On Friday, the Rolling Stones became the first major international rock band to play in Cuba, drawing hundreds of thousands of people to a free concert at a decrepit sports complex on the road to the airport. For years, following the Cuban revolution, rock music was banned on Cuban state TV and radio. In Lima 2 weeks ago an 8 year old boy was holding up a sign in front of the Cathedral that read ”Peru is waiting for you - See you soon Coldplay” His mum was taking a photo that was probably be posted on social media. Our music is a great ambassador for Britain across the world, even in the dark country.
