Cristina Fernandez first twit reaction to 'Iran plot' claim; Nisman to Congress next week

Argentine President Cristina Fernández made her first public statement since AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman accused her of allegedly covering up Iran’s role in the 1994 attack that left 85 dead and 300 injured. Nisman is scheduled to visit congress next week invited by opposition lawmakers to reveal further details of the alleged plot. Read full article

    ”It is an informal call on behalf of Bullrich but the FpV decided to attend,” she confirmed as she warned Kirchnerite lawmakers will seek to make Nisman “answer face to face what we are going to question him about,” so that it is made “clear” before the public opinion “what is going on” with him.

    Given the comments by 'Magnus' on another thread, it seems the only ones not knowing 'what is going on' is TMBOA's own supporters.

    As usual TMBOA is lying and Gollum is her willing apprentice.

    Picking up a few little bits from the article;
    Why has CFK so little to say? Still trying to figure out the 'story'? Or manufacturing some 'evidence'?
    What is the relevance of her attendance at a rally? This applies equally to the matter of the Interpol red note alerts. As usual, the argie government puts out one face for public consumption, whilst doing something else behind closed doors.
    Which takes us on to the informal PRIVATE meeting between opposition 'lawmakers' and Nisman. If the meeting has been set up by the opposition, how does the FpV get to attend? Has it been invited? When did it join the opposition? The opposition and Nisman will have to decide whether the FpV should be admitted. Wise to have plenty of security on hand. Then any FpV attendees attempting to disrupt the meeting can be thrown out.
    I'm sure that the government will be pleased to learn that all meetings in the Congress building have to be 'public'. No doubt they'll be making appropriate arrangements for ALL meetings between members of the government, government officials and others are 'public'.
    I smell lots of rats.

    US hedge funds aren't the only ones are suing Argentina over its sovereign bond repayment terms. German bond investors are also demanding full payment of state debts. They've taken their case to Germany's highest court.

    How appropriate......a tweet on a twit from a twat.

    Always amazed me on my January visits that justice goes on vacation in January. Is there a country in Europe where the courts close for an extended period of time? Because they do not in the USA. Prosecutors, judges and lawyers take vacations but the entire system does not shut down.

    I'll have to use that one next time. Sorry officer I wasn't speeding..... Look here's a picture of me as a baby in nappies before I could walk.

    Ergo I could not possibly be driving because as you can see in this picture, my legs are unable to reach the peddles.

    Why is FpV going to the meeting and insisting its public? First to find out the names of the witnesses so that they can be intimidated or disposed of. Secondly so that Hectoring Timmerman can pack the hall with his Campora supporters and disrupt the meeting.

    @9 Captain Poppy
    Yes, the High Court in the UK closes down during July and August.

    There is a judge in attendance for emergency applications and injunctions, but no cases will be tried until the rest of the Judges return at the end of August.

    The court offices still function, but on reduced numbers, so it can take longer to process appeals or get forms issued.

    As Argentina is in the Southern Hemisphere and their summer is the opposite to ours, I would expect them to take their main holiday between February and March, but it appears that they take January and February off.

    I find it amusing as he calls others evil with his wishes. The one who professes to know all they need to know is the one who knows the least. The acquisition of knowledge never ends nor does the understanding of others. Intelligent opinions are dynamic and always morphing and developing. Those that are fixed in one paradigm are stagnant and old. Poor tobi........watch what you wish for. And more importantly.....cover your ass. When the day comes you return to Argentina........you will be in for a rude awakening.

    Rude awakening of what? The only narrow minded and pathetic twat is you, who thinks “money and opulence” are the sole key to happiness in living. If you go back to Argentina and feel a “rude awakening” because we are poorer than the rest of the world, that is YOUR PROBLEM, not ours. You are the epidermal, Philistine, benighted northern cranimal who only cares about displays of wealth and economic statistics.

    Fortunately there is far more to life than that, in fact 99% of it, but you EUian and NorthAmoans will never know in your miserable short existences on this planet what I'm talking about.

    And when you die, all that fortune gets used by someone else as you slowly rot in a box. Having never lived real life beyond working all day, buying incessantly material “confrorts”, and waking up one day in your 60s having no life joy to speak of.

    That is the northern way. A pitiful existence only slightly bested by the living of earth worms.

    That is priceless......you telling me I that I am not happy nor self confident or self sufficient. You need to go back to that cave in whatever Canadian providence you were relocated to and work on your self control.

    I have to chuckle at your posts, more so when you lose it. Go back to Argentina for a visit........I will even buy your ticket.......rt is around 1400 from Logan. Can you get a passport or are you in Canada illegally and sucking off their generosity?

    My kids are much maturer than you and all have undergrad degrees from Umass, Amherst and Columbia. One is a grad and post grad. Having things is not the be all........but being self sufficient and the ability to do as you please and get whatever it is you need is a lot. And........I am confident my daughter can buy tampons not only when she needs to, but whenever she wants to.

    I've been to Argentina enough to know that you are clueless about the country you are originally from. I also know that you are NOTHING like the people there. I feel for them and say to you......your anger is your demise.

    I've a football party to ready for tobi. I suggest that you divulge where you reside and gain some credibility for you are entertaining us all on this stage you've made. Everything you lack is life is you own doings.....no one else. I do not feel for you but I do for Argentine's.

    Funny thing about tobi is he is so disgusted with his former country that he takes snippets of bad news from other countries and extrapolates it into something it is not. What he can't comprehend is that what is bad in the USA is anomalous and what is bad in Argentina is pervasive.

    It is amazing that the only countries slowly disintegrating economically, politically and socially are places like Argentina and her besties Venezuela and Russia.

    Whereas the US, UK, Australia etc are doing very well.

    While I'm in Mexico at the moment, as far as I'm aware there aren't any food shortages in these countries. No sky high inflation. No negative growth. And all with lower murder rates than Argentina.

    The poor Mexicans who come to the USA as workers......one thing I can honestly say about them is that they are hard assed workers. No hand outs for them. A lot of small farms hire them and I have yet to see such hard workers. Something I can't say about PR's and a lot of RG's.......the kirchnerite and peronist RG's.
