The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB, seen as a challenge to existing institutions the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, has drawn a cool response from the United States, despite which European U.S. allies including Britain, France, Germany and Italy have already announced they would join the bank. Seems Taiwan got denied for “avoiding the discussions of two Chinas”, and that Japan got the deadline removed for dubious reasons.

Argentina and Belgium are the only two I have no further info on. Well, Portugal as well, but they aren't big fishes in these waters...

Argentina isn't a big fish in Chinese foreign affairs?
Guys, we can disagree all we want, but lets not lie to ourselves... Argentina can play a massive role in the project of feeding that giant. I'd think Argentina would sign up long time ago, railroads in SA is great for.... China....

As is the deep water port...

The USA was offered a membership and it declined. This is a rival to the ADB and it will be smaller and take decades to ramp up.
I am sure all of you idiots remember the Bank of the South that was supposed to rival IDB and it was never capitalized.
Who knows where it will end up could be the same outcome as that disaster.

The “use to be Argentine” probably does not understand exactly why the USA objects, or “pouts” in his words. Being a parasitic, yet hypocritical leech I would expect as much.

The competition will be good......it tends to make for better service. My only wonder is how long will it be before Argentina is knocking on the door with their hands out?

Argentina will do whatever China commands, because Cristina has already sold the grand-childrens inheritance.
Remember, not all of the deals she made are public knowledge yet.
Why the secrecy? It is not her money, it is the future of Argentina that she has sold in order to cling on to power, and no doubt to secure her own personal wealth.

    On another note,
    @7 yankeeboy
“ Bank of the South that was supposed to rival IDB and it was never capitalized.”

Don't get me started! I could rant for hours about that foolish dream of Chavez that was never realised.
What did happen to the US$ billions he promised?
Because they disappeared from the Vnzla Govt bank balance, appeared briefly in the nascent 'Bank of the South', (which never actually existed in any proper shape), and then, (mysteriously!), vanished....
On paper the Bank of the South still exists, but the electronic trail of the actual CASH seems to have gone cold...
Did it ever exist? Or is it somewhere else?
I suspect the vnzlans got robbed one more time.
Lets face it. In the last 15 years Vnzla enjoyed $800 billion in oil sales, but must go begging to China for loans NOW.
    So what happened?
Go Figure! (as you might say!)

I am disgusted with these people that claim to work in the interests of 'the people'.

It is suckers like Brasileiro that let this happen.

NorthAmoland and their behavior towards all of this:

If it walks to a corner like a sulking little girl that was left for the “new prettier neighborhood girl”... if it stares like a sulking little girl that was left for the “new prettier neighborhood girl”... if it pouts like a sulking little girl that was left for the “new prettier neighborhood girl”... and if it sulks like a sulking little girl that was left for the “new prettier neighborhood girl”...

Then it must be the USA, sulking as everyone does what is obvious and inevitable: go where the future is, and leave the yesterday's girl to keep on declining.

Must be hard to be the USA these days. No one likes them, no one wants them.

Superior??? The NorthAmoans? hahahaha, don't make me laugh.

What's next? You saying EUians are superior too? Because you “protect” the innocent better than argies?

Really? Interesting tid-bit I just read:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_wildcat

The European wildcat (Latin: Felis silvestris silvestris) is a subspecies of the wildcat that inhabits European forests.... “ has been extirpated in England and Wales. Numbers in Scotland are critically low.[2]”

Anglo love and compassion yet again, right!?

    And this bit:

“In most European countries, European wildcats have become rare. Although legally protected, they are still shot by people mistaking them for feral cats, specially in Germany and central Europe. In the Scottish Highlands, where approximately 400 were thought to remain in the wild in 2004, interbreeding with feral cats is a significant threat to the wild population's distinctiveness.[9] The greatest population of wildcats lives in Spain and Portugal but is threatened by interbreeding with feral cats and loss of habitat.[10][11] In the 1990s, the easternmost population in Ukraine, Moldova, and the Caucasus was threatened by destruction of broad-leaved forests, entailing a reduction of their range. Only small numbers occur in protected areas”

Ahh... EUian vanguard in protecting species once again so obviously superior to Argieland!!

EUians and Anglos have no environmental concern whatsoever. Argentina is LIGHT years ahead.

    You equate cats with Argentinians/yourself?

    Really? You are that crazy?

    Okay, you wanna go there?

Fine! Let's look at your link...
You forgot to mention the good work the Brits are doing to re-establish this breed.
    Quote; (from same article, no-less),
”In July 2014, the Wildcat Haven project announced the successful neutering of feral and hybrid cats across 250 sq mi (650 km2) of the West Highlands, creating a protected zone for the Scottish wildcat.“

    hmm...
” Creating a protected zone for the Scottish wildcat“.

That might be the ”Anglo love and compassion yet again, right!? ”
    in action.

Shame you didn't read the whole article. Just googled some shit. This is why you always fail.
    Lack of depth.

Snotty Nostrils (TOBY) is decrying the lax attitude of the Europeans and British, etc.

    One has to ask why??

    Is this an Argentine issue??

Are they superior in some way??

Certainly, Snotty gives no reference to that - they are of European heritage afterall.

And we know Snotty says he is NOT European.

By elimination, after denouncing all races, and the Muslim religion, SNOTTY has only left the people of the Middle East - his own heritage, JEWISH.

What have the Israelis done about saving endangered species, and Wild Cats in particular?? What have the JEWS done about that, Snotty??

More to the point, how do you reconcile the actions of Timmerman, who endangers the freedoms and lives of other JEWS, by conspiring with Iranian Muslims to cover up their murder at the AMIA??

Not only did Timmerman betray your fellow Jews, but your fellow Argentinians, also!!!

@25 How is timmerman a traitor to israel for his Iran deals? It is no favor to iran to do deals with a failed state. If you're right...then let's all go to Buenos Aires now. Let's buy businesses and put a lot of effort in to benefit from this new Iran trade. Kiciloff really did Iran a favor...not really. Clinton's ambassador at the time said the iran theory was sketchy. So this fiction you produce I would say is true if Argentina was a use to anyone, the Chinese, iranians etc. thanks to the Kirchners. More argentines would rather make fun of Chinese. Cristina's deals will stick...BS. She's a traitor to her jewish heritage also. Same with Dilma Rousseff. Argentina has a very huge and prominent jewish community not bowing down to israel. It's timmernan's job to make that look like the most corrupt mentality because that's who he pretends to be. CFK is a mossad president.

...In July 2014, the Wildcat Haven project announced the successful neutering of feral and hybrid cats across 250 sq mi (650 km2) of the West Highlands, creating a protected zone for the Scottish wildcat.

Also the problem with cats is they are all technically feral, including the domesticated ones...and they all like to go out at night....
...and them big wildcats...being big, don't take no for an answer, but not being particularly clever breed themselves out of existence....

ps....I seen quite a few...often get mistaken for foxes...about the same size...

    You're a bit confused.

    Israel?

Timmerman has covered up the murder of Argentine Jews - targeted by Iranians for being JEWISH, in the state of Argentina.

Double betrayal- fellow Jews, and fellow Argentinians- for what???

    Money???

Maybe Nisman's report had the answers.

This Iranian going after Argentine Jews theory....is there a real reason why? There's jews living in Iran and Argentina not on board with Israel. Dilma and Kirchnerism are installations by powers designed to keep China in check. That's why CFK while engineering disaster raves about the Chinese future and putting a base in Argentina.

They betray argentines because they never were part of the fascist football team political spectrum. Evita, Isaebel, Videla, all antijewish. Timerman and Kiciloff...no favors to Argentina and anyone who signs deals with them. Theyre leaving behind poverty without comparison while raving about the works of Peron and the Patria. Timerman's family was attacked and exiled 2 times for being Jewish Marxists...Cristina had a single mother and a stepfather..her mother Ofelia Esther Wilhelm is jewish. I'm not the confused one if you are willing to look at everything wrong with Argentina, ignore the nazi history, and blame Iran for the direction of Kirchner, Kiciloff, and Timerman.

I have tried and tried but cannot find any support for those ludicrous numbers.

BDS was announced by two dead men and a bunch of crooks in 2009, initiated in Carracas of all places in 2013 with the original promise of 7 Bn dollars (NOT 20 Bn latterly promised) STOP PRESS:

This announcement was in error!!!! On 27th March 2015 (EIGHT days ago):-
”The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, met today in the city of Cochabamba (center) with Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, to coordinate the opening date of the operations of Banco del Sur.“
”We're almost ready to start with the Banco del Sur and have sought a suitable date for holding meetings presidents and proceed to the opening of the South Bank,” said Ecuadorian Foreign Minister.
OMG, IT STILL ISN'T OPERATIONAL (it has only been six years).

The missive went on to state:
“Patiño said the bank will begin operations with capital of between 6000-8000 million, while ”the idea is that you can get to have 20,000 million.“

BUT, there's always a but with the children who ”rule“ SA, isn't there?

”He added that the agency is expected to be “one of the most important development banks” in the region and said his openness “will be one of the best news of this year.”

    SO!

    No accounts raised yet after SIX years;
    No loans issued;

Nor have you ever had trillions in GDP's either.......or democracy or free markets. When it happens....please.....let me know. And while you may think I am a decent person, there is no need to worry about me....I can assume you of that. I'm curious Stevie.....just how much (as a communist/socialist) do you understand about competition? You seem to like it in lending for countries but not in business in South America, why is that? At any rate, with the China what......5 times the size of the USA, my 1st question is why China had not overcome the USA sooner? Will the world decide of the Yuan as a currency of choice......immediately yes from the deadbeat nations....you know....in South America. Unlikely to the rest of the world with the Yuan being market priced on supply and demand.

    http://financesonline.com/4-reasons-why-yuan-wont-replace-dollar-as-reserve-currency/

I could be wrong and it would not be the first time. I've been wrong in the past and it cost lives......fortunately not Americans with me. And I am positive it will not be my last time. I fear not admitting when I am wrong and make mistakes......unlike most everyone here. But am I worried? You seem to have that answered for me.

All I know about competition is that it's always second to cooperation.
