Petrobras’ Exploration and Production Director, Solange Guedes, received the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations and Institutions, the highest recognition that an oil company can be given as an offshore operator. Read full article

    Well, I am amazed! 20% of all Brasil pre-salt deep-sea reserves now being harvested - and after all the federal and Petrobras smoke and mirrors to 'do the deals'

    ... and all the carbon dioxide produced in the pre-salt is being re-injected. “As a result, we have avoided the emission of 1 million metric tons of CO2,”
    well it sure shows that the North Sea doesn't know how to practice Carbon Capture and Storage, but that the seas around the Sao Paulo basin do!

    But sure, I'm an old skeptic.

    The bar mustn't be set very high to win an award if Petrobra's received a prize.
    Kinda like the special Olympics where everyone's a winner!
