    Another big lie of Western terrorists. In 2003 the dollar was quoted at R $ 3.50. After 12 years the dollar remains the same value? So you want to fool us?

    Twelve years ago an aluminum can for beer cost R$ 0.60 and today that same beer costs R$ 1.50 (skol).

    At this price difference we usually call inflation. For the dollar was the same price 12 years ago would require the US inflation in that period was the same inflation in Brazil. But it was not!

    Brazilian inflation was much higher during this period. According to calculations from the IMF and World Bank economists (for this they serve) so that the dollar had the same value 2003 should be quoted at R $ 6.47. That is almost double what it is today.

    You're not very good at math.

    Anyhoo, down down down she goes. Where she stops nobody knows.
    Soon enough the reserves will have to be used to support the BReal.

    Glug glug glug.

    Watch Venezuela to see your future.

    The correct comparison should be made between the real with the yuan or ruble. Dollar is losing importance in BRICS trade much faster than I imagined.

    What your companies and investors will make 5 quadrillion dollars that run the world we have no interest in knowing.

    Usually raising interest rates helps to stabilise or strengthens currency.

    The market is factoring quite a deep recession. Usually a weaker currency helps to cushion an economy by making imports more expensive and exports more competitive. This is currently happening in Australia, hence why we haven't fallen into recession it. Unfortunately for Brazil, which has an even larger economy, is that it has a much lower level of international trade.

    “The strong reaction in the money exchange market followed the announcement by the administration of President Dilma Rousseff that the original budget primary surplus of 1.2% was to be lowered to 0.15%.”

    Does anybody believe there will be a surplus of 0.15%?

    No, I didn't think so other than Brasso who is incapable of independent thought.

    The way things are going in Brazil: useless government, piss poor state bank management, lying to the market and the fear that anybody who has a job of losing it will throttle any nascent spending which could have softened the crash.

    But the PT have worked for it and they can suffer the consequences. Pity the rest of the country will have to suffer with them.

    HTF does someone get as stupid as brasshole? Drinking the water in Rio? Several generations of interbreeding? I than shooting him and putting him out of his misery, I think it will be a better and prolonged death to watching him suffer in his political philosophy.

    @1 brASSHOLE
    Why are you such a systematic liar ? is it because Lullu is also one ?
    Just fyi, numbnuts, the USD was quoted at nearly R$ 4,00 (R$ 3,99) in September 2002, when it looked like Lullu might win the elections, which he did....and it only retracted later on , first : when it became clear that Lullu had no government programme, and would be obliged to maintain most of FHC's policies ; and second, after Lullu promised the banks and investors he wouldn't screw around with the economy and would do what it 'took to maintain economic stability'....which was 'nothing', considering he was handed the country already on the right path....inflation under control and the economy growing...

    Your “At this price difference we usually call inflation” deserves the Nobel Prize for Economy.........what are you trying to teach us you ignorANUS ?? And according to your 'beer' example, inflation has increased 150% over the last 12 years.....and you think that is low ?? The worst is that the USD “could” be somewhere around R$ 2,80 if it weren't for the lack of confidence that the PT has managed to instill in the minds of the people and the investors. You just really don't get it, do you ?? you are an absolute waste of time.

    @5 ChrisR
    “Does anybody believe there will be a surplus of 0.15%?”
    To answer your question, just need to say that in the first semester 2015 the Government already posted a deficit of R$ 1,59 billion.....off to a 'great' start !

    @8 Briton
    I’m not sure as to the EXACT figure, but the for roughly every 4 criminals shot by the police, stats show that 1 cop is killed….too high on the side of the police….as far as I’m concerned 10 times that number of criminals being eliminated now would still be too little.

    If I said that the US dollar is no longer convertible in Brazil anyone believe?

    So remember these words: Very soon the BRICS countries will not accept dollar investments, imports and exports in dollars, not only in intra-regional trade as well as trade with other countries.

    Regarding Brazil's economy recovery signs are starting to appear.

    Having a trade surplus is good EXCEPT when it means your economy is slowing down and the surplus is from lower imports.

    Methinks you don't know much about economics

    Authorities say José Dirceu, who served as Mr. da Silva’s chief of staff from 2003 to 2005, was one of the principle architects of a bid-rigging-and-bribery ring that funneled money stolen from state-run Petrobras into the pockets of politicians and parties, including the ruling Workers’ Party

    The BRICS haven't expelled all North American and European NGOs. Mainly just Russia and some in China. Neither of whom are democracies.

    Do what you want Brasileiro. You keep acting as if Brazil is important enough to matter.

    If you feel that democracy is a burden that Brazil is better off without, then go for it. The west will continue on.

    The west isn't one thing. It is an ideal shared by dozens of countries. If Brazil doesn't want to share that then those countries will still go on.

    Expel away!

    “If I said that the US dollar is no longer convertible in Brazil anyone believe?”

    NO....because it's bs....try importing and tell the seller he'll have to accept Reais, or Argy Pesos....or Bolivares from VZ....
    Funny, you criticize foreign Press agencies, such as Reuters (reporting on planned investments by GM…you have said many times that you hate all that is ‘western’ and want all foreign companies to leave Brazil ?) , as well as the “Globo” group (which you described a few days ago as 'dominant western something or other', that spies on Brazil), yet you quote them when it suits you....you are typical 'petista', amoral, ignorant and always lying.

    @13 brASSHOLE
    “It seems that the BRICS above all will open the borders to the free movement of persons.”
    So ? big deal....this is just a beaurocratic process, already working between many other countries.....the BRICS countries, as usual, are the last ones to pull their fingers out and to get moving.

    @15 brASSHOLE
    “Brazil should follow the example of BRICS and expel all North American and European NGOs.”

    Why stop at the NGO's ?? why not all US and European companies as well, specially GM that has announced plans to invest several billion dollars in Brazil over the next 5 years ?? where is your logic ? ah, yes, you have none.

    As to NGO's, if you bothered to look more closely, and stopped crapping out of your mouth, you would know that most , if not all of the corrupt NGO's in Brazil, are founded by Brazilians only to steal...look at Marta Suplicy...an icon of the PT.....while Minister, funneling millions to her NGO...but I suppose that's OK with you.
    As to our Defense Minister, Jaques Wagner, what a joke he is....knows nothing about defence....just another Lulla puppet.

    But I understand why you become more stupid every day....the notion that Lullu might be behind bars soon, or 6 feet under, makes you shit your pants..

    I know for sure it isn't Brazil.

    Perhaps Australia. After all we have territory over 42% of Antarctica. So probably Queen Elizabeth as she is the Sovereign for 52.5-% of Antarctica.

    From Wikipedia ::
    “For the ownership of the south pole...
    No one really owns the south pole... but the portion of Antartica around the pole have official, unofficial and even historical claims...
    The south pole serve as the basis for the territorial claims of different countries on certain part of the said continent...
    this link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antarctic_t... - shows the territorial claims of different countries on Antartica”
