It took almost two years for the Brazilian government to gather a force of one Army Division with 25,000 men (replacements included), compared with an initial declared goal of a whole Army Corps of 100,000, to join the Allies in the Italian Campaign. Perhaps you should note (“Mais fácil à uma cobra um cachimbo fumar, do que à FEB embarcar para o combate.”). We remember the Polish contingents for the RAF. We remember the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade under Major-General Stanislaw Sosabowski. We don't remember 'brassos'.
