Who wants the spanish royal family to visit the UK? Every time a member of our Royal Family visits one of our territories, Latinos object and complain. Then we don't want their lot in the UK. Let's all object to our MPs.

@3 I agree totally, if the conquistadors want to send their royals to the UK, how if HM government sent one of OUR senior royals to Gibraltar?

I've lived in Gib for 4 years and can confirm in many respects the Gibraltarians are more British than some in the UK and would welcome a royal visit...if that makes Spain unhappy, so be it!

Thinking abt it, I agree, when was the last time one of our royals went to Gibraltar,

why don't they, and who would they offend,
this being the case, why should they come here,

political expediency perhaps, they must have their reasons , but we will never be told anything more than its in our interests.

typical government policy, everything's in our interest when it suits them.

I'm sure HM the Queen will let them know the difference between a welcome visit and a political one.

It's important to show your underlings who is the boss now and again.

Jeremy Corbyn today called for Britain to reach a “reasonable accommodation” with Argentina over Malvinas.

There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. -Winston Churchill

@7. Corbyn, being stupid and treacherous, would also like to abandon Britain's nuclear weapons. The weapons appropriate to turn scummy argieland into a charnel house. Anyone want to see belligerent, corrupt, criminal, dishonest, fraudulent, mendacious, puerile, queer, racist, vicious, xenophobic argieland survive? Britain won't be the first. But when Macri's shitland tries to take our Islands again, look to the skies. Yes, Britain can wipe argieland off the map. And why not? It lies. Liars deserve everything they get.

And Winston Churchill made sure he pounded nazi germany into the earth. Much like Britain will do to scummy argieland. Scummy argieland cannot defeat Britain. Didn't 1982 prove that to you scummy argies?

@8 He also wants to see the return of the 70's with wildcat strikes and secondary picketing. I think he should keep talking because he will never get elected.

It will be nice for the large number of Spaniards living in the UK to see their new King as they have no chance of seeing him, and a job at home.

Simon Manley needs to understand that the only problem the people in Gibraltar have with 'co-operation' is from the dinosaur politicians in Madrid who want to turn the map of Europe back three hundred years.

if Mr corbyn ever got his way,
then Britain would almost certainly become an irrelevance on the world stage.

the G20 would almost certainly become the terrorist 20 summit.
    headed by the loony himself.

Bahahaha Marcos! Dimwit, Corbyn is unelectable, he is condemming the UK to at least another 10 years of Conservative government. The Falkland Islands are safe.

Yes Corbyn is an excellent choice as leader of Labour, he will ensure that they are not elected again. He has more chance of becoming president of Argentina. That would be ten more years of the Conservatives, who promised on P77 of their manifesto to :

“uphold the democratic rights of the people of
Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands to remain British,
for as long as that is their wish, and protect our
    Overseas Territories”.

Not to sell them out to a bunch of argies however much they wave maps of the Falkland Islands about on the media.

    8 Conqueror
We don't fear your powerful atomic bombs, I hate your ignorance not you.
    Mr. Conqueror, conquer your fears.

    Rt Hon Jeremy Corbyn
“It seems to me ridiculous that in the 21st century we’d be getting into some enormous conflict with Argentina about the islands just off it.

“I think there has to be a discussion about how you can bring about some reasonable accommodation with Argentina”

Dear Marcos Alejandro, you need to understand Corbyn will never be in government, so what he says has no influence on anything.

Instead of worrying about some islands that have no effect on Argentina
you should concentrate on eliminating corruption and making your
country successful instead of being a joke internationally.

4 - They may have to sail via Morocco to get there. If it makes them unhappy to be denied airspace and have the gate on lockdown for a week after their arrival so be it.

Typical Mercopress! When Spain is more determined as ever to claim sovereignty over Gibraltar, Mercopress reports news deviating attention from true facts. Regrettable but not surprising...
