Wages are stagnant and the jobs growth is in the insecure, low skilled , low paid service sector such as waiters and burger flippers, but it does makes the Labor department figures look great.

At least those low skilled workers have jobs and aren't sponging off society.

    Meanwhile in Argentina...

@1. Except that you didn't read the bit about where the jobs are. Do tell us about the 'burger flippers' in health care. How about the 'waiters' in warehousing? I wonder why you don't feel happy for 295,000 people who now have a job? We'd all feel happy for argies if CFK broke her neck and the rest of the so-called 'government' was stricken with swine flu.

1/4. Your jealousy is showing. Obviously if the USA is creating “low wage” jobs we need them. Somebody's got to flip burgers don't they?

    Silly fool.

Yeah its so funny that I wen round and round with these Kidiots a year or two ago and told them how this would roll out.
Now nary a peep out of them.

The strengthening dollar and China's collapse will put Argentina/Brazil/Venezuela into a long long long depression.

    I couldn't be happier.

Nothing but lies -- the government figures are calculated on a fraudulent basis that excludes unemployed people for whom they claim there are no jobs (which should be a major part of the definition of unemployment), and those who they claim are no longer looking for work. The percentage of healthy, working-age people who have jobs is lower than it's been since the 1970s, which means that real unemployment is nearer to 15%, than 5%. Also, they neglect to count the number of jobs that have been eliminated, while greatly inflating the number that have been created. All governments lie to project a favorable image of themselves -- the present US administration, more than most.

and just to be specific, I am not arguing that the jobs number is perfect, it isn't. But when you are explaining a metric you need to be clear that the number has been generated the same way for yrs and yrs. That differentiates the US job number from one like Argentina that is pulled from their ass.

What is a total lie is this quote “ The percentage of healthy, working-age people who have jobs is lower than it's been since the 1970s, which means that real unemployment is nearer to 15%, than 5%.”

Bisley you need to stop consuming the narcotics you deal in Argentina. I must say your jealousy is comical.

All you socialist commies are alike. BTW, you RG's should take a lesson when murdering political opposition from Russia. Now they know how to do it....they even have a perpetrator in a weeks time. Meanwhile, bal at the ranch......Tinman is jerking off and Kirchner is riding the doorknob.........

    Argentina.....ranking...107 out of 174

    Unites States of America.....17 0ut of 174

It's a well accepted organization, except by the most corrupt. Try again Stevie.

It's everywhere only slowed a little because of the winter. We need roads and parking. I sure hope we do not get the olympics.....it will be unbearable. I would hate to see Gillette turned into a venue. Let the 3rd world's have the olympics.

In other words, the unemployment rate dropped because the labor force shrunk.

If the economy was in recovery, the labor force would be growing and the labor force participation rate would be rising.

The 295,000 claimed new jobs are highly suspect. For example, the report claims 32,000 new retail jobs, but the Census Bureau reports that retail sales declined in December and January. Why would retailers experiencing declining sales hire more employees?
Construction spending declined 1.1% in January, but the payroll jobs report says 29,000 construction jobs were added in February. All of the goods producing jobs are accounted for by the 29,000 claimed construction jobs. The remaining 259,000 new jobs–90%–of the total–are service sector jobs. Three categories account for 70% of these jobs. Wholesale and retail trade, transportation and utilities account for 62,000 of the jobs. Education and health services account for 54,000 of which ambulatory health care services accounts for 19,900. Leisure and hospitality account for 66,000 jobs of which waitresses and bartenders account for 58,700 jobs.

These are the domestic service jobs of a third world country.

There are many things that will always be highly suspect to the likes of your kind, but who really cares what you think? US Congress, US citizens, US businesses?
If they are shit jobs, it's no hair off my ass. These ill educated people need work too. What type of jobs are you expecting the USA to create?
When you talk construction spending is that private spending or government? You see the American trick is that government tends to spend a lot on construction and civil projects near and in election years. I could be wrong, but again......who cares what you think. Your jealousy is quite transparent.
BTW....the Jan 2015 construction figures I see is 971,384 (in millions) compared to Jan 2014 of 954,642 and 982,023 from Dec 2014....your quoted decline month to month and not year on year. Have you been in the USA this past winter? Have you seen Boston alone never mind the northeast? What construction do you see growing in this winter weather? Do you know how many projects are behind in Boston alone because of the weather? I would expect February to increase and March to increase even more now that 40 degree days are here. The more I look as I type I realize you are looking month to month and not year on year. For real???? Trend are not seen month to month. Report for us on February's is you must do month to month.
If the USA is a 3rd world nation, 1st and 2nd no longer exist and it doesn't say much for the rest of the world. Stick with the winners like Russia, Venezuela and China....and let's not forget Argentina.......put your pesos there, you will be fine. Perhaps you do not understand you will not see figures like 25% growth of the likes in South American because we do not experience 40% to 60% inflation rates. South American economies are like a roller coaster and the USA and Europe's are more like a merry go round.

Boludine, keep working on your economic dissertation and let me know when it is published.

There is no sign in the payroll jobs report of the large lay-offs by IBM and Hewlett Packard.
Zero Hedge reports that the decline in the oil price has resulted in almost 40,000 laid off workers during January and February, but the payroll jobs report only finds 2,900 lost jobs in oil for the two months. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-03-06/did-bls-once-again-forget-count-tens-thousands-energy-job-losses

If you wish or care about being taken seriously, start off by quoting and referring sources that are not conspiratorial, anti government, anti establishment and anarchy leaning. You will not find confidence in a blog that proclaims to be a pessimistic view of.....everything!

If one takes snippets and bases major overall opinions from that, your thoughts and opinions have not yet even grown and developed to a sophomoric level yet.

Or do you believe everything the Obama Admin says ? they are no different to any government, they manipulate and massage the data for public consumption Try asking the millions of americans who are lucky enough to have found a part time job or now hold down 2 jobs to make ends meet. Why would I bother to paint a rosy picture for you or any douche bag on this site? I was surprised by the participation rate as I genuinely see things booming here. Cambridge home to many biotech companies is building on seemingly every corner. The seaport is popping up towers at an alarming rate and everyone I speak to feels good about the direction of things. My niece is being heavily recruited right out of college and anyone that wants to work can. Having said that I know the stats are country wide and sometimes things aren't as rosy down south/other parts of the country. Either way it does seems like SA and the states are headed in two polar opposite directions.
