and the islets plus bolivia...what a combination...
now, for you ignorant bennys, the rally is basically an argentinian competition, it barely touches chile and bolivia.
most of its route, and its start and finish are on argentinian soil, of course.
do you have something similar in the islets?
lol
No thanks.

You will be able to take the Mickey out of that. Your foul mouthed rants just make you sound like something found in the toilet.

Mar 01st, 2015 - 11:11 am - Link - Report abuse 0NO food worth eating in the hotels;
NO hotels worth going to;
Motochorros chasing you everywhere just for your mochilla;
BIG holes in the pavements (drain covers stolen for metal price);
At least SOME of the women are good looking.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
The Falkland Islanders have done a great job looking after the environment and are now reaping the rewards. Shame the same cannot be said of the Galápagos Islands which have been ruined by pollution and weak stewardship.

me neither.
now, according to a beautiful english girl who deserves my complete confidence, it is a piece of shite (her words, not mine).
they do not even have a decent 5 star hotel.
just bed and breakfast and some sort of 1/2 star hostels...yuck.
they do not deserve the visit of someone as distinguished as me.

NEVER underestimate how much that is worth.
@1, 10. 'Argie soil'? You mean argie nightsoil. The Falklands know about argie nightsoil. Curious thing. Argies wanted to present themselves as 'liberators'. So they filled Falklands baths, toilets, furniture, beds with argie 'nightsoil'. Why do Falkland Islanders and Brits think of argies as shit? Ever heard of 'modesty'? Caught short? Run into the Post Office and shit on the floor. How terribly civilised! If there is shite, who put it there? Wouldn't that be you scum?
Mar 01st, 2015 - 05:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0i know you islanders do not like sports, except killing penguins, but that is a crime, you cretins.

Paulie- and why should the Irish beating England at Rugby be bad news in the Falklands?
Mar 01st, 2015 - 08:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You thick little Arse- on the Islands there are Welsh -Scottish-Irish and even English rugby supporters.- all national teams are part of the 6 nations with France and Italy - you are so thick that you do not realise that in European Rugby there is no such think as a UK or GB team!
You probably cannot even understand that the Irish team is indeed Irish- the whole of the island - as it comprises players from both Northern Ireland and the Irish republic.
Poor little ignorant chap. Several Irish flags flying around Stanley this afternoon - that does not mean we are not British - but its to much for your little brain to understand!
these argies are so desperate, that they will search all day for anti British news,
Mar 01st, 2015 - 08:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0probably because their brain knows no better.

Mar 01st, 2015 - 08:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You are quite right - my mistake.
I mistook one cheating, childish SA for another.
Still, I know enough about Sport that ARGENTINA, in sport as in life, entrusted with SA Pride, fell short to the EU and Germany!!
Pablo,
What does a Rugby match between England and Ireland have to do with the Falklsnds????
Oh, right - you were reaching desperately for something negative and anti-Brit.
Sucks to be you, Sr. 3rd World

Mar 01st, 2015 - 10:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0you are so thick that you do not realise that in European Rugby there is no such think as a UK or GB team!
no you idiot. there is not a gb team playing in the 6 nations.
now, what the fuck are the lions, if not a british + irish team, eh?
and yes, they have played in europe, against Los Pumas.
25-25, not that bad for a 3rd world country, eh?
You probably cannot even understand that the Irish team is indeed Irish- the whole of the island - as it comprises players from both Northern Ireland and the Irish republic
wow. great news, you genius...LOL
like in the real life, they are 1 island, 1 nation, you twat.
it is you who think the opposite.
anyway, what can you know about rugby?
how many teams do you have in the islet?
LOL

you dont know a shite about sports or about anything.
you would do a great service to mankind if you shut your ass up.

Mar 01st, 2015 - 10:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0In rugby yes, in football NO.
In real life they are two separate countries with a border running between them.
If you don't believe then check the Irish govt.website.
28 counties and 3 cities*; Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Cork*, Donegal, Dublin*, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, Galway, Galway*, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, South Dublin, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow.
All under the sovereign control of the govt. of the Republic of Ireland.
I don't see Antrim; Armagh; Down; Fermanagh; Londonderry; and Tyrone.in this list.
The Irish government agreed to drop its territorial claim to Northern Ireland, previously described in articles 2 and 3 of the Constitution of Ireland.
What more proof do you need ?
Sorry if this does not meet with your imaginary version of life, but you don't seem to like the truth when it is presented to you.
What has all this rugby got to do with Ramblers,
Mar 01st, 2015 - 10:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0we know you argies ramble on all the time...lol
Pauline, for a start Islander1 was talking about 6 nations, secondly, the B & I lions historically have played southern hemisphere nations as part of a tour every 4 years.
Mar 01st, 2015 - 11:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0They have on 2 occasions I remember played France and The Rest of Europe '89 & '90 as part of Bicentennial celebrations and as a charity match. So officially they do not play as part of the European Rugby calendar i.e. The 6 Nations, they may well have played in Europe, but that is not the meaning of Islanders words. Your argument is pedantic and like usual, you have twisted semantics to fuel a puerile argument.

meanwhile, it is always good to see The Falkland Islands attractting more eco-friendly tourists.

Hey, Pabs, what is this???
Nothin' to do with The Ramblers or the Falklands !!
Are you so stupid that you have to resort to kiddie taunts , ha ha, your team lost at sports...
WTF ?/ Are you 12??
Too bad you guys literally dropped the ball in the biggest and most expen$ive sporting event in SA, in 2014!!
All your puffery and arrogance, a dirty game, and still, you let an EU team win !!
You just weren't up to it, were you??
And Brazil paid $billions to put it on, too.
I bet Dilma was happy to see your cheery fans running through the streets in Brazil - Yay, look at us, we brought SA in Second!!
You idiot !! You brought up an unrelated subject, just because you wanted to find a way to be miserable - and you've embarrassed yourself !!
It seems your Rugby knowledge is a little lacking - when do you finish school, again?? Will you ever??

I shan't name him as his identity
is as privileged as that of Pablo's English girl.
Can they really qualify as having learnt anything?? I suppose they know everything already, anyway?
Paulie- once again your ignorance has dropped you in the shite eh! Thanks to those who understood my point - I did not want to confuse the poor boy by even mentioning the British Lions as I know it was all above his brain cell.

so, you can start with something that the real world gives a shite, like this pelotudez of ramblings worldwide, and finish with something more interesting like the 6N.
most of all when england lost vs Ireland by 10.
again, nobody expects that a group of brainless isleters know a shite about rugby or sports in general.
or about anything.
useless toy is a good example of that.
so, instead of thanking me for educating you, your response is insults and stuff.
ungrateful ignoramuses you are.

Mar 03rd, 2015 - 12:44 am - Link - Report abuse 0my to do list is:

visiting the opera house.
visiting the most remarkable buildings, most of all the rationalists and brutalists.
visiting the museum of modern art.
attending the clásico of the islets, the equivalent of a river- boca.
going to one of the famous ski resorts.

I think the Malvina hotel might be a four star.... at a push, but it's good enough. You could visit Sea Lion Island, the battlefields of '82, the British and Argentine war memorials and graves, Volunteers Point if you want to see King Penguins or various other places if you like bird watching. Hell you could even go to the museum, but like you mentioned before it's not to the standard of the Louvre, but you have never been to the Louvre so not sure how you would compare the two.
