Brazilian authorities on Thursday said they uncovered a tax fraud scheme at the Finance Ministry's tax appeals board that may have cost taxpayers up to 19 billion Reais (5.96 billion dollars). Read full article
“It further clouds the atmosphere,” said a Finance Ministry official who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter. “Our only alternative is to crack down on corruption.”
He then went on to say If the atmosphere hadn't been so cloudy, the corruption would have been okay. Trouble is that the clouds keep clearing briefly and all we can see is Lulu, Dilma and piles of cash.
This is a positive, it shows at least someone is honest enough to expose the corruption. This would never happen in Arg. where everyone top down has their hand in the mix... Good for Brazil.
It is a good thing these corruptions are coming to light. Everyone knows Brazil is corrupt. Maybe now something will be done about it.
We'll have to wait and see if the top of the top is eventually put on trial and ends up in jail to know if it really took hold.
I'm not holding my breath.
Anyone know if the SEC has started investigations yet? Those will be telling.
How long will it take for you to understand that Lula is not a person? Lula is a religion, a god of politics that captivates Greeks and Trojans. Lula is not a person, Lula is the soul of Brazil!
@10
Thank you for showing us all very clearly why the majority of the PT support are superstitious ignorant fools who can be manipulated and exploited by anyone who managed to get through high school.
PS. Anyone know any Trojans? Especially ones captivated by Lula?
(I know there is a joke in there somewhere, I just can't bring myself to. ... Urgh! no. Stop it!)
@10 You are right numbnuts.......Lulu does not belong to any recongnizable race, therefore he is NOT human...he is just a piece of shite, which only the most ignorant, stupidest portion of the Brazilian population still idolizes.......when the piece of shite disappears, all you idiots will disappear along with it.
Brazzo burro : Caso não saiba , last poll = only 13% of the population support Dilma, and the a/m piece of shite.
Getting back on track , The cases under investigation came before the board between 2005 and 2013, well before current Finance Minister Joaquim Levy took office...
No surprise.... shit always existed, but the real shit started after Lula became president.......corruption schemes prospered in all public agencies, or anywhere public funds were manipulated and were largely incentivated by Lulu, through his closest aides Jose Dirceu & gang , provided his Party got a cut.
@11 the only Trojans I know are are those rubber ones.....looks like somewhere along the line, Brasileiro was born only because his father's Trojan had a hole in it....he must 've been an accident.....should have given him the unwanted kitten treatment.....which I don't agree wit, but in the Brazzo's case, I'll make an exception.
@14 Skip
Lula is a religion ?......Incredible, isn't it ?
Lula is just an ignorant northeasterner who managed to fool and manipulate enough people to get himself into power....the bigoted idiots that see him as a God, are probably only those that make up the 13% that still support Dilma and believe she's doing a fantastic job. They aren't worth their weight in shit.

Mar 31st, 2015 - 06:04 am - Link - Report abuse 0Wow what a backward country. Our politicians are just that, politicians.
Nothing mystical or magically or really that special. They come and they go.
And thankfully power oscillates between the major parties otherwise we would probably have the corruption and poverty that challenges Brazil.
