Argentina has been sued in a US district court in New York in connection with its nationalization of oil giant YPF in 2012, according to court documents. The plaintiffs are two Spanish firms, and they are represented by a US law firm Burford Capital. Read full article

Not racist. At no time did he state that he was superior in any manner to another poster due to his race. Typical Argentinean education that loudly proclaims things without understanding their meaning.

Stating that one language is worthless compared to another is indeed a racist statement. Just because you can't tell because you have the same frame of mind (the Anglo frame of mind), is not my problem.

For according to our resident genius (albeit more than likely measured using the Argentinean education system) you managed to say..... and I quote.... ...that one language is worthless compared to another..
Without using any comparison words. Or actually mentioning another language.
You are indeed amazing and I can see why Nostrils devoted so much time to such a genius.

Apr 12th, 2015 - 03:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@7. Typical sub-human!
@12. English is the world's first global language. The 'next' language is French. 12%. Want to figure where 'gibberish' comes? Third. If anyone feels kind. Mind you, Mandarin might be better. Would 'less worth' be better for you? Just to cater to your gibberoid tendencies.
@14. 'Scofflaw'? Failing to appear as a potential witness to an alleged incident? But you're talking about argie 'law'. Do you accept English law, American law, Canadian law? Can we prosecute your animal 'veterans' for attempting to assault British citizens? For damaging British property. Can we prosecute innumerable argies for breaching international laws and the UN Charter? Can we indict the argie 'government' for its many provable lies? Can we take them and incarcerate them in somewhere like Wormwood Scrubs so that they can understand that they are criminals?
Typical argie scum, thinking it always has to be right. What's your problem? History? Argie occupation of the Falkland Islands in the 19th century amounted to 5 illegal weeks. Compared to 142 YEARS of legal British presence. A legal presence that defeated spain. Followed by another 150 YEARS of legal British presence. And, in 1982, all that ended. Because 1982 marked the application of a different legal principle. Already confirmed by the International Court of Justice.
Where's the argie war reparations? Let's call it £100 billion. Payment for mine clearance? Another £100 billion. 30 YEARS of harassment? £200 billion. 30 years of threats? £100 billion. Pay for 33 years of harm, bastard!

Apr 12th, 2015 - 07:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentines know outside interests will keep trying to milk the country for any shred of wealth that's available to their rapacity. Argentines are used to it. It has always happened.
Only, most previous governments easily gave up, paid up what was asked and apologized on top of it. Of course, it was more productive for Argentine officials to associate with outside powers and then divvy up the bounty than dig their heels in defending the national interest.
Argentines know the difference and that is why most of them keep supporting a different sort of government--a government that does not cave in to rapacious outsiders--such as the current one.
Enrique
Apr 12th, 2015 - 10:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Unfortunately history does not bear out your theories. If Argentina has been continually raped by outsiders, why have you not learnt?
I mean honestly you have gone from a standard of living and wealth that exceed Australia and the the US on some measures to not even being in the same league.
Rape that is so obvious and blatant and seemingly only afflicts Argentina. I mean, there is a long list of countries such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Chile.... that seem to have easily evaded this from much weaker positions (economically, militarily and politically).
But there is something unique with Argentinean society it would seem that it is the only country afflicted with this condition. The only country in the world that has consistently and thoroughly destroyed its own wealth over the past 70 years.
If (as Nostrils' Argentinean education surmises) decline of all nations is inevitable, then why is it only afflicting ONE nation?
The fact that you spend so much time worrying about a small set of islands off your coast instead of critically examining why your country is continually declining may be part of the answer.
26. I used to have the same arguments with Think and Toby. I concluded that Rgs are just not smart enough to adapt to the way the USA does business, they must sign bad contracts and somehow get screwed.

Apr 13th, 2015 - 01:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0Enrique seems to believe that only Argentina faced adversities like destructive communist/Socislist political activists in the 70's, then beset with a Military Dictatorship for years, before returning to a form of Democracy.
Actually Chilé went through the same, and have done very well in comparison to Argentina!
27 Yankeeboy,
As much as I like it when you slap around the idiot Trolls, it is completely unacceptable to ridicule the ordinary families of Venzla who are going through a living hell of oppression, violence, and fear.
It is something totally beyond their control now.
One only hopes the Argentines see it and stop the vile rapacious Peronists and K's before that becomes their fate, too.
See, the bottom line is that the Anglos hate Argentina because we refuse to imitate or worship them. Therefore, they want Argentina to fail because if we did succeed by NOT imitating them it would then hurt their precious verves that a country that does not follow they divinely ordained Anglo-saxon way succeeds.

In fact, Argentina did learn. That is why it elected Néstor and then Cristina.
And because she was elected to represent the country (not the U.S., the U.K. or any other country) this is exactly what she's doing, which explains her high rates of approval just a few months before her second term's end.

Enrique,
Her high approval rating, if it really exists, is due to staged propaganda events and controlled news stories - Clarine is routinely discredited, officially.
CFK is fighting for the recovery of the Malvinas
CFK is fighting the Vultures on behalf of the people.
CFK is fighting to prevent the threat of miltarisation

None of it is true, Enrique.

Apr 14th, 2015 - 10:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I mean we have been for most our history, more remote from major powers and trade opportunities, less populated and less economically diverse. One of our neighbours was numerically stronger Muslim dictatorship. And we lost a large part of our manpower fighting in two world wars.
And yet Argentina, without any of these problems, went from being richer and more powerful than us to not even in the same league.
Rgs think the stolen money from their corrupted Pols is somehow the fault of the USA/UK.
Apr 15th, 2015 - 12:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0There's a reason why it costs 7X more money and 5X longer (if ever) for infrastructure projects in Argentina compared to the USA.
