@3. Ever heard the word 'deterrence'? The UK has a number of nuclear warheads. We hope never to deploy them. Although there are number of countries that would be much improved if we did. Worth bearing in mind that the armed forces of Iran are 2.5 times as big, Egypt's are twice the size, Iraq's are slightly larger.
This begs the question; 'What, exactly, is the KSA planning on doing with all this kit?'.
Surely it can't only be a deterrent, or merely 'toys for the boys' *, can it?

* deliberate choice of phrase, as women still aren't permitted to drive in the KSA... The 'reason' given by the authorities is that it would 'decrease virginity' and increase homosexuality'. Just a side-note, so we all know the type of people the West is selling weapons to....

I actually restrained from referencing your good-self in my secondary comment @5.
I thought it might be a little déclassé, a too obvious adjunct, and distract from my actual comment, tempted as I was.
Nevermind, you didn't let me down, and bit on the the doggy-chew offered.
Nice to know that I still have the 'upper-hand'. Not that I was ever concerned, just curious if you would bite....
:-)
I'm sure that I will find the time to throw you another bone, pet-doggy dear, when, of course my diary permits me, to indulge in such minor fancies...
Get b ack to your cave, ol' bear ....
lol!
;-)
The Saudis have a hatred of Iran AND a fear of them.
The old religion thing again, Saudis are Sunnis and Iranians are Shi'ites - never the twain shall meet.
A bit of an arms race from which arms suppliers can profit.

Says something about 'backbone' or the lack of it in their armies.

A sadly weak, and somewhat obvious comment from you.
Do try harder. Park/Drive doesn't really do it for most of us..... A little more effort is normally required to reach 'Top Gear' ...
