Who goes to war have to be prepared for war. But it seems that the Franks never gave importance to this.

Or do you think that a modern war is limited to a certain territory?

Men what Westerners call of terrorists, Islam calls soldiers.

Very interesting. When thousands and thousands of civilians are killed by the West in the Gaza Strip, Iraq, Afeghanistão (many of them children) the Western media is total silence.

When a hundred Westerners (mostly tourists) die in a military attack by Muslims, there is a widespread revolt that same West murderer.

@2. Fine. We can remember this and your words. It's fine to turn up anywhere and start shooting.
@5. Perhaps you'll notice that “Western” armed forces attempt to limit civilian casualties, whilst this was a deliberate attack on civilians. I hope that, amongst others, Israelis respond appropriately. Everyone knows that the entire population of that Gaza Strip you mention are militant jihadi terrorists. I trust that there will be no more stupid condemnation of Israel and that Israel will look to annihilate Gaza the next time there is cause for an attack. Time and again, so-called “palestinians” are seen to be at the centre of these cowardly attacks. Perhaps, when there are none of them left, others will get the idea that, when pushed far enough, no-one is more vicious than the West. The sort of actions that have taken place in Paris, together with your stupid words, are most likely to ensure that there will be no mercy.

    Brasileiro

The Truth is that countries such as your own will never really be in danger of terrorist attacks because they offer no threat.

Countries such as Brazil, and indeed many other developing countries, have no real power.

They hold no hard power to affect the ideals of terrorists and groups such as Al Qaeda and Daesh so they do not worry and fear what you could do to them now or in the future.

But more importantly, countries such as Brazil hold so soft power either. There is nothing about your country that scares them because there is nothing about your country that attracts people. The ideals of your government or people is not anathema to the intolerant and evil. Neither is the openness or freedom of your culture. You do not attract people from around the globe and nor does the allure of your culture, people and society resonate around the globe to the very people that these terrorists need to power them.

Brazil will not suffer terrorist attacks on the scale that has been witnessed by the U.S., U.K., France or Australia because it simply doesn't register as important enough to warrant attention.

The very fact that your country isn't seen as a current enemy to people such as this is more disgusting than you ignorant comments. You and your country stand for nothing. You ride for free and hide cowardly behind others that do the work for you. If you think that terrorists will continue to ignore Brazil if they are successful against the countries that are actually fighting them both physically and in ideas then you are not only ignorant but deluded. People that preach hate and blind obedience to their warped ideas of intolerance and evil will not let even the cowards and lazy countries such as Brazil remain unaffected.

You should be on your knees thanking the countries doing the hard work and losing lives so that you can continue to live in your bubble of stupidity.

As least we in the west are dying for ideals and not living because others pay the price

This worries me because without a doubt we are going to have to deal with this in the UK very soon and the structure of people that keep us safe is being dismantled by our government at a colossal rate to pay back the deficit that was run up by London bankers.

The Islamist problem has been brought about by craven politicians who have failed to understand the real threat that this damnable 'religion' presents to westerners. This is compounded by the people themselves, many of whom do not accept that the Quran and all the so called 'interpretations' written by 'Mullahs' is how these terrorists live. To kill kafirs, as none believers are called, is to 'do god's work' and if the murderers themselves are killed they are considered 'martyrs' who go to 'paradise' and have so many virgins for their amusement.

This has been shown on MercoPress with many, otherwise intelligent people, failing to face up to the many human right problems, especially with women and the status of the children born within this medieval religion as 'not true', 'that cannot be the case', etc. Well, it is true as far as the Islamists are concerned. Grow up and open your mind.

But now we see results of these denials to face reality and it will spread throughout Europe.

Many of our people will suffer death and injury and apologists like Corbyn will demand that the perpetrators MUST be arrested and tried in a UK Court instead of being shot on sight if they are carrying a weapon.

I personally think it is too late for Britain and the people themselves have been left defenceless as a result of the effects of BLiar's 'multiculturism'.

Don't rely on the police, they are useless and the armed ones unable to hit anything beyond 100M unless they are sniper trained and not many are.

I have no idea how this will work out in the end, there are too many 'British' Muslims that the law defends the same as the indigenous people, they cannot be sent back to where they came from, they were born in the UK.

It now seems that 'Jihadi John' who was (hopefully) killed recently has a baby daughter in Syria, she will be entitled to enter the UK in her own right. Great, eh?

    Religion, who needs it?

The problem that Cameron - and most other European “leaders” - faces is that he (and they) have backed themselves into a corner by repeatedly mouthing the blatant lie that “Islam is a peaceful religion”. Despite what many here say Cameron is not a stupid man, he is a scared man. He cannot suddenly turn around and say he was wrong because he would lose face. And he certainly cannot say the sort of things that we are saying here because if he were to do so all hell would break loose and the muslims would retaliate with massive bombing and terror attacks far worse than what we have already seen.

One way to divert the pressure - and to shift the onus from our “leaders” - would be to have a totally impartial investigation into Islam - something like a Royal Commission - to decide (1) is Islam compatible with Western democracy? (2) is Islam in the public interest of the native European majority?. Finally, (3) if the findings were negative (as it logically should be) - should Islam be totally banned or just restricted and controlled?

In order to be genuinely impartial such an investigation would have to invite submissions not just from the usual hand-wringing liberal apologists and taqqiya-spouting “moderate muslims” - but also from the likes of people who the media have dismissed and demonised as “Islamophobes” - Geert Wilders, Robert Spencer, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Bridgitte Gabriel, Pamela Geller, Douglas Murray, etc., and others who have studied the “Religion of Peace” and found it to actually be a “Religion of Hatred and Violence”

Of course, if the inquiry were genuinely impartial - and making it so would be the biggest stumbling block - it is obvious that it would find against Islam. Such an announcement would then make it much easier for our leaders to crack down on Islam in a big way - either making it illegal or (as I have previously suggested) restricting its practice to a few enclaves (where muslims are already a majority or near majority) on the basis that it was

Unfortunately(or fortunately, depending who you are!) l am not.
There is much, much more to all this than meets the eye.
This whole scenario was designed to cause maximum disruption & it is doing so.
Anyone with half a brain knows that Arab people are volatile, violent & difficult to assimilate, yet still successive governments have welcomed these immigrants into once peaceful nations……why?
There is an ulterior motive……but what?
Gert Wilders is right, it is time to expel millions of muslims.
lt matters not to me if people don't like my views & you can label me as you like, l don't care.
All around the world, people are having trouble with muslims.

    @ElaineB,

Before you throw the words “prejudice” and “bigoted” around like confetti perhaps you should check on their meanings.

“prejudiced” means forming an opinion - assumed to be an irrational or “unjust” opinion - with no prior facts or good evidence.

How can I be “prejudiced” when 1400 years of history and hundreds of terrorist attacks proves there is OVERWHELMING evidence that Islam is an EXISTENTIAL threat to Western Civilisation, as it has always been. Therefore I am “post-judiced”.

“Bigoted” means “to be intolerant towards other people's beliefs and practices.”

So, what is your solution to Islamic terrorism - more tolerance..?

Oh wait, hasn't that been tried..?

“@29 Utter rubbish. Don't blame anyone but the terrorists responsible for this. Why let them off and aim the blame at elected governments who are acting on the will of the majority”

Really? M Hollande and Merkel opened the whole of Europe up, invited anyone and everyone in and they were “acting on the will of the majority” Really?

Nigel Farage warned them this would happen, stood up in the EU Parliament and warned them that ISIS said that they would send fighters over in the boats and they would “watch Europe burn” He warned them and no one listened.

I accept the fact that terrorists will be terrorists no matter where they are but to throw the doors of Europe open and not to check who you are letting in, well, is that not a tad silly? Is that not criminally stupid given the warnings?

This tragedy could have / should have been avoided, but as per usual, those that “know best” ignored the warnings and common sense and it's the ordinary person, trying to go about their daily lives that paid the price.

So no, I am not going to be the first to say “I told you so” because Nigel Farage will probably be saying it under his breath already.

As Bob Dylan once famously sang:-

You don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows.

P.S:- I am not letting the terrorists off. But remember it's the “lected governments who are acting on the will of the majority” that allowed them to do what they did.

The Truth is, the west always bounces back from these tragedies. Because the ideas and freedoms of the west are resilient.

The Truth is that all the deaths from terrorism attacks in the west during past 20 years is equal to less than 10% of the ANNUAL homicide rate in South America.

Ten times more South Americans kill their hermanos and hermanas EVERY year.

The number of Parisians killed is pretty much equal to the number of Brazilians murdered every day. Day in day out. Venezuelans also murder roughly the same number daily. It takes Argentines a bit longer.....one month but they get there eventually.

Over 370 South Americans are murdered daily. That's the terrorism the South American posters on here turn a blind eye to daily.

It is hardly surprising their reaction on what happened in Paris. They value lives differently.

My condolences to the families of the victims of the territorist attacs. I think we should all have a thought about what is happening to the world. Specially about foreign military adventurism. Providing weapons and training to terrorists in Syria and Libya is not a good way to protect themselves from terrorism. To dictate who has to be in charge of Syria either. This is not a chess game where France choose a “rebelion”(=terrorist) force to arm, against Russia that choosed Bashar al-Asad.
The poorer nations will not present a formal declaration of war. They will just harm them all they cant, where it hurts. Its like the North American war of independence where farmers fighted the british empire in every way they could.
Terrorism is horrible, but ISIS will not go to militarilly invade France.

I confess I was wrong about the possibility that terrorists would conceal their presence within the flood of refugees besieging Europe. Perhaps it was France's laws regarding the wearing of face-concealing head-ware that flipped their switch.

I don't buy the often vaguely expressed views I've been reading and hearing over the last 24 hours ( and for years actually ) that being a Muslim automatically equates to sympathy for terrorism or the version that ISIS 'advocates' though. The latter of which is more closely aligned with nihilism than any deity I've ever heard of.

    @51 Liberato

The Syrians western countries have supported are not terrorists, they were inspired by the 'Arab spring' and opposed a repressive dictatorship. Of all the armed forces fighting in Syria's civil war, they are the only ones advocating democracy as a means of governing. The Islamist groups ( of which ISIS is only one ) that also joined the fight are opportunists. Iran and it's proxy, Hezbollah are Shia, which explains their presence. As for Russia, Syria, under Al-Assad, represents it's only middle-eastern influence, which they wold likely lose if those who either advocate ISIS extremism or western-style democracy ever gain power.

First off, MY condolences to: ANY and ALL families or relatives involved, should any of you be unfortunate enough to read this. It is almost always innocent people who pays the price for insanity.

To the Keyboard-Warriors: I'm making one post. Deal with it.

That said: to the venomous white people who has written here, YOU on the other hand ARE deserving of this faith. That (white) Americans have the audacity to even speak, when they stole a whole country from its people. That They, the numerical majority (white people, in America) decide if Mexicans and are are welcome into “their” country? =lol...

Democracy... or rather hypocrisy, because why would white people be a numerical majority in a country they have no claim on?

This is the equivalent of my going into your house, murdering your family, and then moving into “your” house with MY family. Now we'll vote on who shall prepare dinner. By an almost unanimous vote: you, white dude, you've been selected to prepare dinner. You'll have it ready at 1800 hours. Failure to do so, will result in your immediate decapitation. Democracy.

This is but the tip of the ice-berg (another white disaster). Keep putting white lives above all else, and white lives shall become but a remnant in history. A testament to an out of control-ego, fueled by an insatiable need to dominate. You'll pay the price when the world grows tired of its...bully.

Question, how to you stop a bully? You end its existence. Total annihilation. No mercy, no pardon, no quarter. The END of all communication, BECAUSE your ACTIONS throughout history shown that your words mean NOTHING.

    Thus, nothing you shall become
    R.I.P.

I think some of the posters here have never read the Old Testament when condemning Islam.

You know the terrorists group WANT to divide western societies and pit people against the peaceful muslims living there. The fundamentalist terrorists deliberately attack where they know there is already tension to further create division. From this they can further recruit and raise more money. You need to think about how easily you are being manipulated by the terrorists.

@55 Ha! I agree with most of what you say. I was never in favour of ousting Saddam and protested against the war which was a vanity project for Bush and Blair. The consequences are what we are dealing with now. But other factors have played a part. Our one superpower has had a poor foreign policy which has allowed a space for the terrorists to flourish and we have 'looked the other way' over the involvement of 'friendly' countries in the Middle East.

You will also know from my past contributions that I believe we should allow our security forces to fight ISIL in whatever way they need to. A lot happens that we do not, nor never should, know about in this battle. If we could keep from idolising the blabbermouths like Assange and Snowden, we would be in a much better placed position. We don't ever need to play by the rules when dealing with terrorists. JMO

What you are suggesting is simply impossible. 10% of the population in France is Muslim and they live here legally. I am in France at the moment and apart from some on the extreme-right, no one is suggesting such a 'solution'. It could never happen.

We must not confuse members of ISIL with Muslims. They don't represent Muslims. They kill Muslims. Though they do need to be a lot more vocal in condemning ISIL.

You have written abject cr4p on these boards before, but your post above takes the cake.

Why would “white Americans” have less right to a part of the American continent than “Latino Mexicans”?

You can argue all day long about the European conquest of the Americas, or indeed the migration from Africa 10,000-30,000 years previously. It happened. The “white Americans” aren't going to leave Northern America, any more than the “Latino Americans” are going to leave the South.

The countries now exist, the North “white Americans” have chosen democracy to run their countries, the South “Latin Americans” have switched between despot to military Junta, to corrupt fascism.....as is their right.

None of this has anything to do with the events in Paris.

“I think some of the posters here have never read the Old Testament when condemning Islam.”

This pathetic argument is always re-girgitated by appeasers of the Religion of Hatred and Intolerance, otherwise known as Islam (which means “submission”).

When was the last time fundamentalist Christians blew up a passenger aircraft or set off bombs or mass killings in public places? eh? crickets chirping......

I am very sure that IF a group of extremist “Christians” ever committed JUST ONE shooting or bombing atrocity against Muslims - even on a much smaller scale than this one - thousands of Christians would be out on the streets demonstrating against the extremists in their midst. Thousands of people would be helping the police by informing them of potential terrorists and of terrorist talk they had overheard.

How many “moderate” muslims are helping the authorities in this way? A tiny, tiny handful I would suggest. WHY are the “moderate” muslims not helping us defeat this scourge..? It leads one to suspect that they are shedding crocodile tears and not exactly grieving about these atrocities. I believe Margaret Thatcher made this point many years ago - long before things got as bad as they are now.

You are quick to blame those you slander as “extreme rightists” (presumably anyone to the right of David Cameron) for trying to make capital out of these events. And you claim we are being “manipulated by the terrorists”? No, it is the appeasers and apologists like you who have been manipulated. Your “solution” appears to be more “tolerance” and more “understanding” - IOW, if we keep behaving like Jesus, turning the other cheek and a blind eye, the attacks will stop.

As Thatcher would have said - “NO NO NO....AND NO AGAIN..!”

@9. Are you trying to make a valid point? It was just an MSF whinge. Were these so-called “doctors” wandering around challenging everyone? So they got splattered with the terrorists. Tough.

@28. No, Elaine, I think you'll find they kill more arabs.
@31. Typical bit of argie misdirection and lies. By the time of the Danes and the Norse most of the British Isles were occupied by Anglo Saxons. Thus England. Scotland is essentially Irish. Wales still has Brits. “Vikings” aren't a race. It's an occupation. As anyone of Scandinavian origin should know. The “Vikings”, except for a few, didn't go home. They got assimilated. In other words, they got bred out.
@35. Have to agree with obliteration.

@46. So we dragged them down out of whatever trees they had? Or perhaps up out of their caves?
@54. Good try, but no banana for you. Should we take note of the Spanish etc invasion, conquest, occupation of South America and the subsequent murders. 400 years. Mexico, Peru, Rio de la Plata, Paraguay, New Granada. The population of the Native Amerindian population in Mexico declined by an estimated 90% (reduced to 1–2.5 million people) by the early 17th century. In Peru the indigenous Amerindian pre-contact population of around 6.5 million declined to 1 million by the early 17th century. Just look at that, 97 million people gone. There can be no question, ethnic type Spaniards in South America and Islam wherever should be subject to total annihilation. No mercy, no pardon, no quarter. Let them be done by as they did.

Whether its under tbe banner of ISIS , ISIL, Daesh or Al Quaeda, bombing and wars will make little difference. Its the ideology of some young Muslim men, some young Muslim converts and those who never grew up that is the problem. The corrupted Muslim ideologies need to be shown to be cruel, unworkable and wrongheaded just like Peronism and Communism has been shown to be rottern ideologies that just dont work for societies. There are now very few countries that really believe in these Mantra, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuala and other SA states including Argieland are the only dumbheads who cling on to these failed ideologies.

Let me remind you, 9/11 came BEFORE the invasions of Afghanistan or Iraq.

As for an Oil war, oil has rarely been cheaper, how’s that work then?

    @ 72 EB,

“your rambling hatred of Muslims is a reflection of your bigotry, nothing else.”

I don't hate Muslims per se, but I do hate Islam (submission) and anyone who believes in freedom should do the same. You no doubt hate “Nazis” - do you also hate Germans?

Anyway, you have made it obvious that you prefer not to debate this issue but to wallow in your own misguided sense of moral superiority and throw insults at me.

Its also obvious that you know nothing about this hateful “religion” this evil cult which threatens death to anyone who dares to criticise it, or anyone who dares to leave it even though the religion is forced on babies at birth.

Christianity once did the same, but it reformed - albeit reluctantly. Islam as it stands is totally incompatible with Western democratic ideals and that is why we see all the terrorism - its their way of keeping the pot of anger and resentment, and their sense of (unjustified) grievance, on the boil. Islam is afraid of the truth, because the truth will mean the end of Islam (as we know it) and that explains why they are lashing out in all directions. Its difficult to think straight when you are angry.

You should stick to what you know - commenting on Arg and F.I. issues - you are good at that.

    Who do you support?
If you sympathise with ISIS, then we already know,

If you support the innocent, freedom, democracy,
Then we are you al tearing at each other,
We all have an opinion, but we should all be united in condemning this atrocity should we not
No matter how much information we have or how diligent we are these evil murderers will find a way to get through and kill,
Governments talk big, but do little, the secret services try their best,
The military and police do a dam good job, but governments tend to fail them once the stouts die down and more cuts slip in.

Remember India, New York, London, Spain, France,
    And now France again,
Who will be next, what can we do to prevent this,
A united front of nations, stop nations donating, supporting and harbouring them will help,
Stop the radical preachers from preaching this brainwashing crap,
Throw out all suspected terrorist, DNA them all with photographs and finger printing, iris scans,
Proper scans at airports that were stopped because some objected to them.
Remove rights from these people, in preference of the mases,

On the other hand we could all just PRAY.

@87 Since you appear to be suffering from early dementia, you said @62 ”and the reasons why, in an easily understood (apart from EB who 'never' clicks links, yes, that flies) article.“ See, you mentioned me, hence my response, though I am more than happy to ignore you since you offer nothing of any worth to discussions.

You really do not know what feminism is, do you? It is not about who worked for you decades ago when you were still useful to society. ”I have had many intelligent and well qualified women work for me over my career “. Astonishingly ignorant about the meaning of feminism.

Feminism is just two words. 'Equal Opportunities'. Nothing more and nothing less than that. And yet you use the word as a form of insult to me.

Let me remind your dementia addled brain: ”Enough of your prissy little attitude to the male sex. Go play with the rest of the feminists on here, if you can find one.” Used as an insult. Feminism is about being given the same opportunities as men, nothing more. You seem to regard it as something wrong. Maybe you have more in common with ISIL members than you care to admit.

Yes, I am sick of you slavering over your keyboard panting about anal sex and blow jobs. You come across as a ranting old pervert but, hey, carry on if it is how you get your kicks.

@93 Nice attempt at a twist. ISIL are a terrorist group operating falsely in the name of Islam. They are nothing to do with Muslims. They don't act in the name of Muslims.

*sign* No I don't hate Germans - obviously. I made the comment that the idea of attacking all Muslims was akin to Hitler attacking all Jews. If you think about it, it is the same bigotry.

There are many religions that can live along side each other with tolerance. What cannot be tolerated is extremism. I extend that to all forms of religion and political ideals.

I had to chuckle at your arrogant “because I am in France now I know better than any of you lot what the French people are thinking”. Marine Le Pen - who you would dismiss as “extreme-right” (i.e., a Nazi) was already way in front of the polls BEFORE Friday, with about 30% support. So if 30% of French were “extreme right-wing Nazis” before Friday then how many more now? Seems like your French friends are as out of touch with reality as you are.

While the average muslim might not be a terrorist, or even a sympathizer of Islamic extremism, the fact remains, that if they don't want all muslims to be labelled terrorists, they should speak out against it. Very few Islamic religious leaders actually openly condemn terrorism, so by ommission they end up supporting it. Quite frankly, I don't see why Europe is so tolerant of their fanatical way-of-life, that is bent on destroying the West. Must be all the fucking liberals.
And it's definitely high-time that Europe grew a pair of balls and put an end to all this massive, uncontrolled entry of immigrants and free circulation within the EU.

I think they are trying to make their multiple personas distinct from each other, by adding a few details.
The Troll who is running wee man “voice” is the same one who ran “DoveOverDover”, a fully fleshed out “Scottish” character, so detailed that it was unsustainable - too much effort, and so much information that he got tripped up.
“voice” started out as low-maintenance persona, releasing very little info, but as he started to create fictitious scenarios, he had to embellish. There are several other personas that have the same style and use of speech, that give NO info, “vestige” (doesnt the name alone, give him away?), and “Marcos Alejandro”, neith of whom strike me as Argie.

re: my above spat with ElaineB, who kept accusing me of “hating” Muslims despite the fact (which I repeatedly emphasised, but she wasn't listening) that my ire is directed against Islam, not muslims per se.

Just found this excellent short video by a very articulate guy who I'd never heard of before - he compelling makes the case that liberals take a “collectivist” view and are incapable of making a distinction between Islam and Muslims.

Shakleton, I agree with your comments.
Now comes the part where we need to find solutions to rid the world of this problem.
    Here's my solutions.
1./ In conjunction with bombing campaigns and military force there needs to be a International effort to ostracize anyone linked in anyway to terrorism from Islam. A,/ Any terrorist or family related to them (uncles, cousins etc) can never attend ANY mosque ever and and anyone found breaking this rule stoned to death.
B./ Public campaign from the head Apple snack bars outlining very clearly that Islam is totally against what they are doing and everyone is to report anything suspicious.
C./ Rewrite the Koran with simple no bullshit clear interpretations relating to modern day life.
Massive international campaign going house to house in the Middle East documenting everyone and rooting out any sympathizers and shooting them in the street. (Tell the Press to F** off or they get shot for reporting it)
That is a start to solve the problem

How true that is my friend and yet I am reminded of Mohammed Ali's “University Speeches”.

“Let's say ten thousand rattlesnakes coming to bite me and in that ten thousand, there was one thousand who didn't mean no harm, and I knew there was a good thousand snakes out there. They all look alike so what should I do? Keep the door open and let the ten thousand in, hoping that the thousand will unite and save me even though one bite will kill me? Should I just be safe and shut the door? ”

Just think about the irony of this for one moment and it will make you smile. A muslim talking about the evil that is “The White man” and how easy it would be to use the same words to warn others about “Eeeek!!! a muslim!!”.
