Shame on you Father Benedettini: Malvinas-dialogue poster support was real

Saturday, August 29th 2015 - 06:05 UTC
Full article 82 comments

Shame and double confession for the Vatican's deputy spokesman father Ciro Benedettini: it has now clearly emerged that Pope Francis was well aware he was holding a poster calling for “Malvinas dialogue between the UK and Argentina”, and furthermore the Holy Father encouraged the man who setup the stage to continue strongly with the campaign. In the long term does it matter either way as the FALKLANDS WILL remain a British Overseas Territory for the forseeable future. Just live with it.

But no one cares what paedophiles in white skull caps or white collars say anymore.
Dialogue without the Falkland Islanders involvement would be utterly shameful , and entirely corrupt of Christinas “pope in her pocket” to support such a thing?

Next we'll have Alex Dumpling or Nicola Sourface holding a similar placard. Dont worry they wont be with us much longer. England is now throroughly fed up with the Scotch but still loves all our South Atlantic possessions. Voicey will soon be a citizen of the Socialist Republic of Scotland living under the tyrany of a Neo Stalinist administration which will tax what little wealth he has until the pips squeak to fund the myriad of scroungers in Easterhoos and similar slums.

Shameful action by the big-nosed argie but it will earn him a double blow job next time he sees TMBOA.

It is not new for the papacy to lie. Together with the rc church, it lied a lot during WW2. Catholics should now think hard and long. During and after WW2, it took a while for the truth to come out and spread around the world. Now it's close on immediate. The papacy, apparently, assured the British government that it would not allow itself to be used. Lie no.1. The papacy is supposed to be neutral. Lie no.2. The pope is supposed to be God's representative on Earth. Fine. God wants a war. There is no doubt that Britain will win again. God wants argieland to be destroyed. WW1 was quite gentlemanly in many ways. WW2 and the people of Britain wanted German blood. Argies should think hard and long. British capabilities are well beyond what they were in 1982. I've mentioned this before, but let gung ho argies consider 7 British submarines stationary in international waters 50 miles off-shore and submerged firing cruise missiles with a range of 1,000 miles. We now know who the Anti-Christ is and who serves him.

Doh! Voice, England is a bigger country dimwit! The Scotch enjoy wastelands (moors and hills) owned by English grouse shooters, they can wander anywhere in bogs with almost continual rain and snow in winter surrounded by huge clouds of biting midges in summer. In the Cities an underclass of stinking workshy scroungers lives off anyone with any dosh consequently when you stay at any decent hotel it is staffed by East European immigrants, not locals. England is by contrast a more dynamic vibrant place, more cultured, considerably richer, more productive, fun not dour and miserable. You couldnt afford to live here.

    Jealous? Chuckle chuckle…

The Scottish enjoy Breathtaking scenery...Mountains, unpolluted lochs and abundance of fresh clean water and air so fresh the English tourists sleep like babes at night because they are not used to it...
Salmon fishing and deer hunting....red squirrels, wild cats and an untamed wilderness with barely another soul to be seen....

England ....an overcrowded polluted same ole, same ole they get a bit of rain and it's floods everywhere...they get some sun and it's drought and water rationing and water meters in households....

The Falkland Islands have great mountain scenery too.

“It's time for Malvinas dialogue between Argentina and the UK”,

I wonder when the Falkland Islands Catholics are going to write to the pope?

'Save a prayer for the ManinWhite” has ignored the fact that dialogue was offered in 2013 and Timmerman refused it.

Stick your head in the sand again and again and again.

The Argentines cannot complain about Falkland Islanders being present at talks because the Islanders are UK citizens.

It is not “dialogue” that Santito Francisco is asking for with Cristina´s card .. he is asking for colonisation of the Falklands by Argentina, that is the dialogue Francisco is on about.. As Francisco knows, Argentina will not sit down to dialogue.. No integrity of the Vatican either, they assured the UK that they wouldn't be manipulated by Buenos Aires but the lying pope can't wait to be manipulated by Buenos Aires, he is a fanatic nationalist malvinista in a dress. No successor to St. Peter here.. They guy has sold his soul so many times he should be done for fraud.. he got on like a house on fire with the guys pushing people out of the plane.. and then after that with the people who were nearly pushed out of the plane.. typical Argentine..

The voice of this blog, is not the voice of the Falkland's who freely wish to remain British, full stop,

the pope has the following of millions , and know perfectly well that what he says carries weight and therefore should not under any circumstances get involved or allow himself to be used as a scape goat by villains and people like CFK and her parasites.

if he has any morals at all, he should demand that Argentina give up its false claim, leave the islanders alone and live in peace,

    but he wont,
    thus a hypocrite he stands.

If Argentina is now looking to the Vatican to influence world opinion on the sovereignty of the Falklands, they should have done it with a none Argentine Pope, What possible impartiality does an Argentine Pope have on this issue, unless they are looking to completely empty the catholic churches in the UK, much dwindled since their very close association with paedophilia.

This pope is going to get his fingers burnt on this issue unless he keeps his pious trap shut, he had better got his holy water on standby!

The Pope is a hypocrite who has been wriggling to hide the Catholic church's disgusting role in keeping paedophile bishops and archbishops from justice. By taking sides in the Falklands issue, he has now brought shame on his office and the Vatican which feels deeply unhappy with his blunder. He is a Peronist fool. Ignore him.

“I neither admit nor deny being any nationality....if you can show me a post that says otherwise, then do so...if not, shut it.... ”

0h, fcuk... the wee man bs and now the senior persona of the Panto Troll troupe arrives.

“voice's” whole shtick is to denounce others for their nationality whilst playing up his 'scottishness' as though he has more credibility than others.

When he is put on the spot for his unscottish views, he falls back on his, “ I never said I was British” routine....

All part of the wee man game he plays.

His other routine is the multiple personas, the Panto Horse of voice, Think, and Cmdr DoD - all the same person.

“Think” 'spoke' with the fictitious “Dove Over Dover”, persona - English-hating fake Scotsman.
DoD was unmasked as Think when DoD signed in under Think's user name.

The same oddly strange 'Scots' persona reappears immediately as “A_Voice” a deliberately 2-dimensional character.

The trouble is wee man voice craves attention and can't resist adding details and controversy to his character - all the better to provoke retaliation and attention from other posters.

The reality is, he adds little but insults and self-congratulation.

    Best ignored.

    @6 ChrisR

What a dumb ass you are! I make no apologies for the transgressions of people who say they are Christians. You seem very confused about what religion means to people of faith and, it seems to me, their individual beliefs should be of no concern to you just as your “militant” lack of faith should be of no concern to them.

I have no problems with non believers who hold the Church up to criticism for the the transgressions of a FEW individuals who certainly do not represent the majority of Christians - these evil people deserve everything they get.

As far as the Pope is concerned he should be respected as the elected leader of the millions who profess the Roman Catholic faith. I, personally, would have preferred a non-Argentine and I have been suspicious of his connections with the Malvinistas since his election. This antic with the poster is deplorable and whoever contrived the nonsense has made a mockery of the Papacy.

Well...the surprise is only for those who thought convenient to believe spokesperson Benedettini's version of facts.
For those who took time to read different sources and arrive to their own conclusion, Benedittini's declaration may have been just that of a Vatican staffer who is still not up to speed with Pope Francisco's ways or any other distortion.
And again, the anguished speculations on whether the Pope may be Marxist or something else (horror!!) are out of place.
Francisco supports dialogue without taking a position on the matter of sovereignty. Period.

“Shame and double confession for the Vatican's deputy spokesman father Ciro Benedettini: it has now clearly emerged that Pope Francis…………………………”

    Who wrote this article?

‘double confession’, ‘now clearly emerged’. This has all the hallmarks of a self-serving work of propaganda straight from the song book of the Joe Goebbels 'how to lie with a straight face' manual. The very same methods employed by Argentina to try and put a credible face on their grand Malvinas myth.

Father Benedettini’s intervention in this saga was extremely inconvenient for the plastic lady and the rest of her purveyors of lies, because it has prevented them from declaring –“Look even the pope supports us”. (So what!). So right on que out comes an article discrediting Fr Benedettini, it’s a shame that it doesn’t have the attribution of an author and it smells strongly like the sort of self-serving excuse that one would expect an Argentine government desperate to score a political point.

    @45 The Voice,
l suspect that “Voice” is Think & it seems that others do on here also.
Think claims to be Danish & someone here said that his family had Nazi German connections from WWII.
Don't know the truth about that, but it could account for his hatred of us.
Actually Think has admitted to being Danish & l think that he still smarts from the drubbing that we gave the Danes in the Napoleonic Wars & how we Saxons decisively defeated them & their Norwegian allies at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.
“The battle lasted all day & there was great slaughter.
Twenty ships brought the Vikings to England & by the time that the defeated Vikings fled 2 ships were enough to take the survivors back home.
We Saxons also suffered as our weakened forces could not hold back the Normans who had landed at Hastings”
    Read that somewhere.
Think is like the RGs, he can't handle losing. ha ha ha.

@35. Just a simple question. Does “the pope” have a following of millions or is it the church?
@43. “Francisco”, as you call him, is a prick. Does he have any morals? Have you shown him a choirboy's plump bum? The ludicrous nature of the situation is that, of late, the argie etc. trolls reckon that argieland is only interested in the land. The Falklanders can remain British and retain their whole way of life. Like having a British Governor? Like having a Constitution drafted in London that they can vote on? Like driving on the left? Like having a British garrison? Argies are so stupid. You prove it every time that you and the other trolls “open your mouths”. “Which approach will fool the Islanders and the British”? There isn't one. Your lot are already too close. Il Papa è persona non grata nel Regno Unito.
@44. I'm really trying hard to follow your reasoning.
@45. “I am sure he is a kind old gent with good intentions”. I don't think so. How could a person such as you describe countenance what argieland would do to the Islanders? How would such a person “think” that British people would forget 255 dead British soldiers. For which argieland has never apologised or paid reparations. Not that the apology or reparations would change anything. Nope, it's a national characteristic. Argies are genetically stupid. Try this. World War 2 ended 70 years ago. Leaving aside reaction to an individual German, if you're British, how do you feel about Germans?
@52. Someone else's pictures from Cornwall?

Well Think, we knew you have always been technically challenged. Its quite difficult for you oldsters to squint at a Doro screen through that alcoholic haze so I'll content myself with the fact that the rest of us who are more tech savy are having a really good laugh at your expense.

Personally I prefer Stanley Falkland Islands, no sign of beach litter, rusty shopping trollies and fat chavs in altercations with the cops there…

    ,

    A very interesting question,
Of course the answer is and should be the Church,

But im sure the pope, the representative of god, [- so they say,
Probably has a following, especially if he is a popular pope,

So yes you are right the church has the following,
Just a presumably on my part.

irrelevant what religious fanatics think fancy dress or not, as this isnt a religious cult matter but a REAL human right issue and The Falklands have used there basic human right and voiced there wish for Self-Determination which trumps any religious non issue, they should stop distracting from the real, sick perverse issue that haunts the vatican and its cult religion.

    SELF-DETERMINATION...is REAL unlike other beliefs.

    This article must be satire.

Who do we believe, the official spokesman of the Vatican or some malvinista?

People hands the pope lots of curious things.

The best time to try to hand something to the Pope is on Wednesday morning, during his General Audience.

In the four minutes it took Pope Francis to walk through the crowd at his most recent audience, he was offered the following: seven babies (all safely returned), five flags, three shirts, one painting, one boy scout neckerchief, one magazine, and one stuffed toy (a rabbit).

Lot of distraction about Scotland (fantastic place, lovely people by the way) but three posts ask the critical question:

@19 “Hold on a minute, who wrote this article and where is it from? They must be really pissed that Father Benedettini rained on their parade, but all they have against him is the word of the perpetrator.”
@44 “Who wrote this article? ... This has all the hallmarks of a self-serving work of propaganda straight from the song book of the Joe Goebbels 'how to lie with a straight face' manual. The very same methods employed by Argentina to try and put a credible face on their grand Malvinas myth.”
@63 “Who do we believe, the official spokesman of the Vatican or some malvinista?”

So either Hoyo is 1. lying or 2. telling the truth.
If 1. Hoyo photobombed the pope, Father Benedettini is telling the truth and Hoyo is now lying about what happened to further his own cause.
If 2. The pope is being political and Benedettini is lying to protect him.

Impossible to say which is the truth without more evidence (and this article provides none), but I'd argue that on the balance of probability (1) seems most likely on the basis of the available photographs and the relative credibility of Hoyo and the Vatican.

Oh my gosh! Did Bloomberg just make up a telephone interview with Father Benedettini? How did you find that out?

    @43

I don't doubt myself that the Holy Father supports dialogue, not to mention the forcible imposition of Argentine rule without consent, which is of course what “dialogue” really means in this context. I just find it rather strange that he's chosen to express his support through something that looks exactly like a cack-handed viveza criolla photobomb, when he's had any number of opportunities to appear on a balcony with Cristina or Alicia and release a dove of peace or something.

Oh my gosh...! Did sweet Father Benedettini..., Vice Director of the Vatican Information Office... really said that the Pope “had not idea what the item was” and that ”the Holy Father did not even realize he had this object in his hands. He has discovered this just now after seeing the photograph” ... on a telephone interview with Bloomberg, denigrating not only the Holy Father's intelligence and presence of mind, but also his entire Vatican entourage?

I have previously provided you with the links to the written Official Vatican Communique where no such denigrating comments exist.

Could you please provide me with a link to Bloomberg's taped telephone interview with sweet Father Benedettini?

Or do I have to take Bloomberg's word for it..., just because they are Anglo?

    @71

Oh my gosh, bloomberg has completely invented an interview with the Vice Director of the Vatican Information Office, no less. And it has been widely reported in the religious as well as the secular press. And the Vatican turning the other cheek to this heinous act! Not a plague of boils to be seen, no hint of an auto da fe, and not even a denial. Has nobody invoked the United Nations yet?

Alternatively, it may just be the case that the Vatican press release does not purport to be a transcript, verbatim or otherwise, of everything the Good Father said. And it still remains a rather curious, ambiguous, roundabout way for the Holy Father to get his message of peace, reconciliation and imposed demagoguery across, wouldn't you say?

Bloomberg has just added some “Spice” to a story for their usual gullible brainwashed and haughty Anglo Clientele that happily swallows almost any undocumented “News”, as long as it fulfills two criteria...:
    1) Is written in Engrish by an Anglo...
    2) It strengthens common Anglo prejudices...

I don't doubt he's a Malvinista through and through. I don't doubt either that Cristina and co have pleaded with him to come out and say so on the five or so occasions she's turned up on the doorstep since his election. What I think is that wiser counsels prevailed and therefore a fast one had to be pulled. And lo a fast one was pulled, one of the oldest tricks in the book, even. Either that, or it's also possible that it was just a mixture of cluelessness on the part of Gustavo Royo and opportunism on the part of Kirchner. But the whole episode barely made the news in the UK.
