Noble Energy announced Monday that it has acquired additional acres offshore the Falkland Islands and plans to start drilling, despite opposition from Argentina’s government. The Houston-based oil company now holds a 75% interest in a license in the North Falkland Basin from Argos Resources Limited, an oil and gas exploration company based in the Falkland Islands. Hey Cristina! How does it feel to be completely ignored by everyone? How does it feel to be impotent?

I'd like to see Argentina try and issue an international arrest warrant only to be told that they can't as the Falklands and it's EEZ are British and whatever happens there is nothing to do with Argentina.

I really want Cristina and her muppets to humiliate themselves yet again on the international stage. But this will be like 5 years ago. All talk and no trousers.

So Argentina is suing Citibank, American hedge funds, Justin Bieber, Falklands oil firms, Alberto Nisman, Jeremy Clarkson, independent statisticians who refuse to accept government lies for inflation and economic performance … the list goes on and on in the country that has become the Zimbabwe of Latin America. The rest of the continent has to laugh when it hears about Cristina Kirchner’s latest delusional behaviour. The poor, long-suffering people of Argentina deserve better but at least they will soon be rid of the corrupt and criminal Kirchner. Just where did she get her tens of millions? We should be told.

“The charges have no merit,” Noble spokeswoman Paula Beasley said in a statement. “We are committed to safely and responsibly exploring for oil and natural gas offshore the Falkland Islands, where our concession contracts are with the Falkland Islands Government.”

The UK government with all the legal expertise at its disposal has publicly told Argentina that is has no doubt its sovereignty over the islands and surrounding maritime spaces.

The oil companies operating in the Falklands obviously agree with the British government, otherwise they wouldn’t be putting their investor’s money at risk.

But of course Argentina has stated that it has the 'full support' of the entire world when it comes to its claim to the Falklands, well to be honest, not the whole world but Venezuela has offered moral support hasn't it?
