    China cant keep expanding its economy for ever, its just slowing down in line with demand. Meanwhile the Chinese cant get enough of high quality British goods. - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/shopping-and-consumer-news/11929180/How-Bicester-Village-became-the-go-to-place-for-Chinese-tourists.html

    or would one invest in ones own ,
    and leave the reds under the bed...

    @2 The Voice,
    Quite true. we were in China several months ago & anything from Europe is expensive but in big demand.
    Especially among the noveau riche & there are hundreds of thousands of them.
    Find something that the Chinese like, sell it to them & your fortune is assured.
    My husband, unthinkingly bought a can of imported ltalian shaving cream & when he got to the checkout, he found it was priced at $24US.
    He bought it anyway, the poser!
    @3 Briton,
    China is not really communist.
    They say they are but act like a capitalist nation.
    Money may not be their God but it would be very close.
    Communism does not suit the Chinese entrepreneurial character.
    They are more suited to business & are mostly hard workers.
    They do like their Yuans!
    With a very few exceptions, l found them to be nice people.
    People give up their seats on trains, buses to the elderly or women with children, which l have not seen in the west for a long time.
    lnternationally though, they are flexing their muscles now.
