Francis was greeted by tens of thousands of people as he drove through New York City’s Central Park on Friday, a processional that marked his biggest public event in the city. An ear-piercing roar rose from the crowd as his open-sided pope-mobile made its way slowly through the park. Read full article

Is it misconception, stupidity or a latam plot? Francis said the world can build peace from its differences. And how does kill all non-believers Islam feel about that? He says the world must look to its diversity of languages, cultures and religions and throw away “feelings of hate and revenge and rancor.” Fine. As I recall the communists, e.g. China and Russia, intended to dominate the world. How's China on that now? Putin wants to reconstitute the soviet empire. Kim Jong Un wants to attack virtually everyone. Latam, particularly argieland, wants to get its hands on virtually everything. Francis’ call for a world free of nuclear weapons drew applause from across the General Assembly — including from Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Now that Iran has hidden all its nuclear materials. Francis also demanded respect for the sacredness of all life, in a reference to abortion. His comments are sure to please conservatives who have complained that he doesn’t speak out enough against abortion. There's real stupidity. What do countries in Africa and the Indian sub-continent do for entertainment? They procreate. What about the rest of the world? Such countries MUST be limited to monogamy and a maximum of 2 children. The world's population MUST be restrained. Francis emphasized a point he has made throughout his U.S. trip: the need to welcome foreigners and marginalized people. Why? They have countries. Let them do what others have done. Work, and fight if necessary, to make those countries worth living in. No-one owes them a living. 200 might be refugees”. 200,000 are thieving, violent, migrant scum.

Sep 27th, 2015 - 03:06 am - Link - Report abuse 0oh good god, Marcos, you clueless moron, now you're just making things up.
One company backed down and lowered their increase to what they originally intended - another has defended their actions and refused point blank to change their minds.
However, the reported figure of 5,000 % increase is inaccurate, as the price per pill was $18 and not $13.50 as originally reported.

Are you too stupid, or too lazy to read, in your haste to agree with Enrique??
maybe lowering by a few pennies... is pure unfounded speculation on your part.
Regardless, none of it has a bloody thing to do with a foreign, religious figurehead who would have us believe that invisible gods speak through him to tell people what to do.
This is the same outfit that launched religious wars and sent children to needless death by disease and war in a Children's Crusade, and the same lot that persecuted and tortured heretics with the cruel and merciless Spanish Inquisition.
Today's Pope perpetuates poverty and ignorance still, most notably by his stand on birth control

”“Don't use condoms, infect everyone with AIDS, and over-populate the planet until we run out of resources. Subjugate women and abuse innocent children if you can”
- in the Christian world, it predominates where there is Catholicism - that would include all of Latin America.
Europe is mostly secular, and has been for 100 years
You can accuse argies of many things, but not of infecting everyone with AIDS, over-population, and running out of resources.
Sep 27th, 2015 - 08:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0OTOH, I can accuse EUians of that.
Ah but we don't throw people who disagree with us out of helicoters or c 130s and turn the other cheek. South America wake up and smell the coffee, get off your arses and work for a living, you all have so many resourses but sitting on your arses do not make you rich. And by the way the population in Latam will not be particularly high because you will not get off your arses. Lazy twats.
Sep 27th, 2015 - 10:15 am - Link - Report abuse 0@13. Really? In 1982 the first patient with AIDS was reported in argieland. Since that year the Ministry of Health keeps records of cases; until mid-2000, more than 17,000 patients (12,732 men, 3,074 women and 1,214 children under 15 years) were reported. 5,500 new HIV cases are reported in Argentina every year. There are about 110,000 people infected with HIV in Argentina, of whom only 50% know their status. Are you one of them?
Sep 27th, 2015 - 10:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0http://countrymeters.info/en/Argentina Can you see that argieland's population is increasing by 535 just today? 308,137 this year.
And can you get at resources? How's the Vaca Muerta doing? Loads of argie companies drilling wells as fast as they can go, are they? Farmers want decent prices for their produce, do they? Is your auto industry going well? Have you tried designing and building cars instead of just assembling those produced elsewhere? Aren't you still buying gas?
Doesn't that sound much like a basket case?

#5 Conqueror
Sep 27th, 2015 - 09:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I got a pearl of wisdom from Conqueror:
As I recall the communists, e.g. China and Russia, intended to dominate the world.
Conqueror seems to be an anti-communist white knight fighting for people's freedom. So let's look at his view on the problem:
1. What do countries in Africa and the Indian sub-continent do for entertainment? he asks, and then answers:
They procreate.
Next, Conqueror proposes his solution, directly borrowed from Communist China's book:
Such countries MUST be limited to monogamy and a maximum of 2 children.
2. Then, Conqueror fearlessly characterizes the refugee crisis:
They have countries...200 might be ”refugees”. 200,000 are thieving, violent, migrant scum.
Say, Conqueror. Are you not afraid of proposing authoritarian solutions you seem to despise as Communist? as in No. 1?
Are you not afraid of blaming the victims--the refuges--and characterize those people, with no base whatsoever, of thieving, violent, migrant scum?
But wait. Conqueror gives us the cherry on the cake:
3. Latam, particularly argieland, wants to get its hands on virtually everything.
What on earth would be everything, Conqueror? Please educate me.
In the meantime, I would say you may not deserve to be called thieving or migrant scum.
But authoritarian and violent?
From the way you express yourself, I would say yes-without a doubt.

Is it not a bit weird that with the RC church still trying to live down its horrific record of paedophilia, that as soon as the Pope appears people immediately send their babies forward to be kissed by him? Even just from a PR perspective you'd have thought the Vatican would discourage it.

Sep 28th, 2015 - 07:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0Is your comment aimed at the credulous or the sceptical?
20-years ago, everyone bowed and scraped to the clerics. Today however the clerics have a lot of explaining to do and I for one am no longer willing to accept dogma without evidence. I'm sure you can at least welcome the integrity of that position.
I'm just amazed that people are so quick to forgive and forget the most horrendous period of clerical abuse. The Pope says that God weeps (I'm not sure that that is even theologically possible given what God was perfectly happy to do to Job to prove a point) and it's as if nothing had happened.
