    I'm sure India is quaking in its boots...NOT!

    China get back in your box. How Vietnam and India choose to do business is none of China's.

    Not to mention that it is not even Chinese coastal waters. I see China is having troop and weapons cuts due to their enlightened economy that has become a BRIC standard. I mean, when you have your economic bloc named after a brick, what else can it do but drop, fall or sink? lol

    @3 ilsen

    The Vietnamese aren't exactly enamoured of the Chinese thinking that they have the right to dictate to anyone and everyone in Asia about how things should be.

    After all, most of these Asian countries fought to be out from under the colonial yoke of European Empires...in the case of Vietnam, France. I doubt they're too happy with China behaving like they are the new colonial masters here.

    The Vietnamese will do what they want. China, for all it's size, would be foolish to try anything, especially against the Indians. After all China did try to steal part of India once are were given a good shoeing.

    The Chinese military is very big. But it is also unwieldy, difficult to resupply, and many of it's soldiers are conscripts. The British proved in Korea that Chinese numbers mean very little when they're faced with a determined and well trained opposition, with Regiments defeating entire Chinese armies.

    The modern Chinese army may well have learned something from it's defeats in Korea, but I doubt it. In dictatorships little thought is ever given to the foot soldier. They're just expected to obey without question.

    And the Indian Army is based on the British system, the same system that gave the Chinese such a headache in Korea in the 50's. Also many Indian Officers train at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, considered the worlds best training establishment for Officers.

    I foresee a time when India and China but heads more than once as each strives to gain the upper hand in Asia. And it'll be a tight run thing. Both have huge populations to call upon, both have huge military's.

    Both want to be the top dog in the region. China's tried buying it's way in, and has also tried to use threats to push it's agenda.

    India is playing the long game, quietly and subtlety, and they're gaining traction in the region.

    And this is why I believe China is worried about India right now, because they can feel them breathing down their necks.

    @5 Tobias

    Oh look whose woken up!

    Well this thread is about China, Vietnam and India. No one mentioned your corrupt country, so why mention it?

    Oh of course, you can't resist any opportunity for your hate filled racist rants, can you.

    It must be so frustrating for you, Tobias. You want Argentina to be free of foreign influence and involvement, and yet your government has been giving away vast chunks of Argentina to the Chinese, for a few worthless Yuan.

    All in all you like to blame the 'Anglos' (whoever they are) for all Argentina's ills because you haven't got the moral courage to look at yourself in the mirror and admit that Argentina's woes are your fault, and the fault of others like you, who allow successive governments to steal Argentina's resources and money, and sell your country out. At best your apathetic, at worse you collude in the destruction of Argentina.

    And now China is in the financial poo, your great 'saviour' has vanished. However, they'll still expect repayment in full...with lots and lots of interest.
