I wish I shared all the unbridled enthusiasm shown here.

    However, what does:
“Our links with Latin America have never been in better shape, with a 36% rise in trade and investment” mean? Simple question, can't find the answer as easily.

Percentages used by politicians are invariably deceptive if not downright lies (INDEC) because they have no frame of monetary reference. Is it 36% of GBP 1 M (GBP 360,00) which is peanuts or what. WE DON'T KNOW and are not told by the article.

It may even be one way, into the UK with nothing in return: think of China and the damage done to the UK trading, never mind the crap quality of most Chinese products.

No, I will wait for sense AND THE FACTS to prevail.

    @3
    Very profound!

There is a story here actually, what its says is that these countries tell Argentina one thing, then in pragmatic terms do the exact opposite.

what this asshole (all due respect) swire seems to not understand is that the uk represents nothing to latin america.
it seems this asshole (all due respect) forgot that latin america is a sub continent with countries like mexico, brazil an argentina, to name a few, and the uk is a swampy little island.

you want to talk about trade and investment?
then lets talk about china, russia, the u.s., germany, japan, corea and not about a criminal ex empire stuck in the 1800´s.

    got it?

@8 Shut up. You are not a pilot, a surfer or an architect. You are a massive loser and a complete ignoramus with no knowledge of the outside world. Your whole world is the slum you were born and currently live in, so please limit your opinions to slums and rat stew, or whatever you call food.

Also stop pretending to be Argentine, I have it on good authority that you are actually Peruvian.

    Idiot child/mamarracho/payaso/paulcedron

You clearly have been referring to some out of date statistics. Get your head around the fact that your meandering mind is playing tricks on itself - you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Or is that institution where you are confined not doing its job?

Latin America is NOT a sub-continent.

Why? Well my lack of an ARGENTINEAN education tells me so.

Latin America is delineated by ethnic-linguistic and cultural boundaries.

Post all the links you want. It won't change your lack of education or the fact that there is no sub-continent of Latin Americans in the Americas.

However as the prefix 'sub' means less or is a diminutive, then please continue to use it freely. Australia is an actual continent and the only one inhabited by one nation. So Australia is therefore a continent and Latin America is a SUB-continent. Such a shame you are less than Australia
