“Im ready to be the VOICE of H.R. in the WORLD” (sic sic)
Isnt too much. Well in the world maybe, not in Arg, because here no one remembers him denouncing nothing.
He should win the peace nobel prize anyway.
    V. B. (its nicer than the way you called our other president TMBOA) very beautiful continues talking with 2 words, pobreza cero (2), combatir narcos (2) and VB (2).

Completely disagree on the drug problem.

It is not MY problem if EUians, NorthAmoans, Jappers, Chinasians, Ozzers, Chilis, and Brazzos are JUNKIES. We should not spend a cent trying to stop their addiction when they themselves are good for nothing and useless in resolving their own problem.

Which “developed” country has won the war on drugs? ONE? Failures the lot of them, but then whine because in Latin America we can't do the job for them.

It's like trying to stop people from driving cars, and the solution is to try to destroy the pipelines... someone else will find a way to supply the gasoline, and as long as the root of the problem isn't addressed, DEMAND, no final solution will arise.

We should only spend money on drug trafficking when they commit crimes within Argentina... transit, then whatever. Let them.

The fake Argentine comes out of her cave. Well, at least the fake Argentine with Tobi's ID, she still has her other identities she posts with. Tobi, do you still claim to be in Mendoza?

I'm curious, how is your autarky working out? Did you cut off all those imports and cut ties with the USA and Europe?

Capitroll @3 It may not be your problem right now but it will be. How do you think Mexico ended up with its drug problem ? because the drug gangs transporting the drugs to the US discovered that they had a ready made market in Mexico. Same thing has happened in Central America. If Argentina is being used as a conduit for shipping drugs to Europe, you will find in no time that these savvy entrepreneurs will be establishing distribution networks in Argentina and then fighting territorial battles over those networks. You do not want to wait till all that happens before taking action.

@3 “ It is not MY problem....”

( “When Argentina is strong and united.....”)

How very perfectly Argentine. Denial. Imagination. Avestruces.

Might not be your personal problem. But how about Rosario, where the drug-trafficking murder rate is about on a par with Chicago now?

From a short time ago, in English:

”No one is safe from Argentina's drug war

Since the KepiTroll and some others among us can probably read jibber-jabber, here is a quaint little article on how the drug trafficking business and gangs have taken over

Macri is doing a decent job with the absolute mess he inherited. I am concerned that he's giving in to the unions, supporting price controls and enerally still poking around and trying to direct the marketplace.
The Federal Gov't should not be negotiating with Unions.
How this ever started is beyond comprehension.

Tell those stupid teachers to work or starve and be done with it.
Let the Gov't worker Unions strike and don't pay them.
They'll come back when they're hungry.

These Rgs need to learn they're part of the 3rd world and not the EU.
There's no money left to pay them a raise
    Deal with it
    or
    not

The EU or the UK have money? That's news to me and most of the planet. Both are broke, just recycling debt over and over and both are just about to go into negative interest rates... lol, how dire is that. I didn't even think that even could exist.

As for the other question, there is no better place than Mendoza in late february and early March... I'm tired of having to prove anything to everyone else, time everyone else prove to me some things.

Captain Poppy, prove to me your wife is argie or STFU.

What Rgs can't seem to understand is when they raise people's pay 40% inflation next year will be 50% and so on and so on until it goes into hyperinflation.
They've experienced hyperinflation before they should know this but somehow they're too stupid to figure out one begets the other.

All they have to do is look to Venezuela if they can't remember the 90s.

I'd not give anyone a raise this year or next until inflation is in the single digits.

Why do people expect Macri to fix all the problems instantly? T_Paine, do you sincerely believe that everything is fixable in a month or two. Or even a year or two?

Macri can't just disempower all the unions at once. Indeed, unions in developing countries have an important role to play. Doesn't mean they should be as powerful as they are. But that takes time.

Wage increases cannot cease instantly. Inflation is more that just increased wages. There are other factors at play. Wages are just one. An important one. But still just one. Funding deficits by printing money is a major cause. Macri is tackling this by opening up financing options for the deficit by being able to borrow.

Wage increases will need to taper down but doing it instantly won't solve inflation and will cause economic dislocation without any initial benefits visible to the voting public.

Problems aren't created overnight and neither are the solutions.

The Rgs are incapable of “taking one for the team” and pitching in to do what each individual can do to help get back on the road to prosperity.

Screaming and striking for massive increases in wages in all sectors is shameful.

Price controls have only ever lead to shortages and more inflation.

Macri's tone and market manipulation must end before its too late.

VB, the world H.R. leader, as he proclaims, worked WITH the dictatorship. everybody knows that or google it.
didnt receive abuelas for three months at the beginning of a new gov.
and has Milagro Sala in jail while she has not been judged.
saying these, he has all the conditions to be given the peace nobel prize twice.

@20 In fact, just reading the news of the Argento central bank spending US$ 119 million (of recently borrowed money) to do just that. The central bank is just bleeding dollars. Reserves have fallen by more than US$1 billion just in February. Since that money is borrowed the cost is actually much higher and the political cost is in the clouds.

The ARS is in trouble and increasingly so, selling at more than 15.6 to the USD (after selling at a bit over 13 in December). As the article indicates, prices are already being calculated with the ARS at 16/dollar. This will not end well, though perhaps not catastrophically just yet. Already there are signs of Macri losing support internally. The breakthroughs he promised are turning out to be more fairy-tales. The foreign press are a little slow in these matters and most have not caught on. Just loan me a little more, everything will work out OK in time...
