Putin claims US seeks to derail Russia's 2018 World Cup plans
Russian president Vladimir Putin waded into the FIFA scandal by accusing the United States of interfering in FIFA affairs after the US Justice Department ordered Swiss police to arrest seven senior FIFA officials on Wednesday. Putin is KGB. We know what that means. Anything is okay. Aiding dictators. Aiding terrorists. Shooting down airliners. Lying. Cheating. Stealing. Why are Russian troop deaths suddenly a state secret? Because they died in Ukraine. Russia has always been 'persecuted'. Is it because it's a paranoid state?

The Russian people are not weaklings or softies; they stood out against the German Nazi invasion with tremendous courage and privation.
We in the West would not have been so fortunate to win in the time that we did without the counter-efforts by the Russians in the War.
I know- I was around then; and Mock that if you like. But experience beats foolish juvenile fancy every time.

They fought close to their borders and they fought for survival and self interest and also had a pact with Germany..until they realised the Germans always planned to wipe them out....
The Russians are scum....defend them if you like, but we all know what they are....
The Russians are not scum. They are actually very nice people. Blame Mr Putin by all means he deserves it, but please don't disrespect the Russian people. The Russians are the UK's natural allies. They have been in the past and will be again.
