Argentine congress will try to evaluate 'psychophysical condition” of Justic Fayt
Argentina's Lower Houe Impeachment Committee has a busy week ahead, with the agenda including a request to evaluate Supreme Court Justice Carlos Fayt’s 'psychophysical condition'. The committee will also treat impeachment requests against Prosecutor General Alejandra Gils Carbó, foreign minister Hector Timerman and vice-president Amado Boudou. Read full article

Come to think of it, wouldn't it be best to take every member of either Kirchner 'government', throw them into semi-flooded, rat-infested dungeons where they can hang for their chains for a couple of years whilst deciding whether to confess and be executed. Could there be compassion once the rats had eaten their way up to the knees? Should Timerman be suspended upside down so that the rats take his face and tongue first?

Anyway. I listened to the recorded and edited conversation that judge Carlos Fayt kept with his lawyer Jorge Rizzo, who disseminated it to the media. Fayt does sound like a lovely great-great grandpa, who tries without always succeeding, to form complete sentences. Don't let him manage any gas burner! Now as a Supreme Court judge, things become more serious. It is evident the man has the mental faculties--nothing less, nothing more--of a 97-year-old. The Court has power over the lives of many people through its judgments. So the honourable judge does need an assessment, just as those for older drivers--to keep other people safe.
