FIFA has ended more than four years of uncertainty over the timing of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar by announcing that it would be played in November and December with the final on December 18. It also anticipated that it will release funds to clubs for release of players. Read full article

What a total “old farts club” farce. I hope the great majority of western European players and their clubs simply refuse to attend.

This was a scam from beginning to the (now apparent) end. Too many people in power 'feathering their nests'. Now we have this stupid 'compromise'.
It was a ridiculous idea from the outset.
This will only harm football in general.

However, on a more positive note, womens team, such as Arsenal Ladies, go from strength to strength.

Maybe, eventually, this will lend a new angle to how football might progress?
How will the Arabs deal with that, one might ask?

I would like to open a debate about the increasing role of women in football/soccer. Especially considering so many Arab States wish to be involvved, (cash-in), on the game. Considering that women in Saudi Arabia are forbidden from driving cars, what would happen if they dared to play football, whilst exposing their sexy, naked, provactive, curvaceous, sin-inducing, morally-corrupting, knee-caps?
Personally speaking, I get all weak at the mere sight of a shaven knee-cap, male or female, and feel the need, (knead?), to speak to a priest/iman/shaman, to confess my sinfull thoughts...

But, then again, I never did find God. lol!

arrogant guy saying that “Western” clubs should boycott the World Cup. you forgot that the European clubs are formed of players from several continents. the European clubs “Westerners” don't survive only with the players own continent. If you are not, will do little lack. and another, I prefer the Cup in qatar than in England. Because England's ability to win a World Cup stealing indoors. as happened the last time. It is tradition in sports that us suck English themselves created hahahahaha...
