seem to go together.
:)
I've investigated a few cases in my time. Even if it's going to court, it's normal to investigate circumspectly in order not to warn any person likely to be accused. Something that some parts of the media seem to forget. When the individual(s) are being summonsed or charged, the defence is informed of the evidence. The person who is eventually accused usually has an idea what's going on. Partly because they committed the offence in the first place and also because they'll probably have been questioned. And CFK should well know what is going on. The suggestion seems to be that hubby in the clear. And wasn't there an American president that had a sign on his desk that said The buck stops here?
Jan 16th, 2015 - 03:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0This seems like a very political case anyway. It would make no sense for the Iranians to have been involved in this. Iran does not have many friends left in the world so why would they suddenly create a new enemy where they least of all need one?
Jan 16th, 2015 - 05:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If anything I would think that had the Iranian government known of this terror attack in advance they would have done everything in their power to stop it.
This happened in 1994. Argieland was still doing truth finding and prosecutions from the Dirty War. My best guess is that the terror attack was carried out by elements of the Argie military intelligence, with strong ties to the former junta. They may have wanted to destabilize or discredit the civilian government or simply draw attention away from the Dirty War prosecutions...
Then why are CFK and Timmerman et al denying it and not blaming it on Menem etc. Of course the government were guilty by associating with the Iranians. Why would a Memerendum of Understanding be signed with the Iranians if your analyise is correct. You really do not know , just admit it.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 07:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It is obvious that Timerman is becoming desperate, the poor bugger - will they return him to Ucraine?
Jan 16th, 2015 - 08:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Brown-nosed Timerman,
Jan 16th, 2015 - 08:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Truly a man of straw.
But will that Straw break CFKs back..lol
Jan 16th, 2015 - 08:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0CF investigated clandestinely, or openly, does not change the facts....she is as guilty of the cover-up as the Trolls are of being brainwashed turds.
Jan 16th, 2015 - 09:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0YB - Think/Voice is back in Argyland in his shack and there is no broadband. They have both had such a thrashing in 2014 I am wondering if their contracts will actually be renewed. We are only a couple of weeks into 2015 and Thickheaded is having a very hard time. Thevonly entertainment we are left with is Toby :(

Jan 17th, 2015 - 07:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Remember when he was still trying to convince us of his Dover login? One time he used the Think login to ask the Dover login to hold the fort while he went fishing. He made what he thought were all sorts of elaborate efforts to convince nobody that the two logins were operated by different people.
Chuckle chuckle
A Jewish man (Timmerman), calling a Jewish man (Nisman), despicable.
Jan 18th, 2015 - 02:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0Oh so that's why the anti-Semitism card has not been played yet.
Anibal Fernandez better keep his mouth shut.
Wow, Chopper caught Jew baiting. Not like it was any surprise, his racist remarks are well recorded here. So what is it to be? The same fate relegated to Afro-Argentines?(Stabbing with a traditional Argentine blade.) Or a subjection to the already infamous Chopper's Dilemma?
Jan 18th, 2015 - 06:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0It doesn't really matter. It's all part of the Nazi symp Peronist crackpotism that Chopper espouses, known as the NoEthics school of thought. ;)
